Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1119: You Want Me to Give You a Discount?
The ringtone continued, Cecilia Dunn answered the call in front of everyone, after hearing something from her mother, she whispered, "Mom, I’ll be back soon."
Jocelyn Morgan watched her hang up, Cecilia Dunn put away her phone and looked at her, "Howard Sawyer came to apologize, and he’s making a scene at home insisting on seeing me. He won’t leave until I go back."
"Let me tell you! Don’t let your heart soften and forgive him!" Jocelyn Morgan was so agitated, she almost sat up, "He went to a hotel with someone before you’re even married. What will happen after you’re married? Once unfaithful, never trustworthy!"
Her foot moved, Ian Shelby’s newly adjusted position was rendered useless, "Lie down properly."
Jocelyn Morgan snapped back to reality, glanced at Ian Shelby, and said to Cecilia Dunn, "I’m telling you, you can’t forgive him! No matter how much you love him, you can’t!"
"I know." Cecilia Dunn was a bit anxious, "Sorry, Jocelyn, I have to go back now. Call me again later."
"Go ahead, I’m fine!"
Then Cecilia Dunn bowed to Ian Shelby, "Doctor, I’m leaving this to you, thank you!" She turned and left after speaking.
Jocelyn Morgan lay back down, Ian Shelby readjusted the equipment, trying not to move her leg.
At this moment, in his villa’s kitchen, the aroma of food was strong... Vera Ford, wearing an apron, checked the time several times, estimating that Ian was already on his way home.
In the hospital.
Jocelyn Morgan had finished the scan and hopped back to the consultation room on one leg, Ian Shelby didn’t lend a hand. He was looking at the scan as he came out.
"Nothing serious, no broken bones which makes it easier to handle." Ian Shelby examined the scan carefully, "But there’s a sign of cracking, which is why it hurts so badly."
"Ah?" Jocelyn Morgan sat down in the chair, "I don’t need to be hospitalized, right?"
"I suggest hospitalization over here." Ian Shelby’s voice was gentle, "You’re not able to walk anyway, resting in bed is the best option."
"But..." Jocelyn Morgan grew anxious, thinking of her pregnant sister-in-law.
Ian Shelby leaned against the corner of the desk, arms crossed, gazing at her with well-defined features, waiting for her decision.
The girl thought for a moment, raised her eyes to meet his sight, "Listen to the doctor, so hospitalization it is."
"There’s a ward next door, you can go lie down there first." He sat in the office chair, "I’ll enter you into the system first, then give you some medication."
"I’ve heard you specialize in effective drugs?" Jocelyn Morgan suddenly grew excited, "Will it stop hurting once you apply the medicine?"
"It needs to heal too." Ian Shelby’s long, attractive fingers tapped the keyboard, smiling gently, "I’m no magician."
Then he stopped responding to her, seriously entering data into the system, "Name."
"Jocelyn Morgan." The girl originally wanted to hop out on one leg, turned her eyes and asked, "You don’t know who I am?"
Ian Shelby looked up at her, not understanding what she meant.
"I mean, we’ve met before, do you remember?" Jocelyn Morgan suddenly felt he must often forget people.
So she smiled and said, "You know Finn Morgan, right? He’s my cousin, I accompanied my sister-in-law for a prenatal checkup this morning, we have met."
"So?" Ian Shelby responded, "Do you want me to give you a discount?"
"..." Jocelyn Morgan was slightly stunned, smiled and explained, "No, no, no! Charge as you should!"
"I know working here is tough, and you earn commissions." She smiled like a blooming spring flower, "I’m not so poor I can’t afford the medical fees, write the bill however you like, price doesn’t matter!"
Ian Shelby frowned, gave her a look, then his brow relaxed, "You head over first, I’ll give you the bill to scan when it’s printed."
"Okay."
Jocelyn Morgan turned, hopped out, supporting herself by the door frame, asked back, "Left or right?"
"Right."
He spoke concisely, not even raising his head again.
