Master, Your Wife Has Become a Super Star Through Fortune-Telling-Chapter 111 - 112: Water Ghost Haunting
[It makes me laugh every single time I see the streamer make these people eat their words!]
[Anyway, I get it now. The streamer is definitely a big shot.]
[That’s for sure. I could tell just from her sharp tone!]
[Anyone else who talked like that would’ve gotten their ass kicked by now. The streamer, on the other hand, is the one who kicks ass.]
At that moment, Master Liu had just hung up the phone, thinking only about finding a chance to suck up to Su Nian.
However, just then, another call came in.
"Hello, is this Liu Jingjun? We are calling to inform you that several of your recent social media posts constitute slander. Please delete them immediately, or we will be forced to take action!"
[The streamer’s prediction was spot on!]
[Honestly, Master Liu was in the wrong from the beginning. The person he was talking about never agreed to a reading. He glimpsed one little thing and blabbed about it on his platform, but the problem is, he doesn’t have the streamer’s actual skill to back it up.]
[Yeah, being inaccurate is one thing, but not many people believe in this stuff these days anyway. Of course normal people would think he’s just spreading rumors!]
[Even I didn’t believe it at first, but after watching the stream, I think I have to believe a little. But I only believe in the Heavenly Venerate.]
Master Liu agreed without hesitation. "Mhm, mhm, of course!"
This was the other party’s planned strategy: first, notify him and demand he delete the posts. If he refused, they’d sue him!
But Master Liu had already consulted a lawyer to learn the proper script and how to handle the situation. He promptly deleted all his posts, issued an apology, and then shut down his account.
The other party was waiting for him to defiantly refuse, but they never expected him to have already deleted his posts so quickly.
And that apology of his came out so smoothly, it was as if he’d rehearsed it beforehand.
The other party: I feel like something is off about you, but I can’t quite say what.
Master Liu, for his part, knew it was precisely this shameless, thick-skinned approach that had allowed him to learn what little he knew.
The moment he had everything sorted out, he put on a sheepish smile. He wanted to ask Su Nian if she would take him on as a disciple; he’d be grateful if she taught him even a fraction of what she knew.
[This guy’s got a lot of nerve!]
[The streamer is a true master!]
[I bet his fans are totally confused, but this is great. Master Liu lost a ton of followers, and no one believes him anymore. He got what he deserved.]
But Su Nian just gave him a detached glance.
"Alright, that’s all for today’s stream. See you all tomorrow at the same time!"
With that, she ended the stream without a second thought.
Time for bed!
Su Nian rubbed her eyes and went to the bathroom. She took a moment to admire her own devastatingly beautiful face in the mirror before turning on the faucet.
Clear tap water trickled out. Su Nian rinsed her mouth, then wet a washcloth, planning to give her face a quick wash before bed.
But the moment the washcloth touched her face, Su Nian felt something was wrong.
The once clear, clean water was now tinged with red.
’A real horror movie cliché. Next, the lights will start to flicker.’
And the faucet suddenly turned on full blast, water gushing out cheerfully.
Su Nian looked at the red smear on her face where the washcloth had touched it.
Her expression changed...
Meanwhile, the faucet continued to flow on its own. First a finger emerged, then, bizarrely, a wrist, followed by an arm.
Looking at this Water Ghost that so blatantly defied the laws of physics, Su Nian decided she didn’t need to be polite either.
Time to roll up her sleeves and get to work!
She grabbed the arm that had just emerged from the faucet.
Su Nian, for her part, was also a marvel who ignored science, Newton, and the Pythagorean theorem.
She grabbed the pale, slippery arm, twisted it around a few times with a flick of her wrist, and wrapped it around her own arm like a rubber band.
Then, mustering all her strength, she started to pull!
It was a tug-of-war! HEAVE! HO!
Su Nian’s strength was no joke. Soon, the faucet was enduring a torment it was never meant to bear. Slowly, a body, and then a head, was squeezed out.
The Water Ghost inside the faucet was stunned. It wasn’t ready. It had only planned to give Su Nian a little scare for now, then properly emerge from the toilet or bathtub later when she used the bathroom.
But now, Su Nian had pulled it out with her bare hands.
The ghost shrieked shrilly as, first, a complete, pale arm, and then the round top of a head, were unscientifically squeezed out of the faucet.
Immediately after, a twisted, pale face came out of the faucet with a POP, appearing in Su Nian’s luxurious sink.
But that wasn’t enough!
Su Nian sneered and kept pulling!
The large head popped out, followed by its torso, arms, and legs, until finally, its pair of pale feet were yanked free as well.
Its pale, bloated face was now pressed against the cold surface of the sink.
And its dry, greasy hair was held firmly in Su Nian’s hand.
Su Nian gave a hard tug, forcing the ghostly face to look up at her. It awkwardly squeezed out an ingratiating smile.
’Oh my god, there’s a monster here!’
’She actually dragged me right out of the faucet with brute force.’
The Water Ghost wore an obsequious expression, its eyes filled with utter confusion, as it and Su Nian stared at each other.
Scaring people from the water had always been its specialty—until someone dragged it out.
This was a little awkward.
The Water Ghost looked at Su Nian, its face a mixture of confusion and fawning, as the two of them stared at each other, wide-eyed.
Then, the corner of Su Nian’s mouth curled up into a stunningly beautiful smile. The red bloodstain on her face became its perfect adornment.
Her smile at this moment even had a hint of sinister horror to it.
The Water Ghost shuddered, instinctively wanting to dive into some water to escape, to crawl back into the faucet.
But its hair was clutched tightly in Su Nian’s grip. How could it possibly escape?
Having its hair stream out of a faucet was a scare tactic that could make a grown man shriek like a screaming chicken.
But now, held in Su Nian’s hand, that same hair had become the very thing she used to control the Water Ghost.
Su Nian snorted, yanked it up by the hair, and lifted the entire ghost into the air like a little chick.
She sized it up as if it were a piece of merchandise.
Or perhaps, she was considering which part of the ghost would taste the best!
Right now, the Water Ghost was small, pitiful, and helpless as it dangled from Su Nian’s grasp.
It saw Su Nian squinting as she looked it up and down, as if calculating how to get a good price for it.
The Water Ghost was dumbfounded. It stammered, "I... I pulled the wrong one just now. Please forgive me, okay?"
Su Nian just gave a menacing grin, not saying a word.
’Forgive it?’
But Su Nian had already tied plenty of things in knots. It just wasn’t interesting anymore.
Then she saw the mop hanging by the toilet, and she nodded slightly.
The Water Ghost panicked even more.
’Why are you nodding? What are you going to do!?’
But before it could voice its question, Su Nian started stretching its body. When she found it wouldn’t stretch, she stepped on its feet with one of her own and grabbed its head with one hand.
She vowed to stretch it to 2.8 meters in ten seconds flat!
