Love Command: Darling, Do You Yield?-Chapter 90 - 91: Viola Harris Is Missing 2
Chapter 90: Chapter 91: Viola Harris Is Missing 2
In the car, Iris Harris gently held her hand, Brandan Hyde drove fast, both were silent, only the atmosphere seemed somewhat heavy.
The Harris family in River City is not considered a distinguished household, but it does have some notoriety.
Families like Brandan Hyde’s train their children in self-defense from a young age, just in case of future threats like kidnapping and extortion.
The hospital where Viola Harris is staying has a special inpatient unit dedicated to prominent families, with stricter security measures than regular inpatient units. Fingerprint access is needed for the elevators, and ordinary people can’t get in.
Yet, even in such a place, the seriousness of the situation is highlighted.
Iris Harris felt a gentle squeeze at her heart. She couldn’t help but worry.
If she really was kidnapped, money is the least concern; the fear is Viola Harris may suffer unthinkable treatment there. Someone like her, so proud and aloof, if humiliated, would be devastated.
The Cayenne stopped at the hospital entrance, Brandan Hyde quickly got out of the car and headed towards the inpatient unit.
Iris Harris hurried to follow. The two of them arrived at Viola Harris’s place, and from afar, they heard Mrs. Harris’s cries.
A circle of people gathered at the ward door, even the hospital director was there. Seeing Brandan Hyde, the director hurried over, "Young Hyde..."
"What’s going on?"
Brandan Hyde walked over, took a glance at the ward; it was tidy, with no signs of struggle or conflict.
"Brandan!" Mrs. Harris saw Brandan Hyde, ran over crying, grabbed Brandan Hyde’s arm, sobbing, "What do we do, Viola is still missing!"
Brandan Hyde asked in a deep voice, "Who was the last to see her?"
"It was me..."
A faint female voice emerged from the crowd; it was Viola Harris’s personal nurse. Her eyes were reddened, "Miss Harris said she wanted to stroll in the garden downstairs, so I wheeled her down, then I went to the bathroom, and when I returned to the garden, Miss Harris was gone... only the wheelchair was there."
When Mrs. Harris heard this, she was crying so hard she could barely breathe, "Viola must have been kidnapped by bad people!"
Brandan Hyde frowned slightly, "Is there surveillance?"
A security guard ran over from a distance, "The footage is retrieved!"
The group quickly went to the surveillance room. Sure enough, they saw the scene of the nurse wheeling Viola Harris downstairs, but the surveillance cut off when it reached the garden.
"There are no surveillance cameras in the garden," the director said with a cold sweat.
The garden was kept free of cameras for patient privacy; who would have thought it would result in the loss of the only clue now.
"And there’s this."
The guard brought up another surveillance.
It was footage from the hospital entrance camera.
Two men in black suits hurriedly carried an unconscious woman into a black sedan.
"Isn’t that Viola?!" Mrs. Harris shrieked, covering her mouth, tears streaming down nonstop, "That’s Viola, she’s wearing that outfit today!"
Iris Harris stepped forward, looking at the surveillance footage of Viola Harris being carried away unconscious, a chill arose in her heart.
Viola Harris is the only daughter of the Harris family; if something happens to her, it’s hard to imagine how Mr. and Mrs. Harris would cope.
"Young Hyde, should we..." The director glanced at Brandan Hyde, "Call the police first?"
The person went missing in his hospital, the director was terrified; she is Brandan Hyde’s girlfriend after all!
Hearing about calling the police, Mrs. Harris reacted even more strongly than Brandan Hyde, "No! We can’t call the police!" She said with reddened eyes, "If those people find out, what if they kill her out of spite? No, no, she’s my only daughter, no matter how much money they want, I’ll ransom her..."
