Chapter 127: Jealous much

Qie Xieling had no idea he was being designed by his father’s disgruntled former employee. He was busy showing off the lunchbox and flask on the table accidentally on purpose.

People had deliberately left the space next to Qie Xieling for Jinjing. That was to say the entire department was shipping them.

Jinjing walked into the lecture hall breathing heavily from all the running since she was late. She looked so pretty today like a fairy. Coupled with her hairdo she looked so cute turning the heads of the boys in the lecture hall.

Qie Xieling was one of the few guys who didn’t pay attention. It was only after sneezing did he notice someone sitting next to him. It was probably her perfume that made him sneeze but to spare her feelings he didn’t get up to change seats.

She put her bag on the side and smiled at him only for her smile to freeze when she saw what obviously looked like a love bento on the table. Her excitement quickly turned into jealousy. Who in this department didn’t know that Qie Xieling never brought a lunchbox? He would always buy food because he couldn’t cook.

"What?" asked Qie Xieling and she snapped back to reality realising she had been staring for far too long. She gathered her courage to ask him about the lunchbox, hoping that her assumptions were wrong.

"Did someone... bring it for you? Like, a girl?" Her voice quivered as she asked the question. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Qie Xieling ate the last bite of his scallion egg pancake as he chuckled softly. Shaking his head he said, "No, it’s from my guy friend. He made me breakfast this morning."

The relief washed over her as he gave her a warm smile. But at the same time, she felt something different. The smile he gave her had never been directed at her before, and she couldn’t help but feel something stir inside.

She didn’t understand what she was feeling, but she knew she didn’t like it. Jinjing quickly shook it off, focusing on the professor as the lecture began. Maybe the breakfast was from Bo Ailun.

While the professor wasn’t looking Qie Xieling took out his cell phone and uploaded a couple of pictures with the caption ’jealous much?’. It was obvious he was showing off.

Bo Ailun who was paying attention in class two buildings over took out his cell phone and saw him bragging. Not only was there a picture of a half-eaten scallion egg pancake but there was a steaming flask of coffee and a picture of Luo Muchen driving the both of them to campus.

He smiled slightly seeing that they had finally reconciled. He wrote a comment saying ’very jealous... you better buy me lunch to compensate for emotional damages.

Bo Ailun wasn’t the only one looking at his cell phone during class. Lee Ya also pulled out her cell phone and when she saw the pictures Qie Xieling uploaded her heart dropped. She couldn’t believe that Luo Muchen had returned to the country already. After he left her mother and father fought more than usual.

Actually, it was more like her mother threw violent tempers and his father just wouldn’t come back home. It was so unbearable and she strongly believed it was because of that bastard son and his slut of a mother.

After class, she went to find Bo Ailun because if she found him she would inevitably find Qie Xieling. Qie Xieling arrived a little later and he wasn’t alone. Behind him was Jinjing. She wanted to ask him some questions so she volunteered to walk with him.

Qie Xieling couldn’t refuse since it was related to schoolwork. When he got to their hang-out spot he found that there was not only Lee Ya but Bi Yu and another girl he didn’t know.

"Don’t tell me you are all waiting for me? I don’t have time to play with children today," he said taking out cash and giving it to Bo Ailun.

"Here, Dad can’t take you out today. I have plans. Buy yourself a pre-birthday treat," he said to Bo Ailun.

Bo Ailun counted the notes with a gleeful expression. "Where are you rushing to?" asked Jinjing and it was after asking that she realised she had been a little anxious just now and blurted that out. She felt a ferocious heart piercing gaze stabbing into her chest and when she looked up she met Lee Ya’s fiery eyes.

She was a little scared but she didn’t show it on her face. Who here didn’t have a rich family as a backer?

"This one now has a wife at home so, of course, he is excited to go home," joked Bo Ailun and Bi Yu arched her brow in disbelief.

This monk actually had a girlfriend? It had to be a lie, right? "Really gege?" asked Lee Ya and Qie Xieling couldn’t wait to rub salt into the wound.

"Yes, she is probably anxious that I am not home yet hahaha. I should probably buy her a pair of earrings to coax her or something," he said jokingly.

Bo Ailun found this funny so he laughed out loud. The look on Lee Ya and Jinjing’s faces was so constipated it looked funny. But his laughter gradually died down when he saw a familiar figure appear behind Qie Xieling.

"Your wife missed you so much that he came to pick you up," whispered Luo Muchen while sliding his palm on Qie Xieling’s waist with the tip of his nose almost touching Qie Xieling’s ear lobe. Qie Xieling’s back tingled when he felt the warmth from Luo Muchen’s chest.

"Then let’s go and I will spoil you," said Qie Xieling hooking Luo Muchen’s shoulder while playfully ruffling his hair.

"Ai, it was only a matter of time. It’s just so sad that I didn’t get some wedding candy," complained Bo Ailun in a joking manner but Lee Ya didn’t find it funny.

"You are back?" she said secretly gritting her teeth.

Bi Yu who hadn’t seen him in forever was so excited that she grabbed his arm and pulled him away from Qie Xieling as though to hug him.

Luo Muchen however was very quick. He dodged and hid behind Qie Xieling after pulling both of them away. "Won’t you be jealous if others touch me?" he asked being even more brazen than usual. After making up his mind earlier he was ready to act on it and become as shameless as possible.

"Very jealous. Here, have some wedding candy," said Qie Xieling taking out a handful of candy to give to Bo Ailun.
