Substitute Bride: Utterly Pampered by Her Billionaire Husband-Chapter 1273: Don’t Touch Me, Get Lost!
Miles Linden looked at Ethan Barnes, his voice flat and unwavering, "If I wanted her in my bed, would I still need your help?"
Ethan paused, then burst out laughing, "Hahaha!" Indeed, he hadn’t misjudged; Miles was just like him.
It would be interesting to drag Miles into this hell too.
So very interesting.
"Kiddo, let’s drink a toast." Ethan urged.
Willow Crawford watched Miles Linden, only to see him pick up his glass; Hannah Alden also picked up her glass. The two entwined arms and drank the toast.
Clap clap clap.
Ethan cheered while clapping.
Willow’s slender white fingers curled up; she had long expected Miles and Hannah to drink the toast. They shared such intimate relations in private that anything was normal.
She had made a resolution in her heart never to care about Miles’s matters again, never to let him disrupt her heartbeat.
But at this moment, Willow still felt very painful and uncomfortable inside.
She didn’t even know how she could fall for such a bad boy.
He was truly bad and rotten!
Miles put down the glass, "Can we leave now?"
He used... we. He and Willow. He came to take Willow away.
Ethan waved, "No rush, since you’re here, let’s play a round. We were missing one, and I’ve been waiting for you."
"How do you want to play? Play what?" Miles asked.
"Cards, the stakes are Hannah and Willow. One round decides the win, and the final winner can take one of these beauties with them. The one not chosen gets to go home." Ethan explained the rules.
"Okay, let’s play like that. We agree." The two wealthy heirs quickly agreed, their leering eyes fixed on Willow. As the final winner, they could take Willow away, hehe.
"Willow Crawford’s charm is really too great, my two friends are drooling over her. Kid, are you playing or not?"
Miles glanced at the two wealthy heirs. Ethan just wanted him to accompany them in the game. If he lost this round, Willow would definitely be taken away by them.
He had to win.
"Alright, I’ll play." Miles agreed.
The four sat down and started dealing cards.
"Willow Crawford, don’t just sit there doing nothing. Come over and pour us some tea." Ethan ordered.
Willow thought her day was quite surreal, inexplicably becoming a stake and now being ordered around by Ethan like a serving girl. She was afraid she might one day forget her noble princess identity.
Willow got up, took the tea from the waiter’s hands, and started pouring.
Willow poured a cup for Ethan first. Miles was nearby, and Hannah clung to Miles like a clingy octopus, "Miles, open your mouth, ah, and eat a grape."
Hannah peeled a grape, delicately held it with her orchid-like fingers, and fed the big grape to Miles’s mouth.
Because Willow was nearby, Hannah’s voice was particularly coy, the kind that made men’s bones melt and gave women goosebumps.
Miles didn’t react; in fact, he didn’t even notice Hannah. All his attention was on Willow.
As Willow approached, he could smell her clean, sweet scent.
Miles felt a little heated, his body temperature starting to rise.
Willow watched the scene of Hannah feeding Miles grapes, and it felt like a heavy stone was pressed on her chest, making it hard to breathe.
She forced herself not to look, but her gaze still strayed over.
Observing the subtle dynamics among the three, Ethan smiled faintly, then suddenly reached out and pushed Willow.
Willow was unprepared, and the tea spilled, soaking Miles’s white T-shirt and black pants.
"What’s going on, Willow Crawford? How can you be so clumsy, can’t even pour tea properly? Quickly, use a paper to wipe my buddy off." Ethan scolded while handing paper to Willow.
"..." Willow knew Ethan had pushed her. She was speechless at his acting like a victim.
Miles’s clothes were indeed wet. Willow took the tissues and started to wipe him, "Sorry, I didn’t mean to. Let me wipe it for you."
As Willow leaned over, they were suddenly close, and Miles could feel her fingers unintentionally touch his waist. A man’s waist shouldn’t be touched.
Miles’s throat moved; he noticed something strange about the wine earlier because his body felt off.
Miles extended his hand and grabbed Willow’s delicate wrist.
Willow trembled slightly and looked up at him.
Miles’s handsome face was dark enough to drip water, his beautiful phoenix eyes storming, "Don’t touch me, get away!"
He pushed her away.
Don’t touch me!
Get away!
Willow stumbled back several steps, nearly falling.
He was so heartless. Indeed, she overthought that night; he never liked her. No, it wasn’t that; he downright hated her!
Fine, very well; she doesn’t want to like such a bad and rotten person either! 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Willow sat back on the sofa.
Ethan enjoyed the drama, "Buddy, that’s not right of you. Be gentle with girls; you’re nearly making Willow cry."
"Exactly, Willow Crawford, don’t bother with such heartless people. Later, I’ll console you well." The heir grinned lecherously.
Miles lightly lifted his eyelids and glanced at Ethan, "What did you give me to drink?"
"Nothing," Ethan feigned innocence, "just wine, although it’s strong. You’ll need some entertainment later, so once you win, choose wisely."
Saying this, Ethan took a sip of the wine and laughed aloud. He knew Miles was like him, only Ethan embraced his nature, while Miles suppressed his darkness and desires. Let them both go to hell together.
Miles coldly narrowed his elegant eyes, his whole demeanor chilly, as the card game officially began.
Miles hadn’t played much cards, but to a numerical genius like him, card games were just light puzzles to solve. Soon, the two wealthy heirs lost.
The heirs were unhappy, having missed the chance to choose Willow.
At the table, only Ethan and Miles were left. Ethan was a seasoned card player, but his luck was too poor tonight. Soon, he threw his cards on the table and cursed, "Damn!"
"No need to be upset; as they say, unlucky at cards, lucky in love." The heir chuckled.
Is that so?
Ethan leaned heavily against the chair, recalling someone, licked his lips, and the accidental wildness was charming.
"Buddy, you won. Choose between Hannah and Willow to take away; the room’s ready for you."
