Lloyd let out a long sigh, it had been exhausting without doubt.

Upon seeing him the beast-men rushed over to thank him for having saved the village.

Lloyd also learned that they would now be under his command, since after all Lloyd was the chosen one and the one who had saved the village.

The boy felt that was quite useful, on one hand he would not only be seen favorably by the tribe, but they would also be at his service.

It was always good to have several soldiers, since after all Lloyd wasn’t sure if the territory’s soldiers and guards had more loyalty to his father than to Bernard.

The most probable was the latter, since moreover his father was supposedly dead.

Even if Lucia obtained the evidence to prove Bernard’s crimes, it was likely the latter wouldn’t surrender.

"What are you thinking about?" Sköll asked curiously while walking near the boy. "About food? Are you hungry perhaps?"

The girl asked.

Lloyd could perfectly intuit it was Sköll who was hungry, however, he also felt like eating.

After all he had been "resting" for 27 days and therefore hadn’t eaten anything during all that time.

"Yes Sköll, thank you for your concern," Lloyd responded calmly feigning gratitude.

Lloyd raised his eyebrows. Generally it wasn’t so simple to get points, however he had just earned 5 V.P with just doing a small performance.

Why was that?

Lloyd decided not to give it too much importance, because 5 V.P wasn’t much either.

"Hehehe, it’s nothing, you know I’m too kind," the golden-haired girl said with pride.

Lloyd smiled slightly, he couldn’t deny Sköll’s company was fun.

"And where will we go to eat?" Lloyd asked intrigued while continuing to walk.

Sköll took some long steps with a jump while following him.

"Well we’ll go to the dining hall, obviously. Maybe they already have something to eat," the girl responded energetically while giving little jumps to advance.

Lloyd turned, looking at Alice. She kept walking calmly, with her usual inexpressive expression.

She was really different from Sköll who was much more energetic and cheerful.

Though he couldn’t blame Alice either, after all she had been through a lot.

Everything she had suffered in that village had transformed her until turning her into an empty shell.

Part of Lloyd felt bad for her, but another part knew it was better that way.

After all Alice would become a loyal weapon with time, it was better she had a calm and obedient attitude than a rebellious and impulsive attitude like Sköll’s.

"We’re here! It smells so good!" Sköll exclaimed with a smile.

In front of him Lloyd found a cabin, and in front of the cabin there was a fire pit in which fish was being cooked.

The smell of fried fish slid through Lloyd’s nostrils, awakening his appetite even more.

Though it was true his palate wasn’t accustomed to something so rudimentary, hunger made that fact matter little.

"Oh, hello sister, I see you’ve returned," a voice then said.

Lloyd noticed her, she was also a beast-woman, like Sköll.

However, her hair was black and her eyes intense blue and she looked much calmer than Sköll.

She wore a blue kimono with a floral print.

Lloyd didn’t take long to recognize her, it was Hati, Sköll’s sister.

"Hello little sister! Look who woke up!" the golden-haired girl cheerfully announced while extending her hands toward Lloyd.

Hati’s eyes opened wide upon recognizing Lloyd, upon seeing him, the girl bowed politely in a reverence.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you Master Lloyd, allow me to thank you on behalf of the entire tribe for what you have done for us, we will never forget your good deeds," the wolf-woman recited with politeness and seriousness. "Please, don’t hesitate to ask us for help when you need it, we will try to settle our debts for the rest of our lives."

The girl affirmed.

Lloyd was slightly surprised, Hati was very different from her sister.

While he knew those characters from the novel, the truth is Sköll acted very differently in the present.

The reason for that was surely that the assassin guild didn’t take control of her.

Therefore, he didn’t expect Hati’s attitude to be so different from her sister’s.

In every sense they were opposite poles.

"The pleasure is mine, I suppose you must be Sköll’s sister, Hati, your sister has told me a lot about you," Lloyd responded, while also bowing as noble etiquette dictated. "And you shouldn’t worry, I intend to use the Fenrir tribe’s power, but I’m sure it will benefit us both."

It was undeniable, after all Lloyd wanted to use them to fight the assassin guild’s accomplice.

Finishing off Bernard would be finalizing the revenge the beast-men so wanted.

"I see, use us as you see fit Lord Lloyd," the girl answered politely, while nodding.

Lloyd was increasingly surprised at the idea that Sköll and Hati shared DNA.

"Please, just call me Lloyd, I prefer our relationship to be friendly," the boy answered, with the same elegance as the girl.

After all Lloyd had learned etiquette, so it was easy for him to maintain a conversation with Hati.

Hati had always followed etiquette rules to the letter, so she always acted respectfully and politely.

Sköll on the other hand, just watched the conversation bored.

"How pompous you are, I knew you’d get along well," the young woman said while eating from her fish skewer.

That day Lloyd made a new friendship.
