Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline-Chapter 298 First opponent

[Lucy’s POV: ]

The Epics were like actual power bars that determined the strengths one would have against their opponents and by opponents, I do not mean just the ones that one would face during a fight.

The Worldline and the system itself, a higher being’s powers also depended on the influence their epics had on the world and beyond.

’The main Storyline was like the physical body of a higher being, Epics were like their organs, and if they had any, while the Myths were like their superpowers that a physical body could use.’

That was the simplest way to describe the powers of the higher beings. But the main storylines still came before anything else. And, as long as the being existed, that main storyline would continue forever.

The things they would become either (External storylines), (Epics), (Myths), or (Lores) depending on the characteristics of the stories.

Epics, especially, are a very important part of the storylines.

Epic are the long narrative poems recounting heroic or unforgettable deeds, of individuals or certain groups recognised by a great majority of individuals.

In literary usage, the term encompasses both oral and written compositions, however, when it comes to Worldline, the epics are something that everyone hears and remembers.

When they are being created, everyone in that part of the world or at least every single being connected to the writers of the epics, or the individuals possessing some kind of connection to them and the ongoing epics would hear the epics as they are being written.

Individuals could imagine everything that was going on even without the visual representation, and in some cases, when the epics get more attention from the elements outside the range of the epic, the ranks of the final epics would increase further.

[Standing at the very front of the group their captain looked forward with a blazing resolution in their eyes. The subordinates breathed deeply as they looked around them, an unknown wrath present in some eyes.]

The beginning of an epic is always important as it attracts not just the people of the present world but also the higher beings who get notified of the formation of a new Epic and start spectating this world.

’That’s why the dramatic start where they gather together, which could only be attained after doing all the things that they had done until now, was the best opening for the epic.’

El didn’t want to accept this fact, but the way we had started things to all the things we had done until this point were perfect to highlight a simple opening like this one.

Torturing the poor creatures was not going to make the starting narration any fun and I know for a fact things would have been worse if we had done it that way.

’They were never expecting them to actually reach this sky island in the first place, much less stand in the sole sea area that was only known by a rare few who were bound by the oath to never reveal the locations for this place.’

But that didn’t really mean much to us when we already knew the changing coordinates of this place and a lot more about it than what the others had figured out after their centuries of exploration.

[Tall trees and murmurs of nature in the forest reaching them were warning them to stay where they were, to not leave that safe haven at all if they wanted to retain their lives.]

This island and the fort were much more than what met one’s eyes.

This was a special place that housed the only ancient monster present in this world, was the only moving fortress that one could claim the ownership of, and was practically the strongest weapon of this entire world.

’It was not just some naturally formed island that coincidentally possessed so much influence over this world.’

It was connected to the first conqueror of the world, a place that housed the last remaining being that actually knew Chiragya, and also a place that he cherished when he was still roaming this world.

This place was connected to him, that was how we were able to get to this place so easily.

’Anna’s special gate that she had finished a while back certainly was a phenomenal artifact that could take us to any place in this world we wanted.’

However, without the Shrine, the system that was in place that allowed us to track the current positions of this very spot in the current times, we would have had great difficulty reaching this place in such a short time.

El gave the command to her team and as soon as they received her command, the captain took his first step forward and started walking out of the area of the safe zone.

[They were fearless and they were out to conquer the fort that had never fallen since ancient times.]

Even the Grand Magic Council had to spend weeks tracking down the coordinates of this place even though their Gate artifact was connected to this place. They must have been speechless to even see them here like this.

There was no powerful mage among them that they knew of.

They already knew the individuals in the House of Clubs and their powers to a certain extent even if they did not know of their identities.

They did not know the extent of their power but they knew there was someone who could control bugs and insects, someone who could command toxins and medicines, someone who was good with blades, someone who was good with commanding the individuals, and someone who was good with magic machines.

They knew there was no super powerful mage among these thieves yet, but after this point, we knew they would consider the possibility of a mage that could not only use a structure similar to a Gate to send so many of them in that place but someone who could also broadcast everything live with those strange magical screens like we were doing right now.

’They wouldn’t think it was logical for some Skill that could do something like this to exist.’

That would leave them to think some strong mage was also colluding with us. And that thinking of theirs would benefit us greatly.

We were aiming for that.

A (True crystal tiger), the owner of the jungle and perhaps one of the strongest <AAA> rank creatures of (Level-400) plus present in this entire island. They were unlucky to have come across a creature like this one as their first encounter.

El and I were at the very back, observing every single move they were making, stealthily hiding from them and the eyes of the world.

They were the protagonists of this epic even though it was something belonging to us. It was their story and a test where they had to prove themselves.

[The ferocious tiger, made of crystals stronger than diamonds, stood with its red eyes locked on the prey below.]

It was a three-metre tall creature, twice in length and thrice heavier than the lizardman who stood with them, and glared back at the feline beast.

[The captain of the group knew the opponent they had come across was strong, very strong. So strong it could kill every one of them with just one attack. It was not something they could deal with individually.]

He signaled them as soon as the tiger moved and according to his commands, the lizardman warrior appeared at the front with a lightning-fast movement and took the brunt of the first attack from the tiger with a simple-looking shield.

Crocs was a lizardman champion, a hero holding the title of the strongest of his kind.

He could use a shield and a spear as proficiently as their captain, and the white rogue could use the sword.

He was strong, yes, but more than his strength, his endurance and defensive abilities were what granted him No.5 in this team.

[The Lizardman protected his teammates from the first attack, the rogue captain commanded the team, and in a matter of moments, they had scattered across the field.]

The tiger glared at the Lizardman, the only for in his sight, and scoffed at those who were trying to hide away from someone who did not rely on just the sight for perception.

[Tiger— a beast. It was a strong foe that had senses sharper than any wild creature of the wild forest. A creature that hunted with stealth and absolute strength. Any kind of resistance was futile against this absolute ruler.]

But... even immortality ends. What did a finite being amount to?

"Ghaaaaaaa...!"

The tiger roared and attacked the lizardman’s shield once again, however instead of throwing him away like it had expected to, his attack was blocked once again.

[The Lizardman showcased the pride of his progenitors, the absolute beings and rulers of nature— dragons. The true absolutes of this nature. And blocked the second attack of the ferocious beast.]

And as soon as he did that, the captain commanded the others against the enemy.

[The beast was stunned for a brief moment when the attack was blocked, which the master of poisons and cures grasped perfectly and used to his advantage to position the creature with the only poison that could work on a creature like this, something that was delivered to it by the child of the mother of insects, which resulted in a prolonged paralysis of the great enemy.]

Crocs, Friday, and other physical damage dealers took this chance and attacked the enemy all at once with strong techniques and skills in a kind of harmony that ultimately resulted in a powerful combination attack.

Which certainly did not kill the creature... but the attention of all the listeners was now achieved, which meant it was finally the time to start my stream for real.
