WHOOSH!

Fang dashed forward, heading towards the Beast in front of her.

If one looked closely, they would notice that her feet weren't touching the ground.

It was as if she was running on air.

"AGH!"

With a grunt, she instantly reached the snake-like Beast and swung her sword.

Blood instantly spluttered out as its head was removed.

Fang paused for some seconds as she removed the strands of hair that were stuck to her sweaty face.

She looked around the forest, and she could see that her soldiers were actually dominating.

Though, she knew the reason.

"The numbers of the Beasts reduced drastically," Fang muttered, her eyes darting around as if she was looking for someone. "It must be because of them."

She could see Ethan, Leon, and Tessa killing Beasts with a single strike.

Finally, she saw Arin, but...

"... What...?"

She glanced around.

'Hmm, the Beasts aren't that much anymore. The other soldiers can take care of them.'

With that, she dashed towards Arin, ignoring the other Beasts.

WHOOSH!

She instantly leaped up, and her body soared in the air as if she was the wind itself.

With a twist, she quickly descended, landing directly in front of Arin who was on the ground, unconscious.

She knelt on one knee, her eyes scrutinizing him.

Her gaze shifted to the right for a second.

"Hmm, a Grade 3 Star Rank gorilla..."

She shook her head. "From the strength he displayed, I'm not sure this Beast would be able to harm him severely."

The fact that the gorilla was dead was proof of that, and even while staring at Arin, she didn't see any wound or even blood.

"So... Why is he unconscious...?"

Fang furrowed her brows.

She was curious about why he was unconscious, but that wasn't the only thing she was curious about.

'His breathing is steady, so I'm sure he's safe even though he's unconscious,' Fang thought.

'This is my chance...'

Fang slowly began stretching out her right hand towards Arin's face.

She would be able to see what he looked like.

Closer.... Closer... Closer.

Her hand kept inching closer to Arin's face, and finally...

She touched the mask. Her fingers brushed against its rough surface.

Now, she just had to remove it.

But just as she was about to do that...

WHOOSH!

WHOOSH!

WHOOSH

SHING!

"Don't move..."

Fang heard a low voice... Really low. But it was as if the person spoke directly into her ears.

Though, she recognized the voice.

Riya, Ethan, Leon, and Tessa were standing behind Fang, their weapons placed directly on her neck.

Fang could feel the coldness of steel on her neck, almost making her shiver slightly.

'... What the hell...?' she thought.

She never expected this.

And as for Riya's words, she could feel it...

If she moved even a little bit, her head would be separated from her neck.

'Such protection...' Fang thought. 'Incredible!'

She was mesmerized by it.

She didn't even know when a smile formed on her face.

"Hahaha... Hahaha."

Fang began laughing, her shoulders going up and down.

She continued laughing for a few more seconds before she raised her hands as if saying that she meant no harm.

Seeing this, Riya slowly began moving the Water Spike she was holding backwards.

Though, she was still at alert.

Ethan also moved his Hammer backwards and Leon did the same with his axe.

Tessa's sword lingered on Fang's neck for a few seconds but she eventually moved it backwards.

Sensing this, Fang stood up, her hands still raised while Tessa knelt down beside Arin, tapping his face rapidly.

"I meant no harm... I just saw him unconscious and wanted to see how he looked like," Fang said, a smile playing on her lips.

"I know," Riya said shortly, the Water Spike disappearing.

Ethan, Leon and Riya all saw when Arin fell on the ground unconscious. As for Tessa, she didn't see it, she sensed it.

With her connection with Arin, she was able to sense that something was wrong with him.

Though, Fang got to him before all of them, and was about to remove his mask.

Ethan didn't know what Arin's face looked like, but he knew that Arin was yet to show Fang his face, and Ethan felt like if Fang saw his face now, it could jeopardize whatever plans Arin had.

Because of this, he rushed towards them.

