Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf-Chapter 52: Slow Uncovering
Adrian went to prepare the prison room again, tonight was another full moon and he couldn’t have Sam rampaging around.
Before he could go down the demon reappeared before him, this time she had brought more news.
She obviously couldn’t rise through the ranks so quickly so it wasn’t much but she did hear rumours of a living human being in hell.
But she didn’t know where she was kept, she felt Adrian’s blood boil and that terrified her.
Adrian gave her his blood and told her to go back then he continued with his task, before night came he went out.
It was late afternoon and the time for school to end for the day. He went to see Annie again still maintaining his distance.
But when he got there he saw somebody he hadn’t expected to see.
--------------------------
Sanchez was very stressed, a trail of bodies had been in left in the city and her superiors were in her tail.
However there seems to be some force in the shadows covering everything up before everything could go public.
But when she saw the pictures of those hyena like monsters she knew they were real.
She had a feeling Adrian was involved in this somehow but she couldn’t find anything about him at all.
Ever since she lost him that night she had never seen him again, even after searching for so long there were no signs of him.
She saw the girl coming out and intercepted her along with her friend. " Annie, detective Sanchez, I’m not sure if you remember me.."
" I do." Annie answered with a smile, " Is something wrong detective?" She asked.
" Has Adrian contacted you?" Sanchez got straight to the point without beating around the bush.
Annie looked confused then her confusion turned into worry, " No is..is everything okay, is Adrain in trouble?"
" No, he’s not in trouble I just need to ask him some questions but I can’t seem to get hold of him.
If he does contact you, please call me directly." She turned around and left the two confused girls.
Sanchez sighed in her car then drove off.
--------------------------
Adrain watched her car drive off, ’ I should deal with this, tomorrow.’ he watched Annie until she left then jumped off and left.
After Adrain left, Eve looked at where he had been, ghost whispered in her ear but their voices were faint during the day.
But her ability to communicate with them had grown much stronger than before, she had learnt of a way to grow her ability.
She needed to resolve the lingering regret of the ghosts and set them free, initially she did this to help them not knowing what the results would be.
But then that spirit was bound to her and became hers, she could feel connection to it like it was part of her body.
She continued doing this but instead of leaving, the spirits would stay and be bound to her.
Of course she didn’t want this, Eve wanted them to go to the afterlifez unfortunately that was beyond her power currently, it was up to them.
She shook her head, she believed he was looking after her, after all she remembers she started feeling being watched the day after they faced that demon.
Eve did not even correlate the Adrain she met and the one the detective is looking for, in her eyes, her Adrain was too powerful for a human detective to be looking for.
She did not even realise she was calling him her Adrian.
--------------------------
The man in question had ran back home and spent the rest of the time sparring with Sam, or rather beating the living hell out of him.
Night came and they locked themselves in silver and waited and just like the first night, Sam turned berserk.
Adrian still retained his rationality but he could feel that he was losing himself slowly.
He thought of Annie to calm himself down and his mind returned to him. He wondered why he was losing himself again.
He thought he had gained control over his emotions but lately he’d been feeling a lot of rage boil up inside him.
Morning came and Adrian went in take a shower, they spent the rest of the day playing with their powers.
Sam looked happy, genuinely happy and he couldn’t remember the last time he felt like this, like a child.
All of the pent up childhood he never got to experience came rushing out all at once and he became as playful as a puppy.
He became oven more competitive than Adrian offering up challenges with every chance he got.
Mostly speed related since that was his forte, naturally he lost very badly, even without using any abilities.
As long as Adrain took his second form, his speed was slightly higher than that of Sam using moon step.
When Adrian used his own speed enhancement he nearly broke the sound barrier.
A speed Sam couldn’t match, his top speed was around 270 metres per second which was insanely fast.
That is not even mentioning the fact that both of them were children in terms of being Fayera.
The age of Fayera turned from humans are counted in the time they’ve been Fayera, in fact this also went for Espara.
So technically Adrain was two months old and Sam was a month old, they were literal infants.
Yet their power surpassed that of vampires who had lived for decades or even centuries, a testament of their race’s strength.
Of course there was also the fact that they ate a lot of esper heart in the previous month thus growing their power rapidly.
The two of them spent their day in leisure but that was not the case for a group of people.
---------------------
It had been a month since the waking up of the first Shaggathan, while they lost a few people they managed to contain that nest.
Fortunately it was a small nest with less than 20 living Shaggathan, the rest had died in slumber.
Of then only two were level 2 making the nest easy to contain, unfortunately they had underestimated the severity of things.
Before anybody could react, another nest woke up and this time all at once, it happened on a hidden island far from the mainland.
This made it hard to detect and by the time they reacted it was already too late. Four small towns were wiped out.
Covering that up was hard but they managed to do it or so they thought, unfortunately two siblings survived by a miracle.
The 16 year old sister managed to record the attack of the Shaggathan and post it online asking for help.
By the time the government reacted it was already too late, they tried to cover the situation but the more they tried the more they made people suspicious.
Those who had family members living in those towns were even more adamant about going home.
The leaders of the S.C. felt themselves losing their hair, the supernatural world had a feeling they wouldn’t remain a secret for long now.
