Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 530 - 454 She’s bleeding (second update)
Seaside Villa
Yi Luowa parked her car in front of a villa at the address provided by Park Shunyan.
From a villa across the street, Park Shunyan watched her, confirming she had indeed come alone, before picking up the walkie-talkie again.
"Take out the weapon on you, leave it in the car, and come to Villa No. 88."
Yi Luowa pulled out a silver gun, threw it onto the car, and walked quickly to the front door of Villa No. 88.
Park Shunyan scanned the surroundings once more before finally opening the door.
Yi Luowa shot him a cold glance. "Where’s Huo Li? I want to see her."
Park Shunyan’s expression instantly darkened.
Yi Luowa caught the change in his face and raised a hand to brush the stray hair off her forehead.
Park Shunyan’s gaze locked onto her hand with unbroken intensity, and his expression softened slightly.
Yi Luowa realized she had successfully brought out his true persona as the dominant one. "Take me to see Huo Li, and then, I’ll fulfill all of your demands."
Park Shunyan nodded and led Yi Luowa into a bedroom.
Upon seeing Yi Luowa, Huo Li frantically shook her head, tears streaming down her face in twin rivulets.
This man was terrifying—she was scared that Luowa would get hurt.
Huo Li’s tears felt like knives stabbing Yi Luowa’s heart. Her eyes turned red, and tears began to fall uncontrollably.
She wanted to untie the ropes restraining Huo Li, wanted to remove the tape over her mouth, but as soon as she took half a step forward, Park Shunyan grabbed her and yanked her back.
"Don’t go any closer!" The voice was distinctly not Park Shunyan’s.
Yi Luowa swallowed her tears and looked up at him. "She’s just a helpless woman. It’s me you want. Let her go first."
"Once you fulfill all of our wishes, I’ll let her go." As Park Shunyan spoke, his hand reached toward her waist.
Yi Luowa glared at him and slapped his hand away.
"Just checking if you still had any weapons on you," he explained.
Yi Luowa held back her anger. Fortunately, his hands found nothing on her and withdrew.
"Park Shunyan, let’s go outside and talk." Yi Luowa looked at him sincerely. She knew that only by separating herself from Huo Li could she create an opportunity for someone to first rescue Huo Li.
Park Shunyan obediently followed her out the door.
Once in the living room, Yi Luowa took a seat. She needed to calm herself down as quickly as possible. Only by staying calm could she respond rationally to any sudden developments. The man in front of her wasn’t a single person—he was the aggregation of more than a dozen personalities. Yet she, as of now, was only one person!
"Park Shunyan, I want to speak only to you, your true self," Yi Luowa said softly.
Park Shunyan nodded and slowly sat on the sofa across from her.
"You loved your mother very much?" Yi Luowa raised a hand to brush her hair again.
Park Shunyan stared at her hand for a moment before silently nodding. "When my mother passed, I was only six. Most of my memories are blurred, but the one thing I clearly remember is her hands. Your hands are just like hers—soft and warm."
"Do you remember the first time we met?" Yi Luowa softened her voice as much as possible. She needed to buy Tong Airui more time for the rescue plan.
"I remember." Park Shunyan smiled slightly. "You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, aside from my mother."
Yi Luowa curled her lips into a faint smile. In a child’s eyes, their mother is always the most beautiful—a sentiment she could understand.
"That day, I didn’t notice your hands. But later, when I visited your home, that’s when I saw them. Your hands are even more beautiful than your face!"
"To be precise, my hands look more like your mother’s hands. I can tell that you were very close to her."
Park Shunyan wrapped his arms around his head and curled up on the sofa. He didn’t respond for a long while.
Yi Luowa wasn’t in a rush. She calmly unbuttoned her collar. "It’s already late autumn—why is it so hot in here?"
Park Shunyan looked at her with terror-filled eyes. "Hot?! Every night, my mother comes to me in my dreams. She tells me she’s hot, surrounded by fire. She says it’s unbearably hot—burning!"
Yi Luowa frowned slightly. "Alright, don’t get too worked up. I don’t feel hot anymore."
Park Shunyan stared at her unblinkingly. "You’re really not hot anymore?"
Yi Luowa nodded.
Suddenly, Park Shunyan stood up, agitated. "You’re lying! How could you not feel hot when surrounded by fire? Mom, do you know why my car always breaks down? Because I’m afraid of gas stations—I don’t dare go there! Every time I step near one, I see you engulfed in flames!"
