Substitute Bride: Utterly Pampered by Her Billionaire Husband-Chapter 1274: Following Her All the Way
Ethan Barnes looked intently at Miles Linden. Now Miles had to make a choice: Willow Crawford or Hannah Alden.
Hannah Alden felt she was going to win for sure. Miles Linden had been so hostile to Willow Crawford just now. Though she didn’t know what had happened between them, there must have been a falling out. This was her great opportunity to exploit.
"Miles~" Hannah Alden nestled adorably next to Miles Linden, looking at him full of hope.
Willow Crawford watched coldly from the side. Was there really a need to choose? He would surely pick Hannah Alden.
He was already so intimate with Hannah Alden, now it’s just reliving old dreams.
Willow Crawford just hoped it would all end soon. She didn’t want to stay in this stifling place any longer.
"I choose Hannah Alden." At this point, Miles Linden spoke up.
He made his choice, choosing Hannah Alden.
Although this choice was expected by Willow Crawford, her heart still felt a sharp sting.
"Are you guys done? I’m heading home." Willow Crawford stood up and left the luxurious private room.
Willow Crawford left, and Hannah Alden was the happiest of them all. She looked at Miles Linden shyly and timidly, "Miles, so we..."
At this point, Miles Linden reached out and coldly pushed her away.
"Miles, you..." Hannah Alden was a bit confused, not knowing what Miles Linden meant. According to the game rules, she should now go to a hotel room with Miles Linden.
"Brother-in-law, are you leaving?" Ethan Barnes stood up and spoke in a low voice, "Don’t forget you drank that glass..."
Miles Linden’s piercing eyes fell on Ethan Barnes’ face, then he smirked, "The game ends here. If we continue, I can’t guarantee what I’ll do. Do you still want to continue playing with me?"
Miles Linden’s deep eyes swirled with some dark elements, combined with faint red blood vessels, exuding an indescribable beauty and danger. Ethan Barnes knew this young man was at the brink of his patience. He immediately raised his hands, "Alright, alright, whatever you say, brother-in-law."
Miles Linden strode away.
Ethan Barnes called after him, "Brother-in-law, safe travels. Come and play again sometime."
...
Willow Crawford left the bar. She didn’t take a car but walked back.
The refreshing evening breeze stirred her hair. She looked down at the ground, wondering all the while what Miles Linden and Hannah Alden were doing now.
Suddenly Willow Crawford stopped in her tracks. She put her small hands to her mouth and shouted, "Miles Linden, I hate you!"
The girl’s sweet voice instantly drew everyone’s attention, and people began to watch.
"Look at that pretty girl!"
"What’s she shouting? Is she arguing with her boyfriend?"
"Sounds like it."
"What’s the name she’s shouting? Lin...den?"
Willow Crawford still felt unsatisfied. She shouted again, "Miles Linden, I really hate you so much!"
Unbeknownst to her, a slender and handsome figure quietly stood not far behind her. Miles Linden had followed her out and caught up with her.
Although Ethan Barnes said let her go home, he was not assured.
Miles Linden, I hate you!
Miles Linden, I really hate you so much!
Miles Linden put his hands in his pockets, and the long-accumulated frustration suddenly eased. Miles Linden, Miles Linden... she called his name in that sweet voice over and over, it was enough.
Miles Linden looked at the charming girl in front of him and gently smiled, "Oh, got it."
...
Willow Crawford returned home safely. Only when he saw her go inside did Miles Linden turn back.
His body felt hot, as if he was about to explode.
Miles Linden went into the shower, repeatedly trying to cool off with cold water, but the mix of hot and cold was almost driving him insane.
Soon, he felt a warmth in his nose and reached to touch it, coming away with bright red.
He had a nosebleed.
Ethan Barnes had always been trouble since childhood. The wine he offered wasn’t good. The after-effects were just too strong. Although Miles Linden was a prodigious youth, he was completely inexperienced in matters of the heart.
Turning off the tap, Miles Linden donned a black robe and walked out, as a mellow ringtone started to play, signaling an incoming call.
It was Ethan Barnes.
Miles Linden pressed the button to answer but didn’t speak.
"Brother-in-law, how are you now? Don’t say your brother-in-law doesn’t care about you. You’re just stubborn, not taking your brother-in-law’s advice."
"That wine is too strong for ordinary people. You let Willow Crawford go and escorted her all the way home. Are you regretting it now? Just say the word, and I’ll have someone bring her over, washed and tucked into your bed."
Miles Linden’s handsome face flushed pale, he was clearly not feeling well. His wet short hair kept dripping blood, making this soaked and misty teenage heartthrob particularly alluring. His voice came out hoarse, "Don’t touch her, or... you will definitely regret it!"
"Tsk, tsk, brother-in-law, who would’ve thought you’re such a romantic? You’ve held back despite all this. I’m moved by you."
"I mean, brother-in-law, you haven’t touched a woman yet, are you still a virgin?" Ethan Barnes teased him.
Miles Linden didn’t say a word and directly hung up the call.
In this condition, he couldn’t go to the hospital, so Miles Linden laid down on the bed.
The waves of heat surged constantly, and his bones felt like ants were crawling inside.
It’s okay, he could endure it.
Miles Linden took out something from under his pillow, her handkerchief.
The handkerchief was embroidered with the word "Willow."
Miles Linden gently closed his eyes and then kissed the "Willow" softly.
...
Club.
Listening to the "beep beep" of the busy signal, Ethan Barnes tossed his phone onto the sofa.
He lounged lazily back into the sofa and chugged down a bottle of beer.
"Young master, you should drink less. Your health just recovered, you shouldn’t drink." One of his men came over to advise.
Ethan Barnes didn’t even lift his eyelids, "Get lost."
The subordinate sheepishly walked away.
Soon, the coffee table was littered with empty bottles. Ethan Barnes was feeling a bit drunk. He recalled Miles Linden, that stubborn nature, just as... his sister.
His sister was stubborn too.
Even with mountains of gold and silver offered to her, she still wouldn’t relent, crying beneath him, not at all like other women who pleased him. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
In no time, Ethan Barnes collapsed onto the sofa.
His men were alarmed, "Young master! Young Master!"
...
Ethan Barnes woke up in the large bed of his villa, where a private doctor had given him an IV.
"Young master, your body isn’t suited for alcohol right now. Drinking too much today caused stomach bleeding," the doctor said cautiously.
"I got it, leave." Ethan Barnes replied impatiently.
The doctor didn’t dare say more and quickly left.
Right then, a subordinate rushed in, "Young... young master..."
Ethan Barnes was in a bad mood, "Tongue-tied?"
"Young master, we found... found where Celeste Linden is now!"
What?
Ethan Barnes reached over and pulled out the IV, jumping out of bed immediately, so rushed he didn’t even wear slippers.
