A white mid-sized quadcopter drone equipped with four rotors and a built-in mini camera appeared on the ground, along with a controller screen and a manual. There were also five magic scrolls next to it.
Eren picked up the controller and tossed the instruction manual into the trash– I mean his storage, not bothering to read it.
Switching the device and controller on, he began maneuvering it as the drone lifted into the air in front of him.
Eren moved the controller stick to test the drone, trying to get familiar with it. After about half a minute of playing around, he landed the drone back on the ground and picked up the magic scrolls.

He then powered the drone on again, making the four rotors spin like blades, and threw all the magic scrolls onto it.
Like a grass trimmer, the spinning rotors shredded the scrolls into pieces—until the entire drone began to glow.
–Shreds–Shreds–Shreds–Shreds!
This was a trick he had learned from the System. Apparently, in this world, people could use enhancement magic scrolls not only to buff themselves, but also their weapons. If a person tore a scroll, their body would be enhanced. But if they slashed it with a weapon, the weapon would gain the buff instead.
Of course, not all scrolls worked on objects. For example, you couldn’t give mana enhancement to a regular sword because it had no mana. Only enhancements related to physical attributes—like endurance, durability, sharpness, and so on—would work. However, the drone had a mana-reactor core, so it qualified.
After the drone absorbed all the buffs, it began to disappear from Eren’s view—or more accurately, it started camouflaging with the surroundings.
He then flew it high into the air and switched on the controller’s screen, allowing him to view the area from above through the drone’s camera.

It turned out that before entering the forest with the knights, Eren had asked Useless to search the System shop for a high-quality flying or magic drone that could help scout the area. He had even told the System to pick the most expensive one, which Useless did without hesitation—after all, they were both rich in System Points. He also bought several enhancement scrolls to upgrade the drone.
The reason Eren did this was so he can spy on the girls who are staying in the camp, from the knights and the servants, who are grouped together in a different part in the camp, which they also have their own bat—No not really.
He only bought it to help him locate the Aberration Dungeon by scanning the forest area. That was why he decided to tag along with the elite knights during their training, and Nothing more.
If he needs to see some uncensored things, he can just buy it from the System’s Shop

Anyway, Eren had planned to just stay inside his tent, lazily lying in bed while using the drone to explore the forest through the camera feed. Unfortunately, the drone had a limited control range, so Eren had to stay relatively close to it.
As he controlled the drone from above, taking pictures and recording footage of the forest, Kristoff hadn’t noticed a thing. He was still standing next to Eren’s illusion clone, unaware that anything was amiss.
.....
Not long after, Leon’s team finished subjugating the wolf monsters and began collecting the magic gems.
Leon clenched his fists a few times to test his strength. He could feel he was close to leveling up, but he needed to check his status first.
–Rustle!
Looking back, he saw Kristoff emerging from the hidden bushes, with the young master following behind. Leon then noticed Eren holding a familiar black book as he was reading it, before looking over at him.
"Is it over?" Eren asked, glancing at the spots where the monsters had disappeared into ashes.
"Yes, we’re done," Leon responded as his team finished gathering the magic gems and drop items.
"Then let’s continue exploring."
Eren began walking forward, then turned to look back at the others, waiting for them to take the lead.
Kristoff asked curiously, "Young master, are you planning to join the next fight?"
But Eren shook his head. "No. I’m just here to observe the knights today, so there’s no need to worry. Just focus on your training," he said with a smile.
The others were a little confused by the young master’s response. Wasn’t this trip originally supposed to be part of his training? Still, none of the knights dared question his decision—it wasn’t their place. Their job was to follow orders, while Kristoff and Leon kept close to Eren for his protection.
"Alright. Then let’s keep moving," Leon said, giving Eren a nod before taking the lead with his team. Kristoff and Eren followed from behind.
Although Leon felt a little suspicion and confused about Eren’s actions, he didn’t dwell on it too much.
–Hnnnnnnn~
Unbeknownst to them, 350 feet above their heads, a stealth-invisible drone hovered silently, scouting the forest without anyone noticing.
....
....
As time passed and afternoon came, Leon’s team returned to the camp after hunting around 43 monsters and gathering herbs. Since most of them were former adventurers like Leon, they understood the value of herbs and how to sell them for extra coin. Even though they were knights now, they still made use of their experience and knowledge from their days as adventurers and explorers.
Unfortunately, the forest had no fruits to offer. All the trees looked dry and barren—no fruits. That’s why the place was called the Dry Forest.
When Team F came back, Eren said his goodbyes and headed to his tent to take a bath, with Kristoff silently escorting him. Meanwhile, Leon made his way to the commander’s tent to report.
....
Inside the Commander’s Tent
Commander Gareth was seated behind his small desk, cluttered with paper reports, books, and scribbled notes. He was writing something down while listening to Leon’s report.
"So, how was it?" the commander asked, setting down his pen and looking up at Leon, who stood at attention before him.
Leon began to recount everything that had happened during their venture into the forest, including the presence of the young master.
When he finished, Commander Gareth’s eyes widened in surprise. "He didn’t join you in the fight?"
Leon shook his head. "No, sir. The young master stayed back with Kristoff, watching the whole time while my team handled the monsters."
"He said he just wanted to observe us," Leon continued, "and study how we fight and how the monsters react. But..."
He paused, frowning with a complicated look on his face.
"But?" the commander pressed.
"I don’t think the young master was observing us at all," Leon said finally. "He was completely focused on reading his book. He didn’t speak a word to anyone after we encountered the first wolf monster. We all noticed it—he walked with us, yes, but he kept his eyes on that book the whole time, even when we were in combat."
The commander rubbed his chin, deep in thought, trying to figure out what the young master was thinking or planning. After all, the boy hadn’t shown up for the past five days—then suddenly appeared this morning claiming he wanted to train with the knights.
Closing his eyes, Gareth sighed and decided to let it go for now. "It’s fine. Maybe the young master isn’t ready yet... or still tired."
"Anything else?"
Leon seemed to remember something. "Yes. The young master mentioned he’ll be joining the knight’s training tomorrow—but with a different team."
Gareth’s eyes widened again in surprise, clearly not expecting that. But after a moment of consideration, he nodded slowly.
"Okay."
....
Meanwhile, inside a tent next to Eren’s
Eren lay back in a small bathtub, letting the warm water soak his body. He cracked his neck stiffly, sore from looking down at the controller screen all day.
Glancing at the floating system panel in front of him, he asked with his usual lazy half-lidded eyes, "Useless, how much did the drone manage to scan?"
Useless responded instantly.
[About 3.78% of the forest map.]
Eren’s eyes turned dull and blank as he stared at the number.
The drone he used had a scan radius of around 2 kilometers. From morning until afternoon, he had spent over seven hours walking through the forest with the knights, all while cloaking himself in illusion magic to keep the drone’s controller hidden. And yet, in all that time, he had only managed to scan about 11.7 kilometers of the forest.
According to the system, the Dry Forest was approximately 310 square kilometers. At this rate, it would take him somewhere between 26 to 34 days to find the dungeon—depending on how lucky he got.
In the game Valoria Legends, the location of the Aberration Dungeon was never clearly mentioned. After the protagonist cleared it, the dungeon vanished, and can’t be found again. The protagonist didn’t even realize he was inside a dungeon until he reached the middle floors. It was only after escaping that he learned it had been hidden in the Dry Forest.
Normally, when Eren completes conquering a dungeon in the game, that dungeon can be accessed again, but will gives no rewards. But it only happens for pacific dungeons.
