Chapter 323: Massimo’s Stupid Decision

Even though he was out of the hospital, Massimo did not get into the car, instead he chose to sit on the steps which were quite crowded with people with their heads down. Martin, who was worried that Massimo’s identity would be exposed, immediately ordered his men to divert the pedestrian path that had previously passed through the stairs where Massimo was sitting in another direction.

"I’m sorry dear," Massimo said softly with teary eyes staring at his shiny shoes.

Thinking back on Gina’s condition, which was so bad that Massimo couldn’t think, his intelligent brain was frozen like ice at the poles. It’s cold to know that the woman he loves so much would rather commit suicide than live with her.

The two slashes made by Gina really emphasized how much she wanted to die and it touched Massimo’s deepest ego, how could there be a woman who would rather end her life than live by her side. Massimo’s head was completely filled with the same questions one after another, all this time Massimo thought he had managed to get Gina by tying her into marriage. One thing Massimo never wanted to do, but with Gina he was willing to break his own promise not to marry.

And it turned out that Massimo’s assumption was wrong, even though he had made Gina bound, in fact he had not succeeded in making Gina melt. All the crazy things Massimo used to do when spoiling his previous women had been done with Gina, but still Gina didn’t want to give up her heart. That girl would even prefer to die! Damn it.

Suddenly Massimo shouted loudly, releasing a tightness that squeezed his chest. He let out the curse he had been holding back when he first heard the information that Gina had tried to commit suicide.

"Stupid woman, she really doesn’t know herself," said Massimo breathlessly. "It’s up to her if she wants to die, just die please and don’t make it difficult for others."

Silence

Martin and all his other subordinates did not comment on the words of the master who was cursing his wife’s stupid actions.

"Martin."

"Yes, sir," said Martin quickly.

"Come in and meet Julian, get the pendrive and the damn tablet. You’ve got no less than five minutes," Massimo said coldly.

Martin opened his mouth wide in disbelief at the command he had just received, until finally a second later Martin realized his mistake. Without daring to return Massimo’s murderous gaze, Martin quickly ran back into the hospital to retrieve the flash drive and tablet that Julian had shown earlier. Massimo stood with his hands on his waist, waiting for Martin to appear. The decision was unanimous to let Gina go. Let alone the girl will not be far from him, Gina is his wife. A day or two apart didn’t matter to Massimo.

Not less than five minutes Martin was running towards Massimo with Diego’s tablet which was used to store the video previously aimed at Massimo, Martin’s sweat was pouring out when he stopped in front of Massimo who was waiting for him.

"Done?" asked Massimo curtly.

Martin raised the tablet and flash that was in his hands into the air at the same time. "Yes, sir."

"Good, we’re going home."

Martin nodded his head, agreeing with Massimo’s words who had walked calmly to his car which was parked right in front of the steps where he had been sitting before. With his eyes closed Massimo sat in the back seat, letting Pablo carry him home. A house that certainly won’t be the same after Gina left and Massimo hasn’t realized his biggest mistake by choosing to agree to Julian’s offer, Massimo doesn’t know what regrets await him ahead.

Seeing the fact that Gina chose to end her life made Massimo confused and unable to think clearly, all the decisions he made were purely egotistical. The same ego, which made him hurt Gina unconsciously. Massimo’s excessive jealousy of Gina had driven him out of control and hurt Gina last night, treating her like his bitches when they were making love.

Even though his eyes were closed but Massimo was not really sleeping, his mind kept wandering around looking for answers to the questions that still bothered him. Why did Gina choose suicide, why did Gina choose to leave him when there were so many women lining up behind him and why couldn’t Gina love him as much as she loved her. Massimo’s thoughts finally disappeared when Martin called his name softly when he got home, just like before Massimo didn’t say anything when he got out of the car. Massimo stepped into the house ignoring the welcome given by his servants, his goal being to get to his room on the third floor as soon as possible.

Massimo wanted to see all the mess that Gina had made, but Massimo’s wish was not fulfilled because when he arrived on the third floor everything seemed normal and nothing happened. The floor of the room is shiny as usual, the smell of the room is also fragrant. There wasn’t the slightest sign of a mess there.

"You’ll definitely come back to me, Gina," Massimo said quietly confidently when he had slammed his body on his big bed which was a silent witness to how last night Gina cried until her voice ran out as she begged Massimo to end his ordeal.

Because he was too tired finally Massimo closed his eyes while enjoying the remnants of Gina’s scent that was still left on the bed, Gina was opium to him. All things intoxicating are with Gina and Massimo is not willing if Gina is with someone else, especially if that person is Lucas Dom, the eternal rival.

Hospital St. Elizabeth, 1.30 PM.

"Are you sure it won’t be dangerous, Patrick?" asked Julian hoarsely, frightened.

Patrick nodded slowly. "We’re with a professional doctor, Julian. There’s also Alexandre who knows Gina well, so there’s nothing more for you to fear."

"But Gina...."

"Sshhh... we don’t have much chance, Julian. We have to get Gina out of Massimo’s reach, before that guy comes back and changes his mind," Patrick said sharply cutting Julian off.

"Are you sure he’ll be back?" asked Julian uncertainly.

"1000 percent sure, Massimo is very obsessed with our daughter. And I’m sure the decision was taken because he was just emotional. Don’t forget, Massimo is a pure descendant of Marius del Cano. They must have the same madness," replied Patrick quickly as he continued to push the bed where Gina slept to the secret door that would take her away from the hospital.

