My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 1003: Into the "Tiger’s Den
On the surface, Yahward and Lani achieved an unprecedented victory.
But in secret, the trap to encircle Yahward and put him to death is slowly closing.
Outside the city that Yahward has already occupied, Michael has revealed himself. He has already gathered an army of twenty thousand beside him, including not only the unit originally led by Michael but also forces scattered from other areas gradually converging on him.
Michael’s force of twenty thousand troops has blocked the inevitable retreat path of Yahward.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Michael has completely cut off Yahward’s retreat.
Of course, Michael is well hidden, and Yahward’s people have not discovered him, nor can they.
"Following Mr. Ye’s instructions, I have arrived at the designated location," Michael whispered into the night, "To have such great planning, making Yahward and Lani fully attack Nami, now with Yahward and Lani deeply entrenched in Nami’s territory, once conflict breaks out, Yahward and Nami are doomed. I blocked Yahward’s path to life, and surely someone’s blocking Lani’s as well. Only Mr. Ye could assemble such courage, bringing all Ba Country’s forces out for a decisive battle."
Michael didn’t know Lani was also with Mr. Ye, but it didn’t matter. What was particularly crucial for him was serving Mr. Ye, with no intent of betraying Nami anymore, thus assuring him a high position and endless prosperity and wealth. Yet if he were to harbor malicious thoughts and not fight desperately against the enemy, his outcome would naturally be dire.
This was a task personally instructed by Mr. Ye, so Michael dared not have any treacherous thoughts.
For him, Mr. Ye’s deterrence was naturally stronger than Nami’s.
"I wonder when Mr. Ye will issue the order to attack, I’m getting a little restless," Michael hoped.
...
In the city where Yahward was located, several generals gathered around him.
"Sir, besides the thirty thousand troops guarding our bases, we dispatched eighty thousand troops to campaign against Nami. So far, just the dead number ten thousand, over ten thousand more are suffering various degrees of injuries, losing some combat power, and another ten thousand are stationed in the cities we’ve captured. The remaining troops ready to attack are fifty thousand. Compared to the achievements we’ve gained, our losses aren’t big. After all, Nami’s resistance is fierce. I’ve heard Nami’s side of the battlefield hasn’t mounted much resistance; could there be something strange about it?" a general reported briefly and expressed his doubts.
"This can only indicate Lani’s good fortune. I and Lani are advancing side by side against Nami, wanting to repel both of us at once is impossible. Nami can only try to repel me first, then deal with Lani. Nami’s strategy now is to defeat us piecemeal. As long as we hold out and defeat Nami’s scheme, we’ll achieve total victory. Of course, during this time, Lani will achieve the greatest gain with minimal cost. Subsequently, the power dynamics in Ba Country may shift, but the premise is Lani’s unwavering determination to resist Nami together with me. As long as we understand this point, any sacrifice I make is worthwhile. Warriors can be recruited again if they die, but if Nami becomes strong, it’s my end. I know which is more important."
Yahward’s trust in Lani was unyielding, and he was also clear about Nami’s focus on him.
"Sir, you strategize brilliantly, holding insight into the classics, we are impressed."
The generals believed Yahward’s words unconditionally.
After Yahward arranged the attack plan for the next day, he made a call to Lani.
"Miss Lani, I’ve heard you’re having quite a comfortable time with little resistance?" Yahward spoke casually, as if chatting idly.
"Perhaps, compared to the resistance you face, I’m indeed more at ease," Lani laughed, "Seems like my luck is good, letting you bear most of the pressure, and you’ve gained less than me."
"That’s because my forces are larger and stronger. When my army runs rampant, the destruction is enormous, and Nami can’t withstand it. Therefore, they focus fully on suppressing me and then dealing with you," Yahward agreed, affirming his grasp of Ba Country’s situation, "After this battle is over, my strength may be much less than yours."
"Certainly, I realized this when we joined forces to make an expedition. Nami will definitely focus on attacking you, this gap is my best chance to expand territory," Lani responded smugly.
"As long as Ba Country returns to a tripod situation, no one can destroy anyone, especially letting Nami lose the chance and power to swallow us both up. Any loss I suffer is worthwhile," Yahward proclaimed loudly.
"Since you’re so magnanimous, I won’t be miserly either; once the battle is over and Nami’s counterattack repelled, securing the occupied territory, I’ll give you ample resources as compensation. How does that sound?" Lani, using eloquence, offered nothing but verbal pledges that were mere empty promises,. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"Then I graciously accept," Yahward agreed to Lani’s verbal assistance.
The night passed.
At dawn the next morning, at Lani’s camp, a helicopter landed.
Lani personally led people to greet it, all her generals present.
"Who could it be?"
"Even the leader has come to welcome them collectively?"
"Arriving by helicopter? It’s impossible for foreign powers, and domestically, only a few individuals from the Nami faction are qualified to use helicopters, but if they’re from the Nami faction, what are they doing here? To die?"
"No one knows what kind of plan the leader is up to, it’s confusing."
The generals beside Lani were full of doubts, looking at the helicopter, then at Lani, growing more perplexed.
"Leader, what’s going on? Who’s in the helicopter? Even if it’s Nami himself, he wouldn’t warrant your personal greeting," a general finally couldn’t hold back and voiced the others’ curiosity.
"Patience, you’ll know soon enough," Lani responded slowly.
After the helicopter landed, three people emerged: Ye Fan, Nami, and Ku Eryue.
"The new leader of Ba Country, Nami."
"Head of the Wild Alliance, Miss Ku Eryue."
"Founder of the Wild Alliance, Ye Fan, known as War God in Ba Country, making everyone apprehensive."
"Oh my, what brings Mr. Ye and them here?"
"We’re in the midst of fighting each other, and the enemy leaders are all here, do they seek death?"
All the generals beside Lani were stunned.
