Chapter 1088: Chapter 952: How About This?

"Awaken, Pan Demnim..."

In a daze, such a voice reached Pan Demnim’s ears, or rather directly resounded in her mind, awakening her consciousness.

"Ugh..."

As her consciousness gradually awoke from its comatose state, it didn’t make Pan Demnim feel comfortable; instead, it made her feel indescribable pain.

Intense pain seemed to come from every corner of her body, deliberately tormenting her, forcing Pan Demnim to let out a muffled cry of agony.

Yet Pan Demnim still managed to wake up smoothly, as if guided by a mysterious force, causing her to open her eyes.

As soon as she opened her eyes, Pan Demnim realized she was in a severely solemn Divine Hall.

It was the atmosphere she detested the most, filled with seriousness, holiness, solemnity, and stereotyped impressions, making her instinctively feel displeased.

But what made her even more displeased were the three people standing before her, quietly watching her.

It was a combination of one man and two women.

"So you really woke up, huh?"

The man who had led Pan Demnim to her current plight spoke in admiration.

"Of course, after all, I slightly manipulated her fate."

Renowned as the strongest deity of modern times, the Fate Goddess said this rather proudly.

"You can hear us now, can’t you, Pan Demnim?"

The Life Goddess, the gentlest and most compassionate deity towards worldly life in the Divine World, cast her gaze on Pan Demnim.

This combination of one man and two women were all people Pan Demnim knew, and none of them made her feel comfortable.

"Fate Goddess Lidas... Life Goddess Anima..."

Pan Demnim whispered the names of these top deities of the Divine Race and turned her gaze to the final human male.

Her gaze was filled with malice, her eyes radiating a sense of hatred, like a grievously injured beast ready to rage, sending chills down one’s spine.

Unfortunately, when Pan Demnim attempted to move, she realized that not only could she not pounce forward, but even moving a bit was difficult.

Because her hands and feet were bound by chains emitting a faint glow, directly hung before that combination of one man and two women, as if nailed to a cross, completely immobile.

This instinctively made Pan Demnim prepare to use her authority to break free.

Being able to cheat even death, attempting to deceive the fact that "she was being bound" and thus break free from imprisonment was not a difficult task for Pan Demnim.

But soon, Pan Demnim gave up.

Not only because the chains binding her were not made of ordinary metal but were Demon Weapons crafted by the Demon King himself, making it impossible for her to break free easily, but also because the severe pain throughout her body told her she was already gravely injured, and even if she broke free from the chains, escape was impossible.

Pan Demnim fell silent.

After a moment, she started to laugh.

"Seems like I still have some value, and you spared my life."

Pan Demnim laughed very mockingly.

Seeing this, Shane didn’t react, but Lidas and Anima’s expressions were very serious and heavy.

"Evil God Pan Demnim," Anima said, "We have something to ask you."

The Life Goddess spoke earnestly without reservation, which not only didn’t make Pan Demnim accept it but made her laugh even more mockingly.

"As expected of the gentlest goddess of the Divine World, even when speaking to an evil god and traitor like me, your manner of speaking is so earnest." Pan Demnim mocked, "But do you think I’ll obediently listen to you?"

Pan Demnim’s attitude spoke volumes about the problem.

Lidas got angry.

"Even at this point, do you still refuse to cooperate?"

Lidas questioned.

"Of course." Pan Demnim replied without any hesitation, still very mockingly, "I’m curious, what makes you think that after falling to this state, I’d obediently cooperate with you?"

"You..." Lidas got a bit heated.

Not only Lidas, but even the usually mild-tempered Anima’s expression gradually became heavy.

No wonder, Pan Demnim’s sarcastic and malicious attitude made it easy for anyone to lose composure.

Only Shane stood with arms crossed, watching with a faint smile.

"You don’t think we dare to use extrajudicial measures, do you?" Shane asked curiously, "Or do you think no matter what methods are used here, you can deceive it with your authority?"

If that were the case, then Shane might just have to give her a hard lesson, to let this evil god know how she ended up in her current state.

Pan Demnim, as if seeing through Shane’s thoughts, stared at him with eyes as dark as pitch.

That gaze was formed by boundless negative emotions intertwining together.

Without a doubt, Shane was the person Pan Demnim hated the most.

In this world, where she had acted wantonly for thousands of years, the goddess of deception and taboo had never fallen to such a state before.

In the past, even when death approached, she could still face it with a malignant smile.

Only today, in front of Shane, who could ignore her authority, she failed.

But, even though she failed, it didn’t mean Pan Demnim would be afraid as a result.

She was an evil god, a god extremely fascinated and yearning for the domain of taboos.

Whether it was death or pain, she would regard them as nectar.

Therefore...

