Your Beloved Sweetheart Is Online-Chapter 53 Giving You a Serious Punishment_1
Gu Shaocheng ignored her.
She stood there, wobbly, waiting indefinitely for even a single-word response from Gu Shaocheng. Her heart grew colder by the second.
"I understand now; you’re still angry. Thank you for everything all these days." She bowed deeply and turned to leave.
He no longer liked her, no longer treated her well, and she had no reason to stay, right?
For some reason, she felt a twinge of reluctance in her heart.
Gu Shaocheng was having soup. As he lifted his head, he saw Chenxing preparing to leave. His soup spoon dropped into the bowl with a "ding," revealing his obvious anger.
Before Chenxing could leave the dining room, two bodyguards at the entrance blocked her way.
So they were not letting her leave?
Chenxing listened attentively, hoping to hear even a single word from him. But there was nothing - she couldn’t leave. She turned back to look at Gu Shaocheng, who was still sitting there with his bowl, moving elegantly and calmly, but not hurrying to eat his soup.
The butler approached and whispered a reminder: "Hurry up and apologize to the sir." Then spoke up louder, pulling her along: "Sir, Miss Ye hasn’t eaten yet. She’s hungry."
As the peacemaker, the butler led Chenxing back to the dining table and specially pulled out a chair for her.
Lowering his voice again: "Apologize to the sir, eat your meal quickly, and don’t upset him any more."
Chenxing’s nose tingled. The man’s face was slightly cold as he drank a sip of his soup and continued to eat at his leisurely pace.
Like a deflated balloon, she hesitated a long time before opening her mouth: "I’m sorry, I was wrong."
But even she didn’t know what she had done wrong. She genuinely disliked being bossed around, and she detested even more being backstabbed.
"You’re wrong?"
At this point, Gu Shaocheng finally glanced up slightly, slowly putting down his chopsticks. He didn’t ask her what she had done wrong, and he had no interest in hearing her explanation. He said directly: "Good. I’ve always been clear about rewards and punishments. Since you also understand your mistake, I will seriously punish you once. I hope you will seriously reflect. I reminded you on the first day you arrived that I like obedient girls. If you’re not, learn to be. It’s clear that you didn’t take my words to heart."
Wiping his mouth with the dinner napkin, he continued: "Tell me, how long have you been here?"
"Th...thirty-nine days."
"Then I’ll punish you for 39 days, starting from after you finish this meal." Gu Shaocheng finished and added: "Enjoy this meal well. For the next 39 days, you won’t have the opportunity to eat."
Chenxing’s eyelashes trembled and her back was cold with sweat. She didn’t understand what his punishment was.
In fact, from the moment he started to speak, she had the subconscious urge to escape. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
days without food, a person would die long before that.
All of a sudden, she lost her appetite and grew more anxious.
But no one explained to her what the punishment was. Gu Shaocheng finished his lunch, ignored her, and left the dining room.
...
It took her a good half-hour to finish her meal. As she dawdled out of the dining room, someone was waiting at the entrance to guide her.
Where was she going?
She felt uneasy.
Finally, she was led by two people to the door of a sealed room. They gestured for her to enter, and then the door was shut with a bang. Looking around, Chenxing saw that the room was small, about 10 square meters, with only a bed, a table, and a chair. On the table was a thick book of "Principles of Accounting," next to a note with flamboyant handwriting - Gu Shaocheng’s own: "Copy the book, the whole thing!"
