Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 215 - Two Hundred And Fifteen:He Doesn’t Know Who To Trust Anymore.
With each passing second that Abbadon spent in the dungeon, he was scared. Of course not because of Adrik, but because he didn’t know what was running through his father’s mind.
He did absolutely nothing to deserve this treatment, if anything, the person who should be locked behind bars should be the twins, Aurora and of course Erin, his best friend, but he has come to realize that he’s the scapegoat in all of these.
Maybe if he wasn’t trying to be such an obedient child to his father, then he would be out there knowing what is happening.
He heard happy praises, and cries of victory made towards Adrik and Narika, and ofcourse their son. The new prince that he’s supposed to be serving.
A scoff left his lips at that, the last thing he knew Lucifer would do is to bow to that child, regardless of what position the prophecy had placed him in this kingdom, and the same goes to him too. He would rather die than to serve the child, whatever the fuck it is.
He was still in his thoughts until he heard the gates being opened, and his eyes snapped open as he narrowed his gaze down to see Lucifer entering the dungeon, while coming towards where he was.
"Father." He called with so much glee, he knew that he’s soon going to be a free man and he’s going to make that possible regardless of how embarrassing it was to have been locked up here without any given explanation why.
But he knew his father knew better, whatever it is his father had planned for him to be locked in here, he knew that he’s included in the plan too.
Abbadon watched the way the demon guards let open the cell, before Lucifer strodded in and he wasted no time but to rush towards him.
"Father, I have being waiting for you. I don’t know what i did to deserve this, but i can assure you. I can do better. I will be whatever you want me to be, as long as it makes you happy." Abbadon said, he runned his mouth a lot without seeing the distasteful look on his face, before he shut up and had to take a step back because he couldn’t read his father’s kind right now.
He had never being able to do that, and that’s what scared him a lot. Lucifer did nothing to reply his words, nor give him any assurance that he came here to save him because he was surely here to do the opposite.
Lucifer turned to the side," Leave, you all." He ordered the guards, who wasted no time to leave, leaving him with a scared Abbadon, who didn’t know his fate right now.
His father had not been the one to take it easy on him, he had never gone easy on him just like he treats the others. If anything, he had grown with the idea that he’s programmed not to fail his father, and the thought alone was enough to kill him, than actually seeing it come to pass.
"Did i do do something wrong father? All I have ever done was to make you happy, I didn’t mean to let Adrik awaken. I tried my best to see that..."
Abbadin explained again, since he didn’t know if his words weren’t clear to him the very first time only to be cut by him finally.
"Your best?" Lucifer sneered, it took everything in him not to kill Abbadin right now, and live with the fact that his first son was nothing but a vagabond, that shouldn’t have existed.
That’s what he was, A vagabond!
"Father.." Abbadon lowly, only to he grabbed by his neck by an angry Lucifer and hoisted up in the air as pain surged through this whole body, making him try to get his father’s hands off his throat, but he knew better than to do anything that would make him much more angrier than he was right now, so he let him do anything he wanted.
"Did you possibly think you actually did your best, huh? Tell me, Abbadon? Give me one good reason why you are still very much alive, maybe you would be as good as dead because what the fuck you being alive benefit me?"Lucifer asked him, and the most annoying thing about it was that he had nothing to say.
He had nothing to say because he didn’t knew what he did, he did not know what exactly he had done to serve everything that he was doing to him.
Adrik and Dafan were out there, walking on their two feets without being restricted like some criminal, and he’s the one who was locked behind bars, and treated like trash.
At this point, Abbadon didn’t know if he actually regarded him as his son, because what the hell was supposed to be the meaning of all these?
"Well, maybe if you had actually given me the passcode to the secret wall, I would have ensured that they wouldn’t have easily broken in and taken away the life forces, ahh!" He screamed in agony when he tightened his hands around his throat.
"So,You blame me? You insolent pig!!" Lucifer roared, before flinging him to the wall, that cracked and he wasted no time for him to be up on his two feets before dragging him up again.
Lucifer had other reasons for coming here, one being to punish him for being so stupid to have let his brothers and sister to trick him, when he was put in charge after he has left to bring in Narika and Ares.
He was angry, and also adding Erin’s betrayal to help his children instead of him, his friend and his warning about Lucuis, got him in a foul mood.
He didn’t know who to trust anymore, but he knew that Abbadon undying loyalty is towards him, but his stupidity was one reason why Adrik was favored instead of him, even between his siblings. Everyone loathed him.
"Father, I’m sorry. Please." Abbadon begged, he wanted the pain to be over, his head felt like it was going to burst open anytime soon if doesn’t have mercy on him and let him go."I will do anything, just make the pain stop."
Gladly, he was lucky that there’s no guard here to watch him being humiliated, although if there was one he would have killed him after watching this.
Lucifer watched the way the light in his eyes was slowly fading, his inner demon urging him on to kill him. To put him out of his misery, until he fought against that by pushing Abbadon back and he fell to the ground, coughing for air as he moved away from him.
He let out a frustrated grunt, because this wasn’t how he planned things. It would have been much better to break Narika, using her son, so that he could train the little pup to be what he was supposed to be.
But he would have to overlook all that, since the mistake has been made. The right thing to do is to look ahead and plan more against his enemy’s.
But the biggest question is who are his enemies?
Lucuis?
Erin?
He might have let Erin walk away, but that was because no matter how angry he was to him. He would always come through for him just like he did by telling him about Lucius.
It’s only left for him to do the needful, by tracking his steps with him and putting him to test to know how trustworthy he was.
But he was really angry, especially towards the fact that he was slacking. He was supposed to be a king, a feared one. A powerful ruler and not one to he led by his subjects.
All he needed right now was to leave, and fall in bed with Marilyn, but when he remembered that she also played a hand in this by having this conversation with Erin to release Adrik, he’s angry at her too but he knew a perfect way to treat her misbehavior.
"Get up." He ordered Abbadon, who stood up immediately. He was still scared to look at him but that was good.
The fear was good because that would always remind him of what would happen to him, if he betrays his trust in him again.
"Now listen to me, you are going to drop every single resentment you have towards Adrik and the witch."
"What?" Abbadons face crunched up in annoyance immediately. Does he knew what he was saying? 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"Listen, I need you to keep a close eye on the both of them, I don’t know who to trust anymore but you. If he’s going to allow you near his son. You need to make amends with him and try to gain his trust around his son."
"Why?"
"What do you mean ’why’. He’s going to try to leave, I might not be able to stop him. But am hoping that i would be able to take Ares away before he ruins us all."