Yi Luowa stood up as well. "Park Shunyan, calm down. Look at me—I’m not surrounded by fire. I’m not burned to death. I’ve always been by your side. Every day as you grew up, I was there—I never left..."
"If you were always by my side, why didn’t you come save me when that vile woman was torturing me?" Park Shunyan’s gaze at her was filled with sorrow.
Yi Luowa shook her head in grief. "I did come. But your body houses too many personalities—they drove me away every time."
Park Shunyan stared at her in astonishment. "You really came?"
Yi Luowa nodded. "I even kept the toy you loved most as a child, wanting to personally give it back to you."
As she spoke, Yi Luowa pulled on a red string hidden beneath her collar.
"Don’t move!" Park Shunyan’s face instantly twisted fearfully as he barked at Yi Luowa.
Reluctantly, she lowered her hand. "Park Shunyan, where are you? Mom’s here—why are you hiding from me now?"
The fierce expression on his face was briefly overtaken by anguish, only to revert back to calm moments later.
Seeing his true self resurface, Yi Luowa gazed at him with "compassion." "I’ve brought your favorite childhood toy. Do you want it?"
"I do." Park Shunyan extended his hands like a child.
Yi Luowa smiled faintly. "Yan’er, do you remember it—a golden toy pistol? As a child, you’d run around the house with it all the time..."
Park Shunyan shook his head blankly.
Yi Luowa huffed in mock annoyance. "If you don’t remember, I won’t show it to you."
"Mom—please! Give it to me. Maybe seeing it will jog my memory."
Being called "mom" by a grown man made Yi Luowa feel utterly repulsed. But for Huo Li, she endured it.
Despite her disgust, she smiled warmly and drew the red string again, revealing a small, ornate golden toy pistol.
Park Shunyan’s face lit up with a smile as he looked at it. "I can’t clearly recall my childhood, but seeing this makes me like it a lot. It must have really been my toy... Don’t fall for her tricks!"
With a sudden shout, his outstretched hand jerked back.
Yi Luowa glared at him and yelled, "Go away! I want my son! I want my Yan’er!"
Her voice was fierce, yet the moment it ended, she broke into sobs. "I want my son—just give him back to me. I only want my son!"
"Give me the pistol!" Park Shunyan stretched out his hand. "Hand it over, and I’ll give your son back."
Yi Luowa, trembling all over, reluctantly took the toy from her neck and held it tightly. "This was my son’s toy. Please don’t take it from me."
"Give it to me! Otherwise, I’ll kill your son!"
Suddenly, Yi Luowa raised the pistol and pointed it at Park Shunyan. "If you dare kill my son, I’ll kill you first! Give me back my son—give him back!"
In that moment, Yi Luowa was like a mother who had lost her child—completely unhinged. She trembled violently, evoking a heartache that pierced deeply.
"Mom—"
"Bang—"
The world went silent in an instant.
Yi Luowa looked down at Park Shunyan, who had collapsed to the floor, and raised the pistol again.
"Bang—" The door to Huo Li’s room was suddenly kicked open. Tong Airui and Mi Chenxuan stormed in.
"Honey, you’re too bold! What if you’d gotten hurt...?"
"I’m fine." Despite her trembling hands, Yi Luowa smiled. "Thankfully, everything went according to the script. If there had been even a slight deviation, I wouldn’t know how to handle it."
Tong Airui hugged her tightly. "The villa is surrounded inside and out by our people. Even if there had been a deviation, nothing would’ve happened to you. Honey, you’re so clever—you kept playing the emotional family card, which forced Park Shunyan to suppress the other personalities in his body. Otherwise, with all the commotion we caused, his special-forces personality would’ve detected us."
Yi Luowa chuckled at his words. "Watching more movies really does help."
"Mm, from now on, I’ll watch them with you." Tong Airui smiled, ruffling her head.
"What about Huo Li?"
"Number Eight, carry her out."
Yi Luowa and Tong Airui spoke at the same time.
Yi Luowa smiled faintly. "You handle the wrap-up; I’ll go check on Huo Li. She must be terrified."
Tong Airui grabbed her hand. "Huo Li’s not inside."
Yi Luowa’s face lit with delight. "You’ve already rescued Huo Li that quickly?"
"We didn’t dare waste time..." Tong Airui patted her head apologetically. "Let’s get in the car first. I’ll explain on the way back."
Yi Luowa’s smile froze. "Something happened to Huo Li, didn’t it? How could anything happen to her? I just saw her—she was fine!"
"She’s bleeding... She might suffer a miscarriage."
