Chapter 120: ...hashing it out the old-school way."

Well, that’s what he concluded but Qie Xieling was wondering if they used to interact like this before. He couldn’t help but try and recall how intimate they were in the past and his reaction then.

Back then he didn’t seem to care but just now when Luo Muchen reached over he felt like he had received an electric shock. The feeling was really hard to explain.

Luo Muchen shifted uncomfortably in the passenger seat of his sleek, hybrid sports car as they drove down the empty highway. It was hard to concentrate on the beautiful scenery whizzing by them when Qie Xieling was right next to him, his heartbeat pounding in his chest.

"You are actually a great driver," he said when they came to a slow stop at the red traffic light.

"You really think so? Nana Wen taught me," he said seeming proud.

Luo Muchen turned to look at him while saying, "Really, I thought your father would teach you."

Qie Xieling’s lips quirked slightly while saying, "He tried but we got so mad at each other that he almost disowned me."

Qie Ranzhe had every right to be mad. Left was right to Qie Xieling and he would drive like a snail that even snails would be honking at him to get out of the road. When Qie Ranzhe tried to correct him, his tone would be harsh and things would escalate so Nana Wen had to step in as the most patient and less crazy. Nana Qie would have most likely taught him offensive driving which wasn’t a good thing at all.

When they reached the high-rise building, Qie Xieling parked in his underground parking next to his motorcycle. He switched off the engine and got out of the car. The thrill and rush off having driven his dream car hadn’t dissipated yet as he ran his hand over the sleek body of the car.

Luo Muchen who bought this car on purpose to lure Qie Xieling into his trap suddenly wanted to gift it to him.

"You can have it," he suddenly said and Qie Xieling’s eyes widened in disbelief.

"What? Are you serious?" he asked.

Luo Muchen nodded. "Absolutely. I don’t mind giving it to you," as he took a step closer. Not only a car but he was willing to give him anything he wants.

His fingers curled on his side hesitant to reach out and touch Qie Xieling’s hand that was a few inches away. Qie Xieling laughed, "My pa will kill me right after my nana chases me with a broom for taking advantage of you. I value my life."

The two of them stepped into the private elevator and stood side by side wordlessly. Luo Muchen wanted to ask about the picture with Lee Ya as his heart wasn’t settled at all but as the numbers on the LED screen increased, the harder it was for him to open his mouth.

With a ding, they reached the top floor and the doors opened to a luxurious penthouse spanning two floors with a private Infinity pool and cinema room.

Qie Xieling changed out of his sneakers and put on his black slippers. He took out another pair and these were white and fluffy. "Here, wear these," he said before getting up and heading upstairs.

Luo Muchen changed out of his shoes and walked in curiously looking around. Qie Xieling had pictures everywhere. Pictures with his family and there was even a picture of him with Bo Ailun. When he found that there was none of him and Qie Xieling he felt despondent.

While wallowing in his sadness, Qie Xieling came back downstairs holding a pair of gym shorts and a vest. He had also changed into the same clothes just a different colour.

As Luo Muchen stood there, admiring Qie Xieling, a feeling of warmth spread through his entire body. He couldn’t help but gaze at the rippling muscles on Qie Xieling’s arms, particularly his biceps and triceps. The way they bulged and flexed with every movement was mesmerizing to him. He had never been so enamoured by someone before.

Qie Xieling tossed the clothes at him and said, "There is a bathroom there. Change into this and meet me in the gym."

As Qie Xieling walked past him heading towards the gym, Luo Muchen remained rooted to the spot, lost in thought. He couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to run his hands over those muscles and feel them flexing beneath his fingertips. The mere thought sent shivers down his spine.

Ten minutes later he walked into the gym overlooking the infinity pool outside through the ceiling-to-floor windows.

Qie Xieling was stretching his legs like he was getting ready for a workout. "What are we doing?" asked Luo Muchen and Qie Xieling stepped on the map while replying,

"Well, hashing it out the old-school way. We are going to have to wrestle. After this, all is forgiven."

Luo Muchen, "..."

He honestly thought he was kidding but looking at Qie Xieling’s serious expression he meant it. Whoever loses will concede and will let bygones be bygones. Qie Xieling was very confident in his natural strength and athleticism.

As Luo Muchen stepped onto the mat his heart was racing. He was nervous, not just about the match, but also about his feelings for Qie Xieling. He knew that he had to keep his emotions in check or risk exposing himself.

"Don’t go easy on me otherwise lose my number," he said. Those words resonated with Luo Muchen so much that he sobered up.

The match began, and they both lunged at each other, trying to gain the upper hand. Luo Muchen was surprised by how strong and quick Qie Xieling was, but he managed to hold his own.

Luo Muchen made his move, lunging forward with a tackle. Qie Xieling managed to dodge it and counter with a leg sweep, but Luo Muchen quickly recovered and tackled him to the ground.

As they grappled and tussled, Luo Muchen found himself getting lost in the moment. He was enjoying the physicality of the match, but he was also enjoying being so close to Qie Xieling.

After what seemed like an eternity, Qie Xieling made a mistake, and Luo Muchen saw an opportunity. He took advantage of the opening and managed to lock Qie Xieling into a submission hold. Qie Xieling struggled to escape, but he was overpowered, and he had to tap out.

As they lay on the mat, catching their breath, Luo Muchen felt a mix of emotions. He was happy that he had won the match and couldn’t wait to end this conflict.

He lay on his side and looked at Qie Xieling who was wiping the sweat on his forehead. "I am sorry," said Luo Muchen his voice low and deep.

Qie Xieling rubbed his temples while replying, "I am the one who should apologise. I was pissed off when you left... You didn’t even see me before you left. I was waiting for you at the hospital but you never showed up and the next time you spoke to me you told me you were leaving. I was hurt and I lashed out. I shouldn’t have held a grudge for so long. I am sorry."
