Chapter 23: Classification of Classes

"Reached the limits in one aspect...hmmm." Dawn fell deep into thought. The most likely aspect that he had reached the limits of Iron rank was Soul Power.

While the rest of his stats hadn't reached the limits of Iron rank, they weren't far off either.

Dawn, however, was confused by one thing: there was no mention of such limits in the legend of Brain Summersault. His books contained vast knowledge, but not even once was there mention of such a thing.

He suddenly felt as if he had found a huge conspiracy. He couldn't rashly rank up. First, he had to gather as much information as possible.

What was this limit, and why would his future limitations be limited if he rashly ranked up?

"Information..." Just as he was thinking about gathering it, his eyes landed on the man and woman duo.

First, let's find out why they are looking for him. However, before that, he had to confirm if there were any Nether Wraiths nearby. He glanced at the ethereal map and noticed a few red dots; however, he ignored them as they weren't near him.

Noticing Dawn's gaze filled with curiosity landing in their direction, the duo let out a sigh of relief and calmly introduced themselves.

"Greetings, Red-Caped Demon! We from the Unity Awakeners Alliance would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for saving our lives."

The long-bearded man performed an elaborate bow and spoke in a solemn voice. The woman also mimicked the man's actions, but her bows lacked finesse and looked slightly awkward, showing her inexperience.

Dawn raised an eyebrow at the introduction; however, in the next moment, he shook his head. His style of killing the Nether Wraiths had made him slightly notorious, and some had even started to call him the Red-Caped Demon.

He had frowned when he first came to know about his nickname, but as time passed, he grew indifferent.

It didn't matter what these people called him, after all; the name didn't affect him in any way.

"Unity Awakeners Alliance..." He had heard a lot about this organization in the past year.

The long-bearded man noticed the look of recognition behind Dawn's eyes and immediately took the opportunity to introduce himself.

"Respected sir, how rude of us not to introduce ourselves."

"This fine lady here goes by the name of Mira Silverfire. She is also an important asset to our alliance with an amazing 'B' grade class."

"As for myself, this humble one goes by the name of Nerom, an individual with 'C' grade class."

Dawn heard their introduction and frowned. After hearing about the legend of Brain Summersault, he considered himself knowledgeable, but now his belief was challenged repeatedly by these two individuals. He had never heard about the classification of class.

Nerom noticed the look of confusion in Dawn's eyes and immediately smiled. "This class classification is something recently developed, so as a result, it's not as popular...."

Suddenly Nerom stopped as he noticed Mira beside him wanted to add something.

"Yeah, despite the fact that it's not popular, the classification allows us to gauge an individual's potential to grow in the future."

Hearing their explanation, the confusion in Dawn's mind lessened. No wonder—after all, Brain Summersault was an oldie who knew how long ago he had lived.

Here's my chance! Nerom thought and smiled once more. He had been racking his brain trying to find an opportunity to quickly bridge the strangeness with Dawn. This topic was a heaven-sent opportunity, and he had no intention of wasting it.

Immediately, Nerom cleared his throat and explained about the class classification in detail.

From time to time, Mira, the reserved lady, would chime in and fill the crucial gaps left behind in Nerom's explanations.

Dawn noticed this and smiled strangely. Given how experienced Nerom looked, how could he make such silly mistakes? He was purposefully doing it.

Although he understood the situation, he had no intention of exposing the guy.

From time to time, he would nod and even ask questions which pointed at the critical points of the classification, such as how they were classified.

Nerom would enthusiastically clear all of Dawn's doubts without delay, as this was what he wanted all along.

After a discussion which lasted for some time, Dawn got a clear understanding of the class.

"What a wonderful classification method," Dawn exclaimed with sincere admiration in his eyes.

This method was indeed novel. It classified all the classes in existence based on the number of skills Awakeners got when they first awakened.

'C' grade class would generally give a single skill; in most cases, it would be a skill with no use on the battlefield at all, but in some cases, an individual might get something useful, for example, Nerom's "Soul Cleaving Strike."

And as for B-grade class, in almost every case, an awakener would get a lethal skill which allowed them to quickly grow stronger.

If seen from this angle, there was not much difference between a 'C' grade class and 'B.'

"However, this theory fails when it comes to my class..." Dawn muttered in a voice that no one was able to hear, as when he first awakened his class, he got no skill, but now... the situation was different.

So the classification wasn't as foolproof as he had earlier thought.

These thoughts remained in his head, but he didn't let them show on his face.

Seeing the opportunity, Nerom finally decided to reveal his intentions.

"Now as to why we were looking for you, it is our leader who hopes to meet you as soon as possible."

After saying these words, Nerom looked at Dawn, who had fallen silent.

"Meeting, huh!" He could somewhat guess why the leader of Unity Awakeners Alliance wanted to meet him.

According to the rumors, the leader was obsessed with finding an exit out of this place, and in order to do so, she had crossed paths with the Nether Wraiths King and was brutally defeated; it was only with the help of a unique treasure that the leader had managed to escape.

Now that he needed to push all of his stats to their limits, and from the current situation, there was no way he could push all of his stats to their extreme in the Nether Wraiths colony.

After giving it some thought, Dawn decided to meet the leader of Unity Awakeners Alliance.
