He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 513. Payback 2
Kailen’s perception stretched outwards. In a moment, the whole of Atlantis was within his perception.
He saw every movement, every conversation, every activity.
He didn’t activate his shadow sense. He didn’t even activate his elemental mirroring.
A glint flashed through his eyes. At the moment, Salarsa was currently feeding on a group of humans and elves like a fanatic. She looked extremely deranged.
Kailen’s gaze was calm. His gaze stretched elsewhere. Several vimodial contractors at the rank 7 supreme stage ascendant level were at various places in Atlantis. They were doing their own thing.
At this moment, a zither appeared in Kailen’s hand.
Then, he begun to play.
A melody rung out. It was smooth, soothing, yet dreadful.
Naturally, the melody drew the attention of several individuals in Atlantis.
This was not just because of the melody. It was because of what was happening wherever the melody passed.
The melody contained the spiritual power of a rank 3 runesmith. Bodies were falling silently, all color and life draining from their eyes. The tune was almost insidious. The spiritual power travelling through the tune slowly gripped their consciousness. They would then have a feeling of some sort of tide swallowing them whole. That would be last thing they would experience. Then, they would fall to the ground, lifeless.
It started with beginner stage galactic level vimodial contractors. Several alarms blared. This was no ordinary tune. Where the hell was this coming from?
Then intermediate stage galactic level lifeforms started falling too, from rank 1 to rank 7.
This was definitely an enemy. How could they have invaded Atlantis? Teleportation gates were heavily guarded.
Several holograms appeared in front of several powerhouses. Not even a single of them did not know this fellow. Kailen Darkhaven. Behind him was his group of friends, each nonetheless dangerous.
Was he playing some sort of zither?
Was this guy stupid? Why would he come here with such few people to attack?
He had disappeared three years ago. Did he think whatever training he had embarked on would be enough to reclaim Atlantis?
Did he think they were a joke?
"How did he manage to get into Atlantis?"
Salarsa was not like the other supreme stage galactic level vimodial contractors.
Her alarm bells screamed danger when she saw Kailen Darkhaven. This guy was not the fly that had slipped through her fingers and escaped Atlantis three years ago.
He was dangerous.
He needed to be killed as soon as possible.
But something in her screamed to her that she could not do it alone.
Several rank 7 supreme stage galactic level vimodial contractors shot out of different places, headed towards the figure calmly floating above, playing a tune.
The moment they appeared, a light smile tugged at the edge of Kailen’s lips.
At the moment, Charles was secretly recording everything, from when Arnold killed those vimodial contractors in the bar, to what was happening now. No one in the group knew that he was recording everything. He had used his Mr Allknowing persona to personally stream the video live, and it was starting to trend. Across the empires, several individuals watched in silence. Shock, disbelief, tears, relief. Those whose families and loved ones had died in Atlantis. Those who had lost those dear to them during invasions. They watched. With silence. No one cheered. Their loved ones were dead and would not come to life. But at the moment, they felt some sort of emotional connection to Kailen Darkhaven’s actions. They knew he had lost a friend, Ross Kadmen, who was also the father of his friend, Arnold.
He was not doing this for the empire. It was personal. But nevertheless, they couldn’t help but feel like they were the ones inflicting pain on the enemy when they saw Kailen Darkhaven. It was strangely... satisfying. The comment session of the feeds were quiet. Across the low tier civilisations, no one said a word or typed a comment. Their eyes were completely glued to the video they were watching.
Kailen kept playing the zither, then the spiritual power in the tune intensified. Before the rank 7 supreme stage galactic level vimodial contractors could even come closer to him, several of them revealed lifeless expressions and fell. They were dead.
They could not even scream. His spiritual power, travelling through the zither tune had killed them all.
Kailen was unstoppable.
Even his friends were shocked. He didn’t even use any combat ability. He didn’t use elemental mirroring or affinities.
He didn’t even use his shadow armored form. He didn’t even mobilize his shadow creatures. He didn’t even use his Asura Enlightenment Physique. Just spiritual power, and a zither.
Could anyone in the low tier Civilisations challenge this guy? Even if he didn’t go all out?
Kailen’s tune, full of his spiritual power, kept eradicating the rank 7 supreme stage galactic level vimodial contractors. The sight was chilling, domineering, and unbelievable.
Anyone that tried approaching him fell. Shock turned into disbelief, and disbelief turned into fear.
Some turned to run. But they still fell and died. They had unbelievable and expressions of fear on their faces as they died. How was this possible? This was the last questions they asked themselves before their consciousness was swept and overwhelmed by the spiritual power of Kailen Darkhaven before they died.
Salarsa was full of fear.
Why was Kailen Darkhaven not attacking her?
Why was he killing everyone around her and leaving her alive?
