Chapter 32: Meeting the Huang Family Head

Leng Wushen’s eyes widened as he grasped the meaning behind Long Tian’s words.

"Are you saying ... you want to wipe out the entire Huang family?" he asked in horror.

"Yes, it’s best to eradicate the root of the problem. Is there anything wrong with that?" Long Tian chuckled.

Leng Wushen looked at Long Tian as if he were a madman. He then shook his head, realizing Long Tian might be bluffing.

"That’s a bold statement, young man."

The sudden male voice surprised both of them as the door to the interrogation room swung open.

Huang Yin stepped inside with his butler, his eyes calm and serene without a trace of hatred.

Leng Wushen turned around and recognized him; his eyes narrowed briefly.

Long Tian looked at both men, sensing an intense danger from them that caused his expression to change.

For the first time since arriving in China, Long Tian felt a sense of threat.

Not from guns. Not from assassins.

From this man.

"Who are you?" Long Tian said, narrowing his eyes.

Huang Yin chuckled, "Mr. Long Tian, weren’t you claiming to uproot the problem by erasing my family and me? My name is Huang Yin, and this is my butler."

Long Tian’s eyes widened before he let out a soft chuckle. "Interesting! And what honor do I owe for this visit?"

"I came to see what kind of person dared to kill my son," Huang Yin replied.

Huang Yin and Long Tian’s expressions hardened; the atmosphere froze as their murderous intents clashed.

Leng Wushen shivered under the tension.

The air grew suffocating. Even breathing felt hard.

He started sweating heavily, even though it wasn’t hot.

He tried to speak, but no words came out.

The butler and Huang Yin were surprised, sensing Long Tian’s killing intent.

Huang Yin found this interesting and retracted his killing intent.

"It seems you’re not an ordinary person. I know my son might be in the wrong, but that doesn’t justify killing him. As his father, I must avenge him, whether he’s right or wrong," Huang Yin said coldly.

Long Tian burst out laughing at these words.

Everyone was puzzled by his laughter. The situation didn’t seem to call for it.

Long Tian composed himself, then answered in a cold voice, "You’re different from what—wholly different from what I thought. I expected the father to be like the son or vice versa, but it seems you’re not that foolish."

The butler wanted to attack after hearing this, but Huang Yin stopped him with a wave.

Long Tian saw this and smiled coldly.

"Controlling your killing intent, hatred, and anger in front of your son’s killer isn’t something an ordinary person can do," Long Tian said with a grin.

An enemy like this... one misstep, and it’ll be your last.

"Thank you." Huang Yin appreciated. "But it doesn’t change the fact that you are going to die."

"Oh, really!" Long Tian maintained his smile.

Huang Yin smiled; the room grew tense for a moment.

He turned and began walking out with his butler. "I am expecting your arrival. Also, don’t think I am removing the bounty; if you can’t survive that, you aren’t worthy of meeting me."

Long Tian watched him walk out with his butler.

China has been full of anomalies lately.

With his strength as the Fox King, he thought he was at the top of the world. But it was his master’s caution and what he encountered at the forbidden area of Devil’s Island that curbed his arrogance.

The cultivation inheritances he received made him realize that there’s a sky over the earth.

From Murong Chen to this man, he realized his revenge might be more difficult than it seemed.

And China seemed like troubled waters.

Leng Wushen heaved a sigh of relief when he saw everything had returned to normal.

He glanced at Long Tian and saw he was still smiling, but his eyes were cold and emotionless.

As Huang Yin and his butler walked out and entered the SUV they brought,

The butler couldn’t help asking, "Master, why did you stop me from moving?"

"That moment wasn’t the right time. We are in that old guy’s place, and he wouldn’t allow us to kill people in his domain. I am sure you planned to kill that young man in one sneak attack. Do you think he’s as ordinary as he looks?"

Huang Yin said, his gaze fixed on the streets and the moving crowd.

"What do you mean, master?" The butler was surprised by his master’s tone.

He seems to see Long Tian as a threatening danger.

"Don’t you feel how strong his killing intent is, which shows many have fallen by his hand? Even under my words, he remained calm and composed. And those threatening words of his, about exterminating our family, suggest we might have provoked a disaster."

"That idiotic son, I don’t know why he provoked someone like that," Huang Yin snorted.

"Master, if your words are true, does it mean he comes from that place?" The butler’s eyes widened.

"It’s hard to say, because his background for the past eighteen years is blank. Even if he isn’t from there, that doesn’t mean we should underestimate him. There are hidden dragons and crouching tigers. We might need to contact someone from that place for backup."

The butler was surprised by his master’s words, "Is he that dangerous?"

"One can never be too cautious. Prevention is better than cure," Huang Yin sighed.

The butler nodded as the car drove away under the setting sun.

Long Tian sat down, pondering his encounter with Huang Yin.

It seemed he would need to change his plans and boost his strength, or he might find himself at a disadvantage.

While he was thinking, Leng Wushen walked in again.

"Mr. Long Tian, you are free to go. Also, your wife is waiting for you outside," he chuckled.

Long Tian heard this and thought he must have misheard.

"My Wife..." He muttered in shock.
