Pausing for a moment as if hesitating whether or not to respond, Zach answered.

"Then...why didn’t they just leave after seeing inside of the vault? I mean, they were here for at least thirty minutes, right?"

Exasperated by Zach’s barrage of questions, Lily just ignored him and walked towards the principal and Liam.

Behind her, Ruby took a look at her smartwatch before sighing and immediately concealing it.

But...one other person moved.

The person, who had been forgotten during the entire battle due to her lack of affiliation to the main cast group or the two recruiters, finally moved.

Astrid, who had been doing nothing but observing the entire time, finally took her first step forward as she walked towards the gap that led outside into the underground space.

Easily scaling the wall with her movement ability, Astrid took one last glance at the vault before lowering himself and crawling through the gap.

Behind her, the principal finally turned away from Ren’s previous spot as she walked towards Lily, Alya, Ruby, Kevin, and Zach.

As those words came out of the principal’s mouth, a small dark-purple magic circle formed under the feet of the two boys.

Not showing any reactions, the boys simply waved at the main cast as their figures began to flicker on and off like a light switch.

Within seconds, the two boys were gone, leaving the principal alone with the main cast.

Seeing the two boys home safe, Seraphina clapped her hands together before turning to Liam, who was the closest to her.

"Care to explain who those guys were?"

Though she didn’t know it on her face due to the circumstances, Seraphina was bewildered when Zeng suddenly appeared.

In fact, she hadn’t even known that Raven and Zeng were in the vault in the first place, which was an oversight on her part.

To be fair to her, the main cast also ignored the boys and focused on the unknown figure on the ground.

Losing her composure, Seraphina simply stared at the remains of the iron sword for a second before lifting her head and looking at Liam.

Forgetting about her previous question, Seraphina sighed before saying.

"Was destroying the sword necessary?"

Making eye contact with the principal, Liam silently nodded his head before turning around.

Attributing Liam’s behavior to him being a teenager, Seraphina turned around and looked at Lily.

"And they didn’t. They complied with our orders and even helped us store the artifacts out of the vault to prevent them from being damaged."

"Up until just now, they seemed to be completely on our side."

After pausing for a moment, as if debating if she should say it or not, Alya added.

"And...even now, they didn’t seem to be our enemies. They didn’t even try to destroy the artifacts and break the seal."
