Rise of the Apocalypse Hunter With Hand Transformation Skill-Chapter 41: Level 7
It was a snake species that was typically non-venomous—it only constricted and swallowed its prey. Its body had no scales, only skin, but it was famous for its massive size: the anaconda.
As a monster, this anaconda was absurdly huge.
Its length was likely over 100 meters, and its head was so large that it could easily swallow Simba whole.
(Monster Level 10!)
Liam received the notification.
Compared to the first snake he had fought, the difference was only four levels, but the size disparity was massive.
After all, gaining a single level didn’t double a monster’s size—it usually increased by just 10% or so.
But this was an anaconda—its massive size was natural.
It was also agile and fast, especially underwater.
Of course, its weakness was its vulnerability to attacks. Its body wasn’t very well-defended.
’But... since when did this river get so deep?’ Liam wondered, confused.
As a native of the city, he had always heard that the river’s depth ranged only between 30 and 60 meters, but now he couldn’t even see the bottom.
The anaconda swam upward, and its enormous length seemed insignificant compared to the depth of the river.
’Too bad this snake isn’t a boss,’ Liam thought.
Since it wasn’t a Boss Monster, he wouldn’t get double the Battle and System Points.
However, this also meant the anaconda wouldn’t be too difficult to kill.
A four-level gap wasn’t that significant.
’Heavenly Wolf Hand,’ Liam thought.
His hand instantly transformed into one covered in silver fur with long claws.
To fight a large, scale-less monster, he thought claws were the best option.
Whoosh!
He slashed with his claw, easily even underwater.
It wasn’t just a physical strike—the claw unleashed massive, invisible slashes that divided the water into four sections. Each slash stretched over 7 meters in length.
If his Strength attribute matched his Mana, the slashes could’ve exceeded 10 meters.
Still, this was more than enough—he only needed one hit.
The anaconda’s head dodged the invisible slashes, but its body was hit.
It couldn’t fully evade—it just didn’t want its head to get struck.
Shua! Shua!
Four long gashes immediately appeared across its body, each around one meter long, gushing with thick red blood.
Wounds like that clearly weren’t enough to stop the anaconda.
Little did it know, another invisible claw appeared and slashed the tip of its tail.
The tail, being the thinnest part, was sliced clean off.
The anaconda was clearly shocked—it seemed to believe the strike wasn’t from Liam, turning its head around to search for the attacker.
At that moment, another invisible claw appeared beside its neck.
Shua! Shua!
The claw tore violently through its neck, creating a massive gash.
This time, the slash was much closer, so the damage was much greater.
The anaconda still looked confused about what was happening.
It was still trying to figure things out when its abdomen was suddenly slashed open as well.
At that point, it finally realized it was all the work of the human above.
ROAR!
It charged straight at Liam, ignoring the claws that continued to tear at its body.
It understood—if it didn’t kill Liam now, it would be the one to die.
Its roar echoed even underwater, generating a powerful shockwave.
But Liam only smiled faintly.
He transformed his right hand into an ice dragon hand.
The Heavenly Wolf Hand was no longer needed—the invisible claws continued appearing on their own.
Pointing the ice dragon hand forward, Liam rapidly froze the water in front of him.
The anaconda’s head, already close, couldn’t avoid the freezing water.
Its head became trapped in the ice—only its body could move.
With his high Mana, the power of the ice dragon hand, and the water environment, Liam’s strength was terrifying.
The anaconda couldn’t free its head and could only wriggle its long body in hopes of avoiding more claw slashes. Unfortunately, the claws kept striking from its sides.
Bit by bit, its body was torn apart, staining the river water red with its blood.
DING!
(You have slain a Level 10 Monster. You gained 100 Battle Points and 100 System Points!)
(Due to killing a monster three levels higher than you, you gain a bonus 100 Battle Points!)
(Level: 6)
(Battle Points: 570/700)
(System Points: 190)
Liam received the notification shortly after, and it made him smile.
Just a Level 10 Monster—it wasn’t hard for him to kill.
Whoosh!
The anaconda’s massive corpse turned into a ball of light, which then transformed into a large red sword.
What was interesting was that the sword emitted flickering flames—even underwater.
