I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 356 Hidding Truth
Boo gasped as if personally offended. "No, no, he grabbed Rocky. Boo is too delicate to be grabbed." He flipped his ghost hair dramatically.
"And teacher and I went inside scary cave! And I—BRAVE BOO—went with teacher to protect her because teacher is small and human and fragile and Boo is big and strong and ghosty."
Soxx looked at Boo’s small round body doubtfully. "...Big?"
"Huuuuge!!" Boo insisted.
"And then—listen carefully—principal sir and octopus uncle FOUGHT!!! They went BOOM!! BAM!! CRAAAASH!!" Boo waved his arms wildly, spinning in circles. "It was like two mountains punching each other!! Boo almost fainted from fear AND excitement!!"
Soxx’s jaw dropped. "Principal fought an octopus...?"
"And then—AND THEN—the shadows swallowed teacher!! WHOOSH!!!" Boo slapped both cheeks. "Boo fainted a little but nobody saw, so it doesn’t count."
Soxx gulped. "You fainted...?"
"Just 2 second... faint!! Not real faint!! Boo still manly!!" Boo declared proudly.
He then floated down dramatically, placing one small hand on Soxx’s shoulder.
"But in the end... Boo survived." He looked up at the ceiling, eyes watery with dramatic emotion.
"After fighting turtle swoosh, ocean deep deep, sparkle fishes, scary cave, uncle octopus, principal mountains battle, and shadow-whirlpool-of-doom..."
He exhaled shakily.
"Boo... lives... another day."
Soxx stared at him, absolutely speechless.
Boo sniffed dramatically and wiped his nonexistent sweat.
"Uncle Socxx... Boo is hero."
Soxx finally let out a long sigh and muttered under his breath, "I should’ve stayed retired..."
Boo, however, was already twirling happily in the air, reliving every second of his imaginary near-death adventure.

Felix blinked his sleepy eyes as he watched his mother twirl before the mirror, her joy bright enough to fill the entire room. Aine adjusted the necklace he had brought her, the delicate shells and tiny pearls shining softly against her collarbone. She lifted her chin proudly, admiring herself with dramatic flair.
"Oh my cub! Oh my precious cub!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with excitement as she turned toward him with sparkling eyes. "I can’t believe you actually brought something for me. I suspected you hid something in that bag, but I didn’t look, not even a peek! Isn’t your mom amazing? I respect your privacy, hm? I am such a good mother!"
She said it with so much pride that Felix couldn’t tell whether she was boasting or melting from happiness.
Yuki, standing nearby with a calm smile, rolled the bracelet Felix had gifted him around his wrist. It was a slim, sea-blue band decorated with tiny beads...very elegant, a little feminine, but he wore it with quiet pride. If it came from his son’s little hands, then it was perfect.
"It suits me," Yuki said with a soft nod, more to himself than anyone else. "Thank you, Felix."
Felix’s little ears drooped shyly, his tails curling around his feet as warmth washed over him. He rubbed his eyes again, still battling the heavy sleepiness clinging to him like soft snow.
"I... I’m glad you both liked them," he murmured, his voice small and sweet. His cheeks warmed as his mother kissed his forehead and his father ruffled his hair.
Felix kept his eyes lowered for a moment, his little fingers curling around the edge of his blanket as a thought appeared in his mind. He didn’t want to tell them about the whole incident, a nervous flutter tightened in his chest at just the idea of it. If he told them, what if they banned him from joining future trips? His mom was already too protective... what if she insisted on coming along next time? His whole tails drooped at the imagined embarrassment of his mother following him everywhere in front of his friends.
No, no... absolutely not.
So he pushed the worry deeper into his heart, deciding that hiding the unpleasant parts was the safest option. He would keep only the fun memories, the pretty gifts, and the happy moments. The rest... he tucked away behind a small, polite smile.
"So, my cub!" Aine chirped, practically glowing as she cupped Felix’s cheeks. "How was your trip? Tell me everything!"
Felix shifted, his tails swaying behind him as he tried to gather his thoughts. "Well... it was fun," he began softly, the tips of his ears turning pink. "I made new friends. They really liked my tails, and they were very interested in everything I know about land fruits. We watched a show too...it was really interesting and then we got to buy things from the fair. That’s how I brought both of you gifts."
He paused, rubbing his arm as a small wave of guilt brushed his chest. "And... on the way back, I... uh... fell asleep."
He looked down, his lashes fluttering, as if the admission made him feel like he had missed something important. A tiny wrinkle formed on his forehead, betraying the worry he was trying to hide...worry about the incident he hadn’t told them yet.
But his voice stayed gentle, soft enough to melt anyone who heard him.
"It really was... a nice day," he finished, though a small uneasy flicker still lingered in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Yuki’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly. He wasn’t a man who jumped to conclusions, but the way Felix’s tails twitched, the way his gaze kept slipping away, the way his sentences felt too neatly wrapped... it all rose a quiet suspicion in him. Beside him, Aine felt it too. A mother didn’t need explanations; she sensed the small tremble in her son’s voice, the tiny pause in his words, the way he clutched his blanket like it was a shield.
But she didn’t ask.
Instead, she reached forward and gathered her little fox cub into her arms, pressing a soft kiss to the top of his head as if she could smooth away whatever worry he was hiding. Her delicate fingers brushed through his hair, moving lovingly over each soft strand, and Felix let out a tiny exhale as his body relaxed against her.
Her cub was so beautiful, she thought. His pretty eyes, his smile, his fluffy tails curling protectively around him...everything about him was precious. Whatever he was hiding, whatever he was scared to tell them... she would wait. She would give him warmth first, safety first.
