The day passed in the blink of an eye.

Arin spent the rest of the day making the Water Pillar Spell and practicing with his Blood Energy.

Though, he also went out a bit and met Riya, who told him that she had a spar with Fang.

As expected, Riya won the spar, though Fang's reason for requesting Riya to spar with her was still unclear.

Now, it was a new day, and everyone in the village was already awake and going about their daily activities.

But it was a different case for the students in this Kingdom.

Today was the day they would leave their families and be taken to the different cities they were assigned to.

As for Alex, he didn't even have any family to visit, so he had been in the castle since yesterday.

Even if he had a family to visit, he would have done so reluctantly.

He had been in the castle since yesterday. More precisely, the third Princess's room... Elena.

Inside a big, spacious room, a king-sized bed was present, occupied by two figures.

"Alex... After what happened last night, you have no reason to not get married to me," Elena said, her cheeks red.

Her blonde hair was disheveled, and her body was hidden by the blanket.

Alex, whose body was also under the blanket, smiled as he stared at Elena.

"Don't worry, Elena... Once all this is over, I'll get married to you."

He added, "but for now, your father shouldn't know that we've had sex."

Elena pouted. "Hmph... Alright, but I really don't care. He won't do anything to you."

Alex's gaze suddenly hardened, startling Elena a bit.

"You heard me... He shouldn't know."

Elena instinctively nodded, still quite shocked from Alex's sudden change of demeanor.

After talking with Elena some more, Alex freshened up and instantly left the castle.

The King already knew he was in the castle... He just didn't know that he 'slept' in his daughter's room.

Immediately after leaving the castle, Alex walked towards the carriage that was waiting for him on the other side of the street.

He instantly reached the carriage and entered it.

It was a levitating carriage, so there was no need for a driver or anything.

Inside the carriage, Alex was with someone else.

"How are you doing, my love?"

Alex turned to look at the brown-haired girl beside him with a smile before replying, "I'm fine, Edith."

"I'm glad that the King accepted my proposal and allowed you to accompany me," he added.

Before Edith could even say anything, Alex suddenly leaned forward, kissing her passionately.

After a few seconds, he leaned back.

Edith grinned before speaking:

"I have good news. I was able to track Tessa's location..."

At the mention of Tessa, Alex instantly squinted his eyes.

"Good," he said. "I don't care what method you use, bring her to me, and as promised, I'll get married to you."

A smirk instantly formed on Edith's face. "I believe you. Even though I'm a bit hurt that I'll be sharing that dog with you, I'll still bring her... For your sake."

Alex smiled. "That's more like it..."

Unknowingly to Arin and Tessa, two powerful individuals were heading for them.

*********

"Ah... I can feel it. In about two days, the rain will begin," Arin said to himself as he exited the building, adjusting his mask.

Even though it was morning, the sky was gloomy.

Suddenly, Arin squinted his eyes.

He looked in the direction of the forest.

"What if...?"

And then...

"EVERYONE! ENTER YOUR HOMES NOW!"

A loud voice was heard, and instantly, the villagers understood. After all, this wasn't the first time they were hearing these exact words.

The villagers began hurrying, gathering their things, and entering their houses.

Tessa, Riya, Leon, and Ethan instantly came outside, joining Arin.

"What the hell is going on?" Ethan asked hurriedly.

"It's a Beast Tide... It came sooner than expected," Arin said.

Even before that shout was heard, he could already sense it.

"Shit..." Leon muttered.

Without wasting a single second, Leon and Ethan rushed back into their rooms to get their weapons, while Arin, Riya, and Tessa began walking towards the meeting room.

"We have to get to Fang now," Riya said, her expression hidden beneath her mask.

Thankfully, they could already see Fang and about 60 individuals gathering in front of the village.

They were all wearing armour and holding weapons.

By this time, the villagers had already entered their houses.

Arin and the others quickly rushed towards Fang, ready to join the battle.

'I'm honestly excited for this,' Arin thought. 'Stronger Beasts, huh?'

The fact that stronger Beasts would be present wasn't the only thing that was making Arin excited.

It had been a while since he fought Beasts, so the thrill was present.

Leon and Ethan had already joined them, and they were now close to Fang and the other 60 individuals.

Leon was in his first transformation.

His hair was now black and long, and his excess fat was no longer present.