"Don’t think that just because I’ve fallen into your hands, I’ll obey, Hero." Pan Demnim sneered, "I know what you want to learn from me. Frankly, I wouldn’t mind telling you. Betraying once is betrayal, betraying twice is also betrayal, and I have no attachment to that newborn [Primordial Demon]. I just thought joining it could make me happier."

"But if it fulfills your wish, I won’t be happy."

"So, I’ll just say nothing."

Pan Demnim showed Shane a detestable smile.

"What do you plan to do with someone as uncooperative as me?"

"Torture me?"

"Interrogate me?"

"Or simply take away my purity and turn me into your plaything?"

"It’s okay, I accept it all."

"As long as it makes you uncomfortable, then I’ll be satisfied. What is a little physical and mental torment?"

"Why don’t you just let me go, and I’ll undress myself, how about that?"

"I can guarantee that I’ll give you the most pleasurable experience, and then, at your peak, turn into the ugliest old woman in the world, haunting your nightmares forever!"

"Hahaha... hahahahaha...!"

Pan Demnim’s malicious laughter spread throughout the Divine Hall.

Lidas and Anima looked at Pan Demnim, their expressions turning cold.

To these two pure and flawless Goddesses at the pinnacle of the Divine Race, Pan Demnim’s filthy words could only cause their disgust.

Yet the angrier and more disgusted they were, the happier Pan Demnim became.

"That’s right, that’s right, I just want to see those expressions of yours, wanting to tear me to pieces, yet helpless against me."

With that, Pan Demnim shifted her gaze to Shane.

"Are you itching to kill me now, Hero?"

"You can go ahead, it doesn’t matter."

"As long as I can see your troubled face before I die, I can die with a smile."

"Want to give it a try?"

Pan Demnim provoked Shane like this, causing Shane’s arms, initially crossed over his chest, to unconsciously lower. Though his face showed little anger, his eyes revealed a look of revulsion.

"You really are the most disgusting, most detestable person I have ever met."

Shane said expressionlessly.

"Thank you for the compliment." Pan Demnim sneered, "That’s the kind of person I am, the kind of god I am. The more people hate me, the more they loathe me, the happier I am."

This was by no means bravado.

This Evil God could calmly enjoy the pain and despair of others, as well as her own.

It’s for this reason that she was the most dangerous Goddess.

Shane was well aware that torturing her, interrogating her, inflicting pain on her was the most futile course of action; it would never make her yield, much less frighten her, it would only bring her happiness and joy.

As she herself stated, as long as she could disgust Shane during her suffering, even right before death, and see his repulsive and furious expression, that would satisfy this Evil God.

The Evil God named Pan Demnim was such an existence.

"That’s why I dislike Evil Gods."

Lidas finally voiced her true feelings.

"So negotiations were indeed futile?"

Anima seemed to have somewhat anticipated this outcome, muttering to herself.

Shane continued watching Pan Demnim, this Evil God filled with dense dark malevolence, and suddenly began to smile.

"Do you think I’m really helpless against you?"

Shane uttered these words.

"And what could you possibly do to me?"

Pan Demnim laughed dismissively.

To be able to laugh and enjoy pain and death, Pan Demnim did not believe that there was anything in this world that could make her feel fear or force her to yield.

At least, in her lifetime, such a thing had never occurred.

For thousands, even tens of thousands of years, the most she’s ever done is contemplate how to make others suffer and what pain feels like.

Every time she contemplated its nuances, she felt exhilarated, never fearing anything.

The only being capable of instilling genuine fear in Pan Demnim’s heart was that supreme Goddess, known as the Mother of the Divine Race and Forebear of the World—Ominis.

As one of the only two Limit Level divine beings within the Divine Race, aside from the Three Goddesses of Time and Space, and one of the highest Upper-level Gods, Pan Demnim had the privilege of seeing that Mother Goddess a few times.

The way her gaze seemed to look down upon everything as equals in value, simultaneously transcending and indifferent, was the only thing that terrified Pan Demnim.

In front of those eyes, it felt as if her greatest joys turned into trivial tricks, as if her very existence could be erased at any moment, making Pan Demnim flee in panic several times before that Mother Goddess.

Even after her disrespectful behavior, that supreme Goddess seemed completely indifferent, never holding her accountable or deigning to give her a direct look.

This inscrutable transcendence, in some sense, was the most terrifying thing of all.

That, too, was the only negative emotion Pan Demnim disliked.

This kind of fear, even she could not enjoy, it only left her feeling intimidated.

Aside from this, Pan Demnim did not believe there was anything else in this world that she feared.

For this reason, she merely looked at Shane with a cold sneer.

Until...

"I can show you what true human joy is, you know?"

Shane extended his hand to Pan Demnim, placing his palm on her head.

"For example, erasing your memory right here, letting you have a daughter, and live the life of an ordinary mortal, happily in this world, how about that?"

As these words were spoken, the smile froze on Pan Demnim’s face.
