The next morning before opening, Susan visited Alayna once more and she was happy as she left while holding a piece of paper no one knew what was on it.

Susan couldn’t help but envy Alayna seeing the queue that had already formed outside but it’s not like envy could feed her, it was better for her to come up with ways of improving so that one day in the future she will also have a lot of customers.

Susan took the paper back to her bookshop and closed the doors, there weren’t many customers coming to her shop anyway she might as well just study the paper and see what can be done at the moment.

Susan found a comfortable chair to sit on and opened the paper she had been given. When she started reading, she just couldn’t stop herself. The ideas they talked about previously were explained further in this paper and they made perfect sense.

"I guess I have been living inside a well all this time, how could I even fail to think of something like this?" she couldn’t help but reprimand herself after reading this.

Susan sighed helplessly as she stood up, "since it has come to this, I guess I should take a look around the shop and see where to start and how to go from here."

Susan’s shop was very simple actually, there was the bookstore where all books were kept and the back where her house was. It didn’t make sense to have a separate residence when the shop has that already.

"According to Alayna, I need to change the outlay of the shop first to make it more attractive. More interesting books are needed and I need to do some advertising as well, so where should I start?"

Susan looked around the messy shop and a headache assaulted her, "it really needs some work."

Susan decided to get straight to it right away, some things didn’t require money but just manual labor, so she mustered some energy and began to work.

She looked for several boxes first she stored at the back and began to pile them in the boxes without categorizing them. the job was tiring but after three hours she was done and very tired.

Susan took a break, drank some water, and ate some breakfast since she hasn’t eaten anything, she was simply too excited that she forgot about it.

After eating, she was energetic and continued once more. Susan was practically doing some thorough cleaning and it was such hard work for one person since she couldn’t afford to hire anyone to help her.

While Susan was in the middle of sweeping and pushing her furniture around, she received some visitors. When she went to the door, she wasn’t surprised to see her neighbors.

Claire looked at her and shook her head seeing the status she was currently in, "dear, why are you moving things around? You can’t probably be moving out, right?"

Susan chuckled sheepishly and answered, "I will never move, I just decided that it was time for a change. Talked with Alayna and received some great help. You should consult with her when you have time, you will really benefit."

Susan didn’t want to hide another person’s effort, so she happily shared what Alayna had done for her. Only two neighbors had come, Claire and the blacksmith, and being curious as they were, they asked Susan about what happened and Susan was happy to share it.

The two didn’t hold her from doing her work but actually helped her to clean. With more hands helping her, Susan shared with them about everything that she talked about with Alayna, after all, it wasn’t like they will steal her idea since she was the only one among them interested in books.

While these people were busy with their own thing, Alayna was also having another good day. As business was good, she was very busy and it made her so crazy she wanted to rest.

When it was five, she was relieved as it was time for her to close. She wasn’t opening until eight or 24/7, after all, she was just one person but maybe in the future, she will try something like that.

Maybe she will earn more and get the shop to upgrade and return home soon. Alayna closed the shop and went upstairs for a shower; she was simply so tired and she also failed to do what she wanted to do.

After a shower, she left the shop, and the alley and headed for the hotel where she first lived at when she arrived in Kezig.

When she arrived at the reception, a few people recognized her as they were frequent visitors to her shop. Alayna greeted those that greeted with a warm smile on her face before asking for Nancy.

"She is not here today; she took some days off."

"Do you know where I can find her? It’s very urgent."

The lady Alayna was talking to looked at her for a while before nodding her head. Alayna received Nancy’s address and thanked the lady with some silver before leaving.

It didn’t take long before she found Nancy’s house.

Nancy who was home resting was shocked to see Alayna at her house, she began to wonder what the other was doing at her house.

"Miss Alayna, how…what are you doing here?"

"What? Am I not welcome here?" Alayna teased the young lady as she approached.

Nancy flushed with shyness seeing how the older lady was teasing her, "no, it’s not like that. I am just a bit surprised, that’s all. please, come in."

Alayna smiled as she followed the flustered Nancy inside her house. The house wasn’t very big but at a glance, one could tell that it was a rental, Alayna saw some other tenants apart from Nancy.

Nancy’s room was very neat and tidy, there wasn’t much that was special but Alayna liked how organized the other is.

"I am not here to take too much of your time. I just wanted to check with you for a part-time job and see if you are interested," it was getting too dark and Alayna didn’t want to be out for long.

Nancy couldn’t believe what she just heard, "this…you want me to do something for you?"

"Why, are you not available?"

"No, no, no, it’s not like that. I am just surprised that’s all. what is it that you want? I will do my best to help you with it," Nancy has positive feelings toward Alayna so she was willing to help the other.

Because of Alayna, she made a lot of money, and that money greatly helped her in ways one couldn’t imagine. The only way she could show her gratitude before was by buying something from the shop which was something that she couldn’t afford all the time as Alayna’s products despite being good were very expensive.

But now she can do something about it and hope that in the future, Alayna will think of her when something good comes again.

"I have a story that I need to be copied, it is still ongoing but I believe that you can do a good job," Alayna went straight to the point.

"Ohh, it’s just that. I can do that, just give it to me and I will do a good job," hearing that it was just this, Nancy was relieved.

At some point in life before, she made money by doing this kind of job and she didn’t mind doing it again, especially for someone like Alayna.

"How many copies do you want?"

"I don’t want you to be tired and at the same time, I want at least fifty copies this time and while we are at it, if I am satisfied with your job, I can consider hiring you at my shop, that’s if you are interested," Alayna laid out her cards.

Nancy was dumbfounded by this, her body was trembling and joy was filling her whole body and soul at the moment, "are you for real?"

"Yes, so are you interested?" Alayna smiled seeing that Nancy has taken the bait.

"Even if it’s one hundred copies, I will still do it. When do I start?"

"You can start anytime but the sooner you are finished, the better. Just tell me how much you need."

By the time Nancy respectfully sent Alayna away, she was still in a daze, she never thought that one day she will be blessed like this.

With just a word, Alayna gave her a pouch full of silver and left a simple instruction, "I need you to use only the best material, if the money is not enough, just tell me. come tomorrow and collect the sheets that you need to copy."

As it was very late, Nancy couldn’t go and buy the papers or the pens to start writing, so she decided to calm her shaking heart to wait for the next day.

On the other side, Alayna was finally at ease as she returned home as another problem was solved. For the first volume, Alayna decided to have ten chapters copied first and see how people will react to them.
