My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 1002: Acting on Mr. Ye’s Instructions
The battle began, with artillery roaring and bullets whistling angrily.
In some city, Lani was maneuvering her troops from the command center, launching attacks on the city from all directions.
The mighty army surrounded the city tightly, leaving only one direction unassailed, reserved specifically for the city’s troops to escape, naturally extending into Nami’s territory.
"Da da da!" Bullets continued to roar, filling the air like a storm.
Bullets were fired by Lani’s men, as well as by Nami’s men.
"Boom boom boom!!!" Explosions shook the surroundings, shattering warriors and churning up the ground.
With the support of artillery, Lani’s men rushed forward chaotically, launching an offensive amid the city’s collapse and destruction.
The shelling was done by both Lani’s attacking troops and Nami’s defensive troops.
Both Lani’s and Nami’s sides suffered casualties, though relatively more warriors from Lani’s side died.
Lani observed the battlefield from the command center. Despite feeling heartache for the casualties, she suppressed her emotions with fortitude.
"To follow Mr. Ye’s instructions and enable Yahward to penetrate deep into Ba Country and then encircle them, certain casualties and sacrifices are worthwhile and unavoidable."
"For the unification of Ba Country and to prevent a fragmented battleground, we must seize this opportunity well."
"To gain Yahward’s trust and avoid arousing suspicion, blood and sacrifice are necessary. There’s no faking it; we must fight with real bullets and pave the way forward with blood."
Lani thought to herself, lacking any mercy or softness.
"Annihilate all enemy forces within half an hour and trample the city underfoot. Order all assault units that if the city is not conquered within half an hour, the leaders of all attack units will die." Lani issued a stern order.
"Leader, rest assured, the defending city’s troops number only about three hundred. To us, they are a ragtag army cobbled together, and it won’t take half an hour to breach the city, but to annihilate all defending troops is impossible. No ambush troops are arranged in the direction of Ba Country’s core, and hastily pursuing if they flee is somewhat rash. Shall we arrange troops now to cut off their escape?" One of Lani’s generals remarked confidently.
"No need. If anyone abandons the city and flees, all the better. Let the fleeing soldiers spread stories of our invincibility, demoralizing Nami’s forces and paving the way for our next wave of attacks. What we need to do now is advance forcefully, striking fear into the enemy and causing them to flee." Lani had her own plan.
"The leader is wise." Several generals admired.
A quarter of an hour later, Lani’s forces breached the city’s defenses, annihilating the resisting troops, leaving no survivors. The defending troops discovered the escape route left by Lani, but facing such a fierce attack, the defending leaders understood there was surely an ambush there and chose to fight to the end instead of fleeing.
Lani’s goodwill didn’t work, and the defenders’ judgment led to their demise, leaving no chance for surrender; they were slaughtered by Lani’s warriors.
"Continue the offensive to the next city, capture all target cities in a single sweep." Lani relocated to a new command post and advanced with the main force.
On the other side, Yahward’s forces were still attacking, yet to seize their city.
"Sir, Miss Lani has already secured a city and annihilated all defending troops, continuing to advance." The person monitoring Lani reported to Yahward.
"Lani’s attacks are strong; she’s competing for territory with me. How can I be subordinate to her?" Yahward felt mildly surprised, yet very satisfied with Lani’s formidable performance, issuing cold orders: "Show no mercy and give it all. Order the front-line troops to quicken their pace. Any coward who hesitates in fear shall be killed without mercy."
Thus, Yahward and Lani motivated each other, launching an overwhelming attack on Nami’s territory.
Soon, Yahward and Lani had penetrated into Ba Country’s core, achieving the planned results.
Night fell, and both forces paused their attacks, setting up camp to rest.
In the city under Yahward’s command, soldiers indulged themselves, while the civilians were subjected to abuse and violation.
In Lani’s city, no scenes of oppression appeared; civilians hid anxiously without venturing outside.
At this moment, Yahward and Lani were nearly a thousand miles apart, making meeting impossible, maintaining contact only by phone.
"Nami’s troops are indeed vulnerable, either collapsing immediately or fleeing chaotically at the first sign of trouble, like mice seeing a cat."
"If this momentum continues, not only can we claim the original territory, but even Nami’s complete defeat is possible."
"I think it’s thanks to the leader’s brilliant command that we’ve achieved these results."
Surrounding Lani, her generals discussed jubilantly.
"It’s not my command that’s brilliant. Following Mr. Ye’s instructions, today’s rapid assault yielded the desired results. Yahward and I just pushed forward relentlessly, capturing territory. Throughout, apart from fleeing soldiers, we encountered little resistance other than fierce battles at the start. Afterwards, it became smoother."
"According to Mr. Ye’s plan, by now, Nami’s troops should have stabilized behind Yahward and me. However, as we advanced, I noticed no large forces, indicating that the troops cutting off our retreat are well-hidden." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Lani gazed into the night, hope shining in her eyes.
She offered no response to the generals’ discussions, waiting for the right moment to reveal her plans.
"Everyone, don’t underestimate the situation. Nami’s heavy artillery forces haven’t been deployed yet. Tanks and armored vehicles are on the ground, and fighters in the air. These forces haven’t appeared, proving our current encounters are localized. Future encounters will be much tougher." Lani cautioned.
"Leader, I heard that Yahward’s side met significant resistance and has suffered over ten thousand casualties so far." A general commented oddly: "Since the start of the war, we have killed more than five thousand of Nami’s men, yet our casualties are under four hundred. Relatively speaking, our luck is extraordinary. It’s all thanks to the leader’s excellent command."
"According to Mr. Ye’s instructions, the initial victories were orchestrated for me to win deliberately, to minimize mutual casualties, hence avoiding them as much as possible." Lani understood clearly, though her generals were unaware of these facts for now.