Julian nodded his head at Patrick’s words, with a long sigh Julian increased his strength to help Patrick and Diego along with Alexandre and a senior doctor push Gina’s bed. As soon as Massimo decided to take Diego’s video, Patrick immediately asked Julian and Diego to get ready. After previously consulting with several doctors, Gina was finally allowed to be transferred on the condition that she had to get the close supervision of the doctor in charge. Alexandre also volunteered as a guarantor that he would supervise Gina with the help of his senior, Doctor Jason who is one of the best surgeons at St Elisabeth Hospital. Accompanied by an experienced nurse, Gina was finally allowed to be transferred from St. Hospital. Elizabeth heads to the hospital that Patrick and Julian have chosen simultaneously in a developed country in the middle east which is Patrick and Brigitta’s second home.

Once Gina made it into the ambulance safely, Patrick and Julian hugged each other even though sweat dripped down their foreheads and bodies.

"For Gina’s sake," Patrick said quietly.

"For Gina’s sake." Julian replied to Patrick’s words with emotion.

Brigitta who was standing behind Julian then landed her hand and gently patted Julian’s back. "Thank you, Julian. Thank you for going this far."

Julian let go of Patrick’s arms and looked at Brigitta who was the same height as Sandra, towering like the model he had passed on to Gina. "I entrust my daughter to you," said Julian hoarsely.

"Gina is our daughter too, Julian. Don’t worry, Patrick and I will take good care of Gina."

Julian’s eyes filled with tears. "Say my apologies when she wakes up."

Patrick shook his head, he grabbed Julian’s body again and hugged him tightly. "You should speak directly, Julian."

Julian nodded his head in Patrick’s arms, not long after he released his arms from Patrick because doctors Jason and Alexandre called from inside the ambulance that would take Gina to the airport.

"After landing don’t forget to let me know," Rosa said hoarsely to Alexandre.

"Sure, that’s the first thing I’d do, honey," Alexandre replied quietly reassuring Rosa.

Rosa nodded her head, she then brought Alexandre’s hand to her lips and gave him a kiss on the back of her hand before the ambulance door closed from the inside and made Rosa have to be willing to part with Alexandre.

Selena, who had been silent beside Diego, then grabbed Rosa’s body and hugged her tightly.

"It’s ok, Gina is safe now," Diego said quietly.

"Then what about us? Are you sure Massimo would have kept quiet if he found out Gina was hidden?" Selena asked hoarsely, seeing the wounds on Gina’s body made Selena scared. Selena’s guilt immediately appeared when he saw Gina had to lie down in a pathetic state.

Julian spread his arms around Selena, Rosa and Diego. "There’s a Daddy who will take care of you, don’t be afraid, okay?"

"I can take care of myself, Daddy. And I can also help Daddy take care of these two spoiled girls," Diego said quickly when he had released his arms from his stepfather.

Julian smiled. "Sorry, Daddy forgot that Daddy has a reliable hero. I’m sorry, Diego."

Diego returned Julian’s smile, he then grabbed Julian’s body and hugged him tightly. "I’m sorry for all my behavior so far, Dad. I really am stupid."

"No, you don’t need to apologize because Daddy is also at fault in this. Forgive Daddy too if you’ve been hurting you all this time."

Diego shook his head. "I will always be beside Daddy."

"Thank you, Diego."

Rosa wiped her tears. "I will always be with Daddy too."

"Me too, Daddy. Don’t forget us," Selena muttered, not wanting to lose.

Julian chuckled, tears of joy dripping down seeing his three children who were now hugging him together. It seems that the so-called blessing behind the disaster really happened in Julian’s life at this time, the attitude of the three children changed drastically when they saw Gina unconscious. The guilt that attacked Rosa and Selena made the two girls regret that they had been unkind to Gina at her mother’s instigation. Well, it looks like the good side in Julian managed to grow inside Selena and Rosa today. And for Diego, he has his own reasons for choosing to be beside his stepfather.

After the car carrying Gina was nowhere to be seen, Julian then took his children home. Today was really a tiring day for him, his decision to divorce Vanessa was unanimous. Vanessa’s indifferent attitude towards Gina made Julian’s heart hurt, that’s why he took the big decision to divorce the woman who had accompanied him for almost nineteen years.

All the way home, Julian smiled when he heard Selena and Rosa’s babble leaning against him. The two girls were back like the girls he had known when they were seven and nine years old, still innocent. His sadness at thinking about Gina was slightly healed because of Selena and Rosa.

"Don’t worry, Daddy. Gina will be fine," Diego said quietly from the front seat looking at Julian who suddenly wiped his tears.

Julian smiled wryly. "Yeah, Daddy hope so too."

"Well then, Daddy don’t be sad, we still have us who will always accompany Daddy," said Rosa quickly, not wanting to lose to Diego.

"Daddy’s not sad, Daddy’s happy because the sweet children that Daddy knows are back like they used to be," said Julian honestly.

"Daddy!!" screamed Rosa and Selena at the same time.

"Don’t talk like that, Daddy," Selena added hoarsely. "We will always be beside Daddy."

Rosa who was already embracing Julian’s body immediately nodded her head quickly in response to Selena’s words, from the front seat Diego chuckled amused at the behavior of his two younger sisters who were being very spoiled. Julian silently thanked Diego to which Diego replied with a small nod that made Julian’s heart feel at ease even though he had to be willing to let Gina go to be cared for by Patrick and Brigitta.

Diego sat back quietly looking at the increasingly deserted streets, nature seemed to be grieving for what happened to their family today.

"Get well soon, Gina. We will definitely see you when everything is fine," Diego said in his heart.

A few moments ago when Patrick suggested taking Gina away from Barcelona and Massimo without a second thought Diego immediately supported his uncle’s plan and was willing to be a shield for Julian if Massimo came to him later when he didn’t find Gina, that’s why Julian agreed to Patrick’s plan and allowed Gina taken away.
