The young man, upon landing, gazed at the recruits, feeling proud, looking at the expressions on their faces, and their exclamations.

Though, he noticed that there were two ladies that did not seem to be amazed, and apart from them, there was also another young man, who did not have much of a reaction.

This made him raise his brows slightly, as he became interested in the group of three. But for now, he gazed towards the area where the Richard, instructors and staff members were seated.

Seeing the slight frown that was on Peter’s face, Alex, the young man, immediately understood that Peter was not happy with his showcase.

And Alex understood why that was the case. After all, among all these recruits, not all of them would be recruited into the organization.

For those that would be allowed to leave, being shown something like this, it would definitely raise some questions. And, the issue regarding mutants was something that was still being kept as a secret from the public.

Still, Alex did not think much about it. In any case, those that would leave the training camp, after failing to meet the recruitment requirements, they would have their memories altered.

Therefore, Alex did not care that much about the dissatisfaction from Peter, and went ahead and introduced himself.

"Hello, recruits. My name is Alex Dawson, and I will be the one in charge of your combat assessment today.

The rules of the combat assessment are simple, a fight. You have to fight, using all the skills that you have, but you have to adhere to the fact that, killing is not allowed here.

But more than that, you are not allowed to injure someone, especially if they have decided to surrender.

While fighting against men, either a lady versus a man, or a man versus another, you are prohibited from attacking the groin area.

This is a combat assessment, not a fight where you need to use all methods in order to win. We are testing the skills, not the wit.

As for when facing a lady as an opponent, I believe that all of you know where you should avoid attacking.

He was not the type to put on airs, but even then, he was quite proud, and kind of liked to show off. Regardless, for those that had no grudge against him, he was very easy going.

While Alex was explaining the rules of the combat assessment, Kate was lost in her own world.

This began the moment that Alex jumped from the stands, directly into the ring, which was almost over 20 meters away.

When she saw this, while others were still amazed, and exclaiming, she remembered the conversation that she had with Michael a few days ago.

At that time, Michael had asked her what kind of superpower would she like to have, in case there was a possibility of her acquiring one.

Even though she replied honestly, still, she was left with many thoughts, which Michael did not answer.

But now, seeing this, she finally understood what Michael was implying. This Alex, he was definitely not simple. There was a possibility that he had superpowers.

Otherwise, it would definitely be impossible for him to be able to achieve what he had done.

And as she thought about this, she realized, NEXUS was not as simple as Michael had introduced back then. It might still be a government organization, but it hid more.

In this organization, strength did the talking. If one was not strong enough, then they would not be favored by anyone.

"Young lady, may I know, what is your recruit number?" Upon noticing that Kate was finally paying attention, Alex immediately asked.