Liam’s eyes flickered with interest as he saw it.
The greatsword flew toward him, and then he received another notification:
(You have obtained a Tier 2 Special Greatsword with fire power!)
’Definitely special!’
Liam was impressed—and it was Tier 2.
He had seen similar weapons in the System Shop, but none were greatswords. He figured greatswords or spears must be more expensive.
Although he couldn’t choose the element of the Special Weapon like he could in the System Shop, he didn’t mind—any element was useful, especially fire, which he used often.
This greatsword was practically made for his fire dragon hand.
He stored it in his Inventory and climbed back onto Simba.
The big cat hadn’t moved since Liam jumped into the water.
It had been watching the entire battle, occasionally dipping its head into the water.
Alice and Selena, who were still riding Simba, hadn’t seen the fight clearly.
They only saw massive waves, and now the river had turned red.
Liam didn’t explain anything, and they weren’t the type to ask questions.
After that, Simba resumed swimming across the river.
After the battle, Liam noticed no other monsters came near.
It seemed they were afraid of him after he killed the anaconda.
Soon, Simba reached the middle of the river, where the current was strongest—it pushed Simba downstream even though he could still swim across.
Fortunately, there were no further disturbances—not that this pleased Liam, who wanted to kill more monsters to reach Level 7.
However, as he approached the far bank, he saw many zombies on the streets.
Some were huge—he guessed they were Level 5 or Level 6.
"Go!"
He commanded Simba.
The big cat climbed onto the wreckage of a barge.
Then it leaped up onto the street, drawing the attention of the zombies.
(Zombie Level 6!)
(Zombie Level 5!)
Liam received the notification—just as he had suspected.
He saw three Level 6 zombies, all with four arms.
Each one stood over 3.5 meters tall.
’I can level up,’ Liam thought excitedly.
He jumped down from Simba’s back, his right hand transforming into a fire dragon hand, and the Tier 2 Special Greatsword appeared in his grip.
Whoosh!
He slashed at the nearest Level 6 Zombie.
The greatsword unleashed flames that grew stronger thanks to the fire dragon hand’s power.
When the two flames merged, they formed the head of a massive dragon.
ROAR!
The flame dragon roared, causing the zombie to stagger.
Its body was slammed by the greatsword, then engulfed by the dragon fire.
The result was immediate.
The zombie was not only cleaved in two—but also burned to ash.
At the same level, Liam’s power was clearly far greater.
Still, zombies never knew fear.
Dozens of them charged at him, including the remaining two Level 6 zombies.
They each wielded giant blood-colored swords and swung them at Liam.
"Hmph!" Liam smirked coldly.
He didn’t use any complex movements—he simply slashed the greatsword and released even more fire.
Boom!
The fire exploded like a massive bomb, soaring into the air with a powerful shockwave.
Many zombies were blown apart—unable to withstand the intense heat.
Only the two Level 6 zombies survived the blast—but even they staggered and almost fell.
"Die..."
Liam threw the greatsword at one zombie, impaling it through the chest.
The other one he punched in the head—and detonated a fiery explosion.
Boom!
The zombie’s head instantly exploded.
Both were killed within seconds.
DING!
(You have slain three Level 6 Zombies. You gained 180 Battle Points!)
(Level: 6)
(Battle Points: 730/700)
(You have reached Level 7. You gained 7 Attribute Points!)
Their deaths brought a string of notifications.
Liam now had to allocate 7 newly earned Attribute Points.
Fortunately, he had already made a plan—so he didn’t hesitate.
(Level: 7)
(Battle Points: 30/800)
(System Points: 190)
(Strength: 5.7) +2
(Defense: 5.2) +2
(Agility: 5.8) +2
(Stamina: 7.7)
(Vitality: 4) +1
(Mana: 9.3)
Liam didn’t look at the stats for too long.
He jumped back on Simba’s back.
"Let’s go," he said.
"I hope you don’t keep stopping like this unless you have to," Selena said suddenly.
She gave him a disapproving look.
Liam was too lazy to respond to her.
It was indeed his fault for doing other things while he was on a mission to escort her, but for the sake of his power, he couldn’t just focus on the mission.
Enhancing his power remained his top priority.
