Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 214 - Two Hundred And Fourteen:It Hurts So MuChapter
Oregon heard the word about Sakura being awake, thankfully she had received enough treatment for her to regain consciousness to know that she was back home, and not back in Lucifer’s dungeon.
Word had it about her rejecting every visitation of the doctors, who came to check up on him, and he could care less what was bothering her in her mind for her to take out her frustration out on innocent phantoms.
He was still angry at her for what she had done to him, if she hadn’t locked him up then she wouldn’t have been captured by Lucifer and tortured like some criminal.
He stood outside her room, hearing the crashing sounds in her room, and then her yelling to her maids.
"Get out!" He heard her yell, and he’s glad that she’s back to herself, and had her voice to talk because he needed answers to the questions he had for her, so there’s no excuse whatsoever that she would come up with this time around.
The two female phantoms that walked out of her room, flinched in fear when they saw him standing outside and they paid their respects to him before leaving in a hurry.
It didn’t take a day or more to repair the damages Lucifer and his army rained down in his palace after the attack to find Narika. So, there’s no point in exerting any revenge on him right now seeing that everyone was in celebration.
Narika had a child,as per the prophecy. She had a baby, hell’s savior. This only wouldn’t benefit not just her nor Adrik, but he knew that Lucifer’s ego would take on another form right now.
That would not just affect hell, but asweell the other dimensions under the dark forces that were being ruled under hell. If anything, Oregon had nothing yet to say about what had happened, all he wanted right now was to rest and to fix the problem with Sakura.
This time he didn’t care if she’s going to listen to him, nor would he care if she wouldn’t like the rules he’s going to give her. The main point right now was to keep her away from hell’s business, because things are going to get messy from right now.
She might be lucky to be alive until he came for her, but then luck wouldn’t be on her side next time.
Oregon heard her crying from where he stood outside her, before he wasted no more time and entered her room to see her perched on a chair in a window side. She didn’t look to see who was in her room but maybe she knew.
"Leave, I’m not in any mood to talk to anyone right now." Sakura told the maid, who came into her room, she didn’t hear the girl leave, but she expected to hear the door close, but when she heard nothing, she turned to face her uncle, Oregon.
The man who she had locked up to perish for eternity. A shock ran through her spine, seeing him. He was healthy, more than her and it was as if he wasn’t in a coma.
She wasn’t expecting to see him, especially not now. Not so early, as she didn’t know what exactly or how exactly she’s going to apologize to him for what she did to him.
But then waking up to hear the bitter story about Adrik having a baby with Narika, made her remember the loss of her own child. Then also, did she realize that truly just like her uncle had said, that if Lucifer knew about her pregnancy back then that he’s going to kill her.
The motherfucker proved that by mocking her, after he had read her memories and she just couldn’t help with the guilt that followed behind for not listening to her uncle in the first place.
The hate in her heart towards Narika grew more and more, regardless of her losing her child. She loved Adrik, and he knew that. The only thing he could give to her after years of being there for him was nothing, absolutely nothing.
Now, he thinks just because he found his mate then he cound get rid of her so easily. That can’t happen..no, it wouldn’t happen. As long as she still lives, Adrik wouldn’t be able to be happy when she’s not, never!
"U...uncle." She stuttered, moving back slowly when Oregon started walking around her room to see the destruction she did to it.
She was scared of what he would do to her, of course she ought to be.
"I heard you were awake, how are you feeling?’’Oregon asked, he continued walking until he stopped in front of her, where she was with her head bent low.
"I’m fine." She whispered.
"Why is your head bent low? Do you not feel okay yet?" Oregon knew the torture he was putting her through, but pretended not to have any idea about what he’s doing.
"I’m sorry." Sakura finally opened up, she figured out that there’s no way this was going to end without her uncle punishing her for what she had done. so, there’s no need to try to hide anymore.
"What? I didn’t hear you right?" Oregon said, and he could say Sakura was not feeling remorseful about what she did, because he heard her murmur before a sigh, that made him angry, and he wrapped his hand around her neck, jerking her head up to meet his gaze.
"I see,you have a death wish?" He said, while she tried to beaf his hands off from her neck, as he did nothing but try to cut off her air circulation."Tell me? Did you finally gain your place at Adrik’s side, after you are done trying to kill me?"
"Let me go!" She cried.
"Why did i even bother saving you, maybe it would have been much better if you died in Lucifer’s dungeon, as nothing but a filth he sees you as." Oregon said, he pulled her closer to him for her to be able to hear every single word that came out of his lips.
"I told you, Sakura. The moment you stop fantasizing about being by Adrik’s side, is the day you realize that you are better off not hurting yourself because he would never look at a ghost like you, the witch is his mate. Accept or die trying to do that." He said harshly, before pushing her away while she coughed.
"I would never live to accept that, Adrik is mine, and the best thing anyone of you, including Lucifer would do is to accept that." Sakura said, but on top of not feeling fine, she received a slap from her uncle. A second time in less than two months.
"I trained you to be better, Sakura. Why give away your life for a man, who doesn’t care that you exist!"Oregon roared.
"He cares!" Sakura lied, just to have a comeback for her uncle’s claim.
"Well, I heard the funny story that he’s the one who nearly killed you before you were captured. That’s such a romantic story!" Oregon smirked, while Sakura narrowed her eyes down in shame, she didn’t know what else to say but then that doesn’t mean that her uncle had won.
He came closer, to raise her head up to clean the tears that pricked at the corner of her eyes. He didn’t hate her, and she knew that. All he does is for her, he had no child of his own, Sakura was more than just his niece.
He couldn’t bear the thoughts of her parents, watching from the crystal palace how their daughter wanted to waste the given life that she had, because of a man who killed her.
"Sakura, look at me." He said in a low tone, making the lady cry the more before she hugged him and let the tears fall the more.
"I love him." She confessed, amidst tears."I..love him. It hurts so much!" She added.
She knew that Oregon wouldn’t be able to understand her predicament, because he never really got the chance to fall in love.
"I know."Oregon said, this time he listened to her pour out her heart to him, about her feelings towards Adrik. He didn’t want to show out that he was hurt, that instead of her, that Narika was chosen to be his mate.
But this was what he saw coming, and tried everything to stop whatever she had for him before it was too late. But it seems he didn’t try harder, because it was already too late.
Sakura gave him her everything, and got nothing but heartbreak. At this point, he was regretting aborting her child, maybe if the child was still alive, she would have something kf Adrik to treasure, rather than to wallow in self pity.
He’s responsible for why she’s like this, this is all her fault.
"I’m sorry, Sakura. I’m really sorry, my angel." He apologized, kissing her temple before cleaning the tears on her face.``Everything would be fine, I promise you."
