Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain-Chapter 328:Interlude [2]
Brushing the hair off her face, Seraphina calmly glanced around and assessed the state of the vault.
Seeing Alya about to continue speaking, she raised her hand and said.
"Don’t worry; the artifacts that you all have stored outside and in that tunnel have been secured."
While Seraphina continued to interview Ruby, Alya, and Lily, Kevin and Zach awkwardly stood there, feeling somewhat left out.
After a couple of seconds, Kevin finally got fed up with being a background character and turned to Zach.
"Zach, why the hell are we always the ones fighting? But when it’s time to explain, we’re just standing still awkwardly."
Kevin had voiced that remark simply to get off his chest and not seriously expect an answer, so when Zach responded in an exasperated tone, he stepped back.
"I think we’re what they call all brawn and no brains."
"..."
Immobilized by Zach’s disrespectful remark, Kevin immediately refuted it.
"You know you’re speaking to the number one student in the school. That means I’ve done well in exams, too, you know?"
Pointing at the three girls and the principal, Zach simply looked away and replied.
"Try going over there and saying that to them."
"You know, I might just do that!"
After hearing Zach try to mock his character twice, the prideful Kevin wasn’t just going to stand still.
With his hands in his pocket, Kevin took one step...and then another step.
Pausing, Kevin glanced behind him and immediately made eye contact with Zach, who seemed to be expecting it.
Immediately looking away with a disgruntled expression, Kevin took one more step, now putting him right behind Alya.
The three girls and the principal were in a square-like formation as they talked with one person in each direction, so Kevin had no way to subtly join them.
If he did, the formation would collapse, and all attention would be directed towards him.
Leaning forward and placing his head right above Alya’s shoulder, Kevin whispered. Stay tuned with novelbuddy
"mhm, yep, mhm, I understand. Yeah, that happened to. What abou- oh yeah, that was what I was going to say!"
As Kevin nonsensically nodded his head and added words to act as if he understood the entire conversation, Alya’s posture started to crumble.
"Yep, indeed. 100%, that’s true. Oh, I can’t b-"
Finally reaching her breaking point, Alya got her tippy toes, causing her shoulder to rise and bump straight into the bottom of Kevin’s chin.
"..."
Caught off guard by the sudden hit, Kevin lost his balance and awkwardly fell backward before finally regaining his balance.
Wearing a grim expression, actually resembling the one Liam was currently wearing, Kevin glared at the back of Alya’s head.
However, acting as if nothing had ever happened, Alya simply continued looking at the principal and talking.
Turning back around, Kevin struggled to keep his hand still as Zach looked at him and mouthed, "YOU GOT THIS!!!"
Managing to keep his hand off his sword as he walked back toward Zach, Kevin muttered.
"I swear to g-"
Interrupting Kevin’s mid-sentence, Zach tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to the right.
Following Zach’s finger, Kevin spotted Liam leaning against the vault wall while staring down at his empty sheath.
Unable to hold his anger in anymore, Kevin swiped Zach’s hand off his shoulder and walked towards Liam.
"All of sudden, everyone thinks they’re too cool to talk to me!? Where the hell was this on the first day of school when I was #1!?"
Having nothing better to do, Zach followed after Kevin, stealing glances at Liam, who was now looking up at the ceiling with a somber expression.
Reaching Liam, Kevin immediately threw his hand forward at the space at the wall right next to Liam, attempting to catch him off guard.
"What? Complaining about your loss!?"
Showing no reaction to Kevin’s mocking words, Liam slowly shifted his head downward and replied.
"Only reason I lost was because I had to protect this damn vault...just another obstacle in my way."
To anyone watching the fight, Liam’s words were true as he should have easily defeated Zeng.
However, Kevin, wanting to get a reaction from Liam, chuckled and responded.
"That’s what they all say."
Before Liam could even rebuke Kevin’s statement, Seraphina’s voice sounded from behind the two of them.
"All right, let’s head out of here. I need to patch up the hole before anything else happens."
Knocking Kevin’s hand off the wall, Liam silently shrugged his shoulders and began walking towards the gap.
As the main cast and the principal carefully stepped over the shelves that had fallen because of Zeng, three figures could be seen in the ocean right below the island.

"I’ll drown the three of us right now if you don’t shut the fuck up."
"I don’t drown, Raven, and you’d die the first anyway because you can’t use m-"
"Magic this, magic that, who the hell needs that shit when you have money!?"
Holding each boy under one of his shoulders, Ren easily swam through the ocean and towards the capital.
However, as he peered forward, Ren noticed that the harbor was in complete shambles, looking as if it had just been hit by the tsunami.
In Ren’s hoodie, his black cat, which he had learned was also immune to drowning, suddenly twitched in its sleep.
Zeng, who had been silent up until now, simply nodded his head as he was too exhausted to even speak.
In the end, he was back to normal strength as his demon had once again evoked all of his power.
Within a couple of minutes, three figures could be seen emerging from the water atop a beach that was covered by glass and metal.
Staring at the mess of the beach in front of him, Ren muttered.
"Global warming really is getting bad..."
The two boys, unable to comprehend "Global warming, simply sighed and shrugged off their boss’ words.
Exhausted and unable to take another step, Zeng and Raven simply let their body fell onto the warm sand of the beach.
Looking up at Ren, Raven waved his hand and said.
"I should have known, you’d be fine."