In this form, he could use his Dark Energy well and boost his physical capabilities.

Fang, who was standing in front of the gate, looked back.

As soon as she saw Arin and the others, a small smile formed on her face.

"Alright! Take formation!" Fang roared.

Instantly, the more than 60 soldiers of the village began moving.

They all marched out of the village, and then, some of them jumped up, landing on top of the wall.

These were the ones who specialized in attacking from a long distance.

The remaining soldiers below began spreading out, forming some sort of circle.

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

The ground trembled as the sound of numerous Beasts rushing forward was heard.

Some of the soldiers began trembling, though it was obvious that they were new recruits.

This wasn't the first time the others were hearing this sound, so they were quite used to it.

They all stood in front of the forest.

No one said anything. Apart from the approaching Beasts, there wasn't any other sound.

Five... Four... Three... Two... One...

And then...

"Attack!"

"YEAHHHHHH!!!!"

The soldiers instantly rushed forward towards the now visible Beasts.

Because of their circle-like formation, the Beasts were in the middle, which meant that they surrounded the Beasts, trapping them in the middle.

This would make their attacks easier and more guaranteed to hit.

Arin grinned.

He didn't even waste a single second. Instantly, he attacked the first Beast he set his eyes on.

He gripped the Star Rank sword... The sword he got as a reward from the King.

WHOOSH!

His body was like a blur as he dashed towards the Bear in front of him.

The Bear roared and also rushed towards Arin.

But before the Bear knew it, Arin had disappeared.

"...."

"Over here!"

Arin was so fast that the Bear didn't even know that Arin was beside it already.

But well, it couldn't even turn.

With a flash, its head was already flying in the air.

Arin stood as he swung the sword, getting rid of the blood.

"Hmm... Stronger Beasts? Maybe I just haven't seen the strong ones yet..."

With that, Arin continued dashing through the forest, killing different Beasts with a single strike.

At one point, some of the soldiers stood, watching him with dropped jaws as he weaved through the Beasts.

Not once did he even use Magic.

His enhanced physical capabilities as a Vampire alone were formidable.

Tessa, Riya, Ethan, and Leon weren't slacking off either.

There were sounds coming from different corners, and Tessa kept absorbing them, boosting her physical capabilities.

But apart from that, as a Vampire, even though her Blood Energy was hidden, she still had the enhanced senses and physical capabilities that the race brought.

This made it possible for her to overwhelm the Beasts.

Like Arin, she killed Beasts with a single strike.

Ethan's Warrior techniques were also bone-crushing.

With each strike of his hammer, a Beast would be smashed to pulp.

Leon was pretty much dancing around the battlefield, slicing Beasts with his axe.

His Dark Energy boosted his physical capabilities.

He was just too strong and fast for them to even land any hit on him.

As for Riya, when Arin paused to look around, he didn't even see her.

All he saw were slashes of Water beheading Beasts rapidly and effortlessly.

Arin just shrugged as he continued the massacre.

Now, a gorilla was standing in front of him.

It was a Grade 3 Star Rank Beast.

It looked like a normal adult gorilla on Earth, but this one's arms were abnormally huge.

There was no way its fists wouldn't smash a rock into bits.

"RAGHHHHHHH!"

The gorilla roared as it raised its hands and began hitting its chest as if showing off.

Arin smirked. "You sure are confident..."

BOOM!

Arin kicked off the ground, dashing towards the gorilla with immense speed.

The gorilla roared again before raising its left hand.

WHOOSH!

Ripples formed in the air as the gorilla brought its hand down with immense force towards Arin.

Arin instantly diverted, dashing towards the right, and then...

BOOM!

The gorilla's left hand landed where Arin had been, causing debris to fly around.

A shockwave was instantly released from the impact.

Arin reached the back of the gorilla and instantly swung his sword, striking the back of the gorilla's left knee.

A gash instantly appeared, and the gorilla roared in pain.

It instantly went down on one knee, but Arin had already moved again.

WHOOSH!

With a great leap, he appeared in the air above the gorilla.

And then...

WHOOSH! SLASH!

With a spin, he descended with his sword, instantly slicing the gorilla's neck.

"Phew..."

The gorilla was dead.

But suddenly...

"Agh... What the hel-"

Before Arin could even finish talking, he collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