She knew she could not escape. There was no need to escape. There was no point. If she tried, it would not work. She was also a rank 3 runesmith. But her instincts screamed at her that if she tried launching a spiritual attack on him, she would die before she realized how.
Salarsa made a grim decision.
She sighed. So this was it huh. She had lived, commanded armies, and enjoyed power.
"My consciousness would be erased and my body would be taken over by my vimodial the moment I get to the dao level anyway."
Salarsa chuckled.
She would fucking self detonate herself with Kailen Darkhaven and his cohort. There was no way she was gonna die alone.
If he thought she was some sort of spectacle he would leave for the last and torture and humiliate for show, then he was wrong.
However, before she tried, the tune stopped. The zither disappeared.
A poison gas spread over. The poison had seeped through every area of her body.
There were no physical changes around and on her body. But she felt herself grow extremely weak. Her universe energy reserves ran completely dry.
That’s right. This motherfucker was a dangerous Black Flask. There were rumors of how his poisons could make opponents become non awakeners.
So he was a rank 3 Black Flask Alchemist now huh?
What the hell had happened to this fucker during these three years?
At the moment, she felt completely weak. She suddenly remembered the times where she was a street rat before she became a vimodial contractor. A complete weakling.
This was actually worse. She had become a non awakener.
And she was weaker than a non awakener.
Kailen Darkhaven’s poison was eroding her cells slowly. Maybe she should have stayed a street rat. What a pathetic way to go.
Then, Kailen stood.
Each step Kailen took caused her to shudder.
Everyone of Kailen’s friends watched with calmness as Kailen moved.
They knew how Kailen felt now.
They knew it because they felt Arnold’s sadness. His father was gone.
And the killer of Arnold’s father could not just die a simple death, especially not when Kailen was the executor.
Kailen squatted, then held her face.
Salarsa even micturated herself the moment Kailen’s gaze bore into her.
She felt like she was looking at an abyss.
A poison flask appeared in Kailen’s hands.
Kailen’s gaze was calm. A light smile tugged at the edge of his lips.
"Don’t worry. We are going to have just a little bit of fun. Just open your mouth and drink. Should be easy, right?" His voice was calm.
The moment Kailen spoke, he poured the poison in the flask into Salarsa’s mouth.
Initially, the poison felt like water in her mouth.
"Tasty, right?" Kailen said.
Right after Kailen’s words, Salarsa let out a guttural scream. The scream sent chills across several spines.
Slowly, her skin was being eroded. Her face was turning extremely pale. She looked extremely sickly, and greenish substances appeared around her body.
After a few moments, Kailen fed her some sort of antidote that reverted her complexion back to normal.
Her screams died down.
"It’s fun, right?" Kailen smiled.
After that, he fed her another poison. The pain was worse than that of the previous one. Salarsa had never been in more pain than before.
Kailen would feed her an antidote, then feed her another poison. After the fourth time, Kailen stared into Salarsa’s lifeless eyes. She was broken inside. She could no longer scream.
Her eyes were hollow.
The audience from across the empires sucked in a breath of cold air.
Kailen Darkhaven was extremely ruthless.
To Kailen, there were certain enemies he would not just kill. He would kill them psychologically. He would break them emotionally, piece by piece, until there was nothing left on the inside. A normal death was too easy for them. And to Kailen, Salarsa fell into that category. And honestly, was breaking enemies of this caliber in such a manner not fun?
Kailen smiled.
He turned around, headed towards his friends.
Then, Salarsa’s face morphed into something akin to a large greenish color. The final embers of the poison were acting.
Her head blew apart. And the rest of her body followed.
Arnold looked at Kailen with gratitude.
His words said everything. Kailen simply nodded.
The remaining vimodial contractors in Atlantis were shaking. They felt extremely powerless. After what Kailen Darkhaven had just done, they knew they were extremely powerless.
They couldn’t move. Not because someone was stopping them. They had never known this much fear. It was paralysing fear.
Then, several runic creatures appeared after Kailen simply performed some runic movements with his hands.
Griffons, lions, eagles, rocs, whales, amongst others.
They shot towards every nook and cranny of Atlantis, killing every being the Time Dilation Artifact hinted to Kailen was a vimodial contractor.
The captured humans, elves, Atlanteans, and individuals from other races who had been made breeding slaves watched everything with nostalgia.
Were they really free?
Kailen Darkhaven had reclaimed Atlantis. And he had made it look so simple.
But that was the catch. It was not simple. It was not easy. Everyone knew how strong the enemy was. The Astral Empire had recently repelled the enemy forces of Atlantis after the vimodial contractors from Atlantis tried to invade the capital at a great cost of empire troupes.
But a single person had reclaimed Atlantis. And he did it effortlessly. No flashy show of skills. Not even the appearance of his shadow creatures. Not even the use of his elemental energies and affinities. Not even the use of his two monstrous physiques.
What did this mean?
How strong was Kailen Darkhaven?
