TRANSMIGRATED WITH A HYPERMARKET SYSTEM-Chapter 87 - 86: A FRIEND
The next day, Nancy arrived early to pick up the printed documents Alayna had prepared. Seeing the quality of the papers, Nancy wondered why she couldn’t use just this paper than to buy the papers she was about to go and buy.
But some questions shouldn’t be asked, so she quietly took what she came there for and left to get the other business.

As for Alayna, it was business as usual as she attended to customers sincerely and diligently. At around lunch, she closed the shop as she chatted with her kids.
She wanted so badly to tell them about her plans but she didn’t want to disappoint them, so she was going to do a trial first and then do it in style and give her baby a big surprise.
After lunch, the shop resumed business as usual and on the other side. Just like this, days passed and Susan was seeing some progress.
The shop was finally cleaned and sparkling. And for the past few days, she had been busy creating a plan on how to turn all those ideas into reality but no matter how much she tried, she just couldn’t get a grasp of it.
Her head was already aching because of this and she decided to visit Alayna once again and seek her help.
She did that the same night when Alayna was about to close shop.
Alayna welcomed Susan with open arms, after all, she had seen how busy the other had been for the past few days.
"How can I help you today?" with a friendly smile on her face, Alayna asked Susan who wore a distressed expression on her face.
"Umm, I am sorry but I am lost at the moment. Do you mind helping me once again?" Susan shyly requested while playing with her fingers.
"Sure, what do you need this time?"
"Umm, can you help me to design my shop? I will pay you a consultation fee for it," Susan was very embarrassed at this moment but she was already at her wit’s end.
Alayna smiled beautifully at the younger woman, she had been thinking about how to breach the topic of her book, and seeing Susan now, she knew what she wanted.
"I will help you but I don’t need any commission fee. In return for all the help that I have given you before and will give you in the future, I need you to sell some books of mine for a commission. Your shop will be the only shop distributing these books and any other that I may come up with in the future. Can you do that?"
Susan never expected for Alayna to move that fast, remembering how her daughter was a writer, she understood where the other was going.
"Sure, as long as you help me, I will sell everything for free. You don’t need to pay me anything as a commission or anything. Just help me!"
Alayna was someone who likes trusting in others and hated to use contracts to bind people but sometimes human hearts were so terrible that one needs to be very careful.
"Sure, I will go with you and check your shop space then see what I can do. Tomorrow we will sign a contract to avoid any future problems," Alayna stated.
Susan understood so she didn’t make things difficult for Alayna and agreed.
Alayna followed Susan to her bookshop and checked the place for a while. She took out her phone and took several photos and videos before leaving.
Susan who was left behind was bewildered after what had happened earlier. She had never seen such a miraculous gadget before and to think that something like that even exists, she decided to be a good girl and do her best to not betray the other just in case she gets tempted.
After all, she is just human and it is normal to be tempted and betray those that stood by you when you were in need.
Alayna busied herself once more this night by searching online for suitable designs for a bookshop and she found one. She drew a sketch and noted down some important information for Susan to use.
When she was done, she drafted a contract for her to sign with Susan before going to bed. The next day, Susan happily received the designs and signed the contract before leaving.
And business was back to normal again after that and in just a few days, her day off arrived. Without the need to open the shop, Alayna finally had time to go and explore, something she set aside the other time when she suddenly had a long talk with the neighbors.
Alayna left early in the morning to avoid anyone stopping her, she didn’t want her neighbors to come to her when she has plans.
Alayna feeling happy about this day, let out a small drone she bought to do a Livestream for her. She took out her phone for a short time and typed on her page.
[LAYNA: I won’t be able to talk to you today but I will be doing a live stream. I recently went to another continent for business, so I will be showing you the city where I live. Cheer out for me and I will read your comments later.]
After leaving this post, she returned her phone to her storage ring and went on her way.
"Today, I will be checking the marketplace after I have some breakfast at a random breakfast stall and ...…." Alayna couldn’t just let her viewers see the view when she is quiet, so she began to chat with them although there won’t be any response.
Alayna found a breakfast stall and ordered some porridge with vegetables. And after that, she began to check the clothing shops, after all, clothes were very important to anyone.
Alayna took her time picking the clothes and accessories. After a couple of hours, she was done and decided to check another place as well.
She had been hearing a lot about a certain jewelry shop that sold unique and expensive pieces and she wanted to check them out. She barely wore a lot and it didn’t hurt to dress once in a while.
She found the shop quickly and managed to enter inside. The place wasn’t crowded but with a glance, she could tell that only the rich and wealthy could afford to be in this place.
Just looking around made Alayna feel inspired again. It wasn’t easy to cater to the poor and the commoners, the division is something that will never be erased so embracing it sometimes was good for everyone and business as well.
This is why Alayna adopted that crazy pricing policy in her shops and seeing this made her to note down another idea for further speculation in the future.
"This is good stuff!" she complimented as she looked at the sparkling and shiny things.
"You really have a good eye," a female voice chipped in on the side making Alayna whose eyes had been eyeing a certain headpiece turn her head to check who was talking to her.
When she looked at the person who was talking to her, she couldn’t help but hear ’money’ in her head. There was a way rich people dressed and this lady she was looking at was definitely very rich and powerful at the same time too.
"Umm, when something is good, one needs to appreciate," sensing no hostility from the lady, Alayna said.
Alayna began to check this lady who was talking to her and to be honest, the other looked very beautiful and okay.
She seemed to be in her early thirties, with no acne or blemishes on her skin and the clothes on her body screamed riches. The jewelry she was wearing somehow looked like the same that was being sold in the shop.
"I think I like you, what is your name? my name is Selena and I own this shop," Selena happily introduced herself.
Alayna looked at the woman and was baffled, "are you not afraid that I will befriend you because of what you had just said?"
Selena laughed out loud upon hearing that, "I have a good eye too and believe in myself. One look at you, I could tell that you are not someone like that."
"What makes you think like that?" Alayna wondered why this person was so confident.
"You weren’t looking at the jewelry with greediness but just pure admiration. For someone to act like that, it means that you have seen enough of it already and don’t really care much about it. And this fascinates me a lot, you see I love designing a lot and ..."
If Alayna had known that the beautiful lady was a chatterbox, she would have just brushed the other before getting in such trouble.
She didn’t even get to look at the jewelry pieces but was dragged to the office where she was given delicious snacks and juice to munch on while she listens to Selena talking.
At the end of the day, she decided to listen seriously as this was someone else’s dream and besides learning can be done in many ways and it was for free anyway.
Selena was very happy to find someone who was willing to listen to her on the first day of the meeting. She didn’t know why she liked this Alayna from the word go but she was willing to find out more in the future.
If the friendship didn’t work then it will be her loss but in meantime, she was willing to give it a try.
Seeing the passion of Selena, Alayna was very moved that by the time Selena was done expressing herself, she smiled at her and gave a compliment, "since you have taken me as a friend, I am willing to lend you an ear in the future and I am looking forward to seeing your creations. After everything I have seen in the short time I arrived, I loved it so much and was wondering if you can show me more."
How can Selena not be happy hearing this?
