Chapter 514: Chapter 514.

Astra Von Astral stood tall, radiating an aura of calmness and pure authority.

At the moment, he floated calmly in the void.

The void rippled.

Streams of dark flames shot out of his mouth, headed towards a nearby asteroid.

The nearby asteroid, the size of a planet, turned into ashes on coming into contact with the streams of dark flames.

He had become a rank 7 supreme stage galactic level lifeform.

He didn’t know what was happening back in the Astral Empire. As he had silently abdicated the throne and left everything to the imperial adviser.

He just wanted to focus on having an epic showdown. If possible, his last, with Kailen Darkhaven.

"I hope he won’t let me down."

After this, his figure flashed, and he disappeared.

---

In a residence in a high end district of the Astral Empire capital, two individuals were seated in a flamboyant hall, talking warmly.

"Way to announce your return, kid. Reclaiming Atlantis in one fell swoop," Colonel Boro Darkhaven chuckled and tapped the young man’s shoulders.

Kailen smiled. "Good to see you too, grand uncle. And congrats for breaking through the supreme stage galactic level. Anyway, are you on leave or something?"

"No, I’m on a break, a permanent one. A rank 4 supreme stage galactic level powerhouse has been deployed to the Shattered Sector," Boro said as he reclined his back on the sofa. "I need to rest. Too much blood. I need a breather."

"You mean..." Boro intervened before Kailen could land. "Yes, kid. I quit. I’m tired. I haven’t seen my wife and kids in a long time," Boro added. "Oh, by the way, they are from the Arman Empire. No matter how hard I tried to convince them in the past, they just wouldn’t move to the Astral Empire."

"Oh, it’s the first time I am hearing about them."

"Well, forgive your old man. Anyway, when are you going to tell me you are of royal blood? Had that old man not called me to tell me he has secured a place in the royal estate for my wife and children, and that relatives of his grandson had to be treated with respect, I would never had known."

Kailen mused in realization.

It seemed his maternal grandfather didn’t want to reveal Kailen’s identity to the public without Kailen’s permission. But, he had managed to find out through research that someone connected to Kailen was living in the Arman Empire, and they were the family of Kailen’s granduncle. After that, he decided to grant them a royal status and have them move to the royal estate. That was very considerate of his maternal grandfather.

"So, I suppose you will move there too?" Kailen asked, downing a cup of whiskey.

"Why shouldn’t I? I’m retired. Plus, I miss them," Boro said.

Kailen nodded. "True. Happy for you, old man. But, I’m quite curious about your retirement."

"Well, usually, the military will not just issue an early retirement, especially now that the war is very intense. One can get some sort of short-term leave. Even with that, it’s not always guaranteed.

I didn’t even apply for it.

But I badly wanted it. It was just that I thought I could not have it. That was until HQ called me back and asked me if I wanted a permanent leave or a short leave. It sounded strange, but I agreed to take a permanent leave and never step foot on the battlefield again, since I was looking forward to that."

"You don’t care about who pulled the strings?" Kailen asked, a bit intrigued.

"Why would I? It’s most likely someone you know after all. It’s not like anything you do will shock me anymore," Boro replied.

Kailen chuckled. "Well, I may have mentioned something about you to Excellency Concima during a video call I had with him last week, right after cleaning up Atlantis."

"Don’t tell me..."

"Yeah, he definitely pulled the strings for you."

"But how did you know I needed a break?"

"Take a guess?"

"You daring brat."

"Hehe. Is a thank you too much to say, old man?"

"Tsk. You wish. But seriously, thanks, kid," Boro said with a smile. His pupils reflected Kailen giving him a warm nod.

"Anyway, I hope those at the Sacred Sea Secret Sect, or whatever it’s called, are fine?" he asked.

"Yeah, they are good. Just spoke to them recently," Kailen replied.

"I suppose they plan on staying there until whatever is happening with the vimodial contractors in the low tier Civilisations cools down?" Boro replied.

"The non awakeners will probably be staying there permanently, and may only venture out for exploration purposes. As for the awakeners, like Old Ha, Caelthas, Starlight, Nick, Shawn, and others, I don’t really know what plans they have for the future," Kailen said. "They will most likely be returning to participate in the war, especially when some of them are leaders over organisations and conglomerates. At the moment, they have become very strong. Each one of them is at the rank 1 supreme stage galactic level.

I don’t know what the Sacred Sea Secret Sect did to them. But whatever training they went through really worked out for them."

Boro added, "I am not really surprised about Caelthas, Starlight, and Nyk and Shawn, as they were almost at the cusps of breaking through to the supreme stage galactic level.

I’m rather surprised by the sudden leap in the strength of Miranda’s and Phila’s parents. To think they’d catch up to these monsters and break through to the same level as them. It speaks of their serious potential. It seems the Sacred Sea Secret Sect also went all out to help them in their training because of your maternal grandmother. She really is considerate and cares about you. You made the right choice to give her and the old man another chance."

Kailen nodded to Boro’s words. "Mmm."

Just when they were chatting at the moment, a sudden notification appeared before Kailen.

It was from Lawrence.

The Arman Empire was under full enemy invasion. The enemy numbers were overwhelming.

"Grand uncle, I need to make an early trip."