Riya, Leon, and Tessa knew that Arin's mask couldn't be removed by anyone, so they weren't worried that Fang would see his face.

Instead, they felt like Fang wanted to harm Arin, and because of that, they wasted no time.

Leon didn't even hesitate for a second.

"He was already unconscious before I even saw him," Fang said.

"Yeah, maybe he needs to rest," Leon said, though he knew that Arin didn't need rest.

This made him, Ethan, Riya and Tessa even more curious about why Arin was unconscious.

"Alright," Fang said as she began walking towards her soldiers who were killing the last few Beasts remaining.

As soon as she walked forward a bit, she suddenly stopped and turned back to look at Riya and the others with a smile.

"You know, the way you guys are so concerned about me removing his mask... It's making me even more curious," she said.

She suddenly laughed as she added, "but don't worry, we're good."

With that, she continued walking.

Riya sighed. "She has every right to be curious and suspicious."

"I agree," Ethan said.

Leon nodded. "Let's get Chaos out of here..."

He had not even finished talking before Tessa carried him.

Her physical capabilities were enhanced, so she had no issues carrying Arin princess style.

Ethan stared at her weirdly. "At least, carry him on your shoulder or something..."

Though, he was more bothered by the fact that she could even carry him in the first place.

He just felt like maybe it was because of her Spell that let her strengthen herself with absorbed sound.

"Hmph, how I carry him doesn't matter now," Tessa spoke for the first time since they arrived beside Arin.

With that, they all began walking forward.

The battle had already ended. All the Beasts had been killed and the soldiers were all cheering.

Riya knew that if they walked past, the soldiers would stop them with worried expressions and ask them what happened to Chaos, after all, they all knew that Arin and his team helped them so much, so they would certainly be worried.

"That would be such a hassle..." Riya muttered.

But before she could tell the others, Leon had already realized this, and done the needful.

Leon stretched out his right hand, and a black portal emerged in front of them.

Leon was still in his first transformation, so he was able to use his Dark Energy.

Ethan wasn't surprised to see this because Leon had already told him about his race

From the moment Ethan joined the team, him and Leon quickly became friends, and because Leon knew that Ethan was now part of their team, he felt comfortable telling Ethan about his race.

Ethan was quite surprised, but he wasn't too shocked, after all, the leader of the team was a Vampire.

And when he heard about Leon's situation before he changed his race, he understood why it was needed.

At the end, it was all to strengthen Leon.

This even made Ethan's impression of Chaos better than before.

They all quickly entered the portal, and disappeared.

Immediately they disappeared, the soldiers who were cheering began looking for them to thank them for their great help.

Meanwhile, inside the city, just beside the building where their rooms were located, a black portal appeared, and five figures emerged from it before it disappeared.

"Ah, if we didn't leave, we would have been swarmed with questions," Riya said.

"Yeah. I thought so too," Ethan said.

They all quickly entered the building, climbed the stairs, and arrived in Arin's room.

Riya could no longer hide her worried expression. 'Arin... What is happening...?'

********

"Now, what do we have here?"

Arin raised a brow as he observed his surroundings.

He was currently standing in a wasteland.

There was no greenery, no rock.

Nothing.

Just hard ground.

"The sky..."

The sky was... Red.

Red clouds were in the sky, and red lightning could be seen flashing in the clouds.

"Ah... Creepy place, for real," Arin said to himself, laughing.

Though, he was just distracting himself from the crazy itch he was feeling on his back.

But just as he was about to take a step forward...

WHOOSH!

Red lines suddenly began forming in front of him. It also formed behind him and on his left and right side.

The lines were pulsating and moving like veins, moving forward rapidly.

A bright flash of red light suddenly emerged from his back, moving in front of him.

The light brightened and finally, after a few seconds, it died down.

Arin's eyes were fixated on the red light, and as it died down, it finally revealed what it was hiding.

Arin's eyes shone as his body shivered.

"You've finally decided to show yourself, huh...?"
