Transmigrated as an Extra: Awakening of The Ex‐Class'-Chapter 90 : Rechel Blair Campbell part 2
Chapter 90: Chapter 90 : Rechel Blair Campbell part 2
My heart beat inexplicably fast as I watched, one by one, the students enter the classroom. Some laughed nervously, others walked with a confident gait, but all of them carried that twinkle in their eyes we shared: anticipation, excitement. It wasn’t long before my turn finally arrived; I inhaled deeply and entered.
The place was beautifully decorated, almost like something out of a fairy tale. The tall windows gently let in the golden light, bathing the room in a warm, inviting glow. The wooden tables covered with a white tablecloth shone with a luster, and between each table, elegantly dressed young men moved, gracefully carrying trays. They were students from Class 2-A who had chosen the theme of a butler cafe, all wearing dark suits, white gloves, and polished manners. They glided like shadows, smiling with that perfect blend of elegance and gentleness.
My eyes scanned the room, restless, hopeful. They were looking for a figure in the crowd. But I couldn’t see him. He wasn’t there. Cyan wasn’t there.
A pang of disappointment stabbed in my chest. Maybe it wasn’t his turn to answer. Maybe... he just wouldn’t come. I sighed a little wistfully, trying to hide my sinking spirits. Since I was already here, I decided I’d at least have something to eat before leaving. I carefully moved to a secluded table, near a column adorned with fresh roses that seemed to breathe to the beat of classical music. I sat down with a certain resignation. My mind guessed that at least I’d be able to have something nice, I thought, lowering my gaze slightly as I caressed the menu with my fingertips.
"How can I help you, miss?" said a deep, warm, and sensual voice that made me freeze on the spot.
That voice.
That voice I’d heard in my dreams a thousand times, gently enveloping me.
I looked up slowly, almost fearing it was just an illusion... but no. There he was.
Cyan Vesper.
His beautiful blue eyes, as intense as the deepest sea, looked at me with that mixture of surprise and tenderness that made my whole world shudder. His smile was malevolent, seeming to enchant everyone near my table. He wore an impeccable butler’s uniform, with details embroidered in silver thread that sparkled in the light from the mana lamps. The suit fit him perfectly, as if he had been born to wear it.
An involuntary smile touched my lips, small and shy, but inevitable. His presence had dispelled all traces of sadness.
"Oh... it’s you, Princess," Cyan said, surprised but visibly delighted to see me.
"It’s been a while, Brother," I casually replied with a smile too.
He bowed his head slightly, keeping his gaze fixed on mine.
"It’s nice to see you again. What would you like to order?"
"Tea... and cookies, please."
"I’ll bring it right away," he replied in that gentle voice that seemed to envelop me in a hug.
I watched him walk away with elegant steps, the light movement of his stride contrasting with the ceremonial rigidity of his bearing. There was something about him that was not of this world. A kind of enchanting presence.
I couldn’t help but stare at him for a few seconds. The atmosphere of the café, decorated with floating lilies and crystals suspended in the air as if ignoring gravity, felt like an extension of that magical moment. The soft murmur of the music, the delicate laughter, everything seemed unreal.
I leaned on the table, touching the small vase with live flowers that lit up in faint flashes. I have to take a picture at the stand before I leave, I suddenly thought. I couldn’t let the memory of Cyan dressed as a butler fade with the day. I wanted to capture this moment, this corner of my heart beating strongly, Cyan’s reflection in my eyes, the golden light on our skin.

It wasn’t long before Cyan returned with my order. The tea seemed perfectly brewed, with fragrant steam rising in fine spirals, as if imbued with manna. The plate of biscuits, golden and crisp, gave off a sweet aroma that almost subconsciously made me smile. The simplicity of the snack, however, had something unique about it; each bite seemed to bring something special, almost as if it were imbued with energy, almost heavenly. I savored every moment, every small sigh of contentment that came from my hot tea and honey biscuits.
But it wasn’t just the food that embraced me in that moment. It was the atmosphere itself: the soft, beautiful lights dancing across the stage, the murmur of other guests, the muffled laughter of couples at nearby tables. It all seemed out of this world.
After finishing my snack, I got up with the intention of taking something I’d been waiting for all day: a photo. I knew I couldn’t leave without taking a tangible memory of this magical encounter, a moment that already felt like a dream.
I walked toward the photography booth, a corner of the café decorated with silver-threaded curtains and small, gently fluttering banners. In the center, a mass beautifully adorned with mirrors. It was as if time itself dissolved within that space.
In front of me was a small screen with numbers representing the most eligible butlers for the photo shoot. Each number corresponded to a different butler who, when selected, would immediately move and take a photo with you. I chose number four, which was marked with elegant gold lettering.
The staff, in this case, were all female students from Class 2-A, acting as attendants, dressed neatly in aprons. Sometimes they stood in corners, and other times, as they called the butlers, as in this case, they called Cyan. Within seconds, I saw Cyan walking toward me with that look that exuded elegance; his bearing was truly impeccable. He was so incredibly handsome, his aura radiating beauty, so much so that I remained silent for a few seconds, observing his presence as if he were something unreal.
When he finally reached me, he bowed his head slightly and offered me a smile that could melt any lady’s heart.
"Ready for the photo, princess?" His voice was warmer than ever.
I took the three silver coins I had prepared from my pockets and left them on the table with a small metallic clink. Two additional coins as a fee for him to photograph me himself. Cyan took the coins with infinite grace, almost as if they were an extension of himself. Without losing his smile, he offered me his arm, inviting me to approach the mirror that would serve as our background.
"Let’s make this photo perfect, what do you think?" "He said with a wink, which made my heart beat faster than it already was.
We positioned ourselves very close in front of the mirror, and the café photographer approached, ready to capture the moment. The atmosphere became a little unbearable; I could almost feel the lights intensifying and the air itself taking on a golden hue. Cyan took my hand, a delicate but firm gesture, and in that instant, time seemed to slow down. The flash shone, and for a brief moment, everything around us disappeared, leaving only that image suspended in the air. It wasn’t just a photograph; it was an eternal spell, a capture of a feeling that floated between us, almost palpable.
After the session, Cyan quickly left, perhaps out of fear. The place was packed with customers, and the line of tables was relentless. Café food had its rules.
However, I stood there, staring at the reflection in the photo taken of us. The contours of the image seemed to glow subtly. But what really made my heart race again was the small inscription on the back of the photo.
In almost perfect, beautiful handwriting that seemed to be written with a crow’s feather, Cyan had left a message:
"There’s still much to cook for, Princess. We’ll see you somewhere else, another time."
Although her simple words seemed to convey so much truth, my heart began to beat wildly, as if those words had taken on a life of their own inside me. The echo of her voice resonated, and I couldn’t help but smile, imagining that, somewhere in the future, our lives were on the same wavelength.
I kept the photo carefully, as if it were the most precious treasure in the world; it was priceless. Just looking at the photo, I could feel her presence in the air, as if she were by my side, even after she had left to attend to other clients. The café was still full of laughter and conversation, but I was in another world. I was in my own world, thinking about the wonder of the moment that only he and I could share, even if it was for a brief moment. My gaze remained lost in that photo resting in my hands.
I had wanted to talk more with Cyan but it was understandable that he was very busy, I was not disappointed I had managed to see Cyan and even take a picture, maybe later during his break we could go out for a while, but for now it’s time to wait.
