To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 66: Why does Byul suddenly hate Hwa?
Chapter 66 - Why does Byul suddenly hate Hwa?
Surely, Chin-hwa noticed from the beginning that this guy was not Kang-woo, but his emotions were a wreck when he was so drunk out of his mind and in the presence of someone else.
"Hey, why are you crying again?" He asked, frantically trying to stop his tears but they only flowed faster.
Chin-hwa wouldn't stop crying.
"Let me take this for first, you must be hot." Ji-hoo said and took off his beanie, only to discover that Chin-hwa was way more adorable without the beanie.
He looked at the beanie in surprise.
"Wait, is this a magical object or something? How was it able to hide your cuteness so well?" He asked but Chin-hwa only cried more.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Please, stop crying." He knelt in front of Chin-hwa.
"Where is Byul?" Chin-hwa asked. "I want Byul."
"Are you looking for a star?" Ji-hoo asked but Chin-hwa shook his head.
"No, my Byul." He said and Ji-hoo's eyes fell on his pouted lips.
His lips were so full that when he pouted like that, he made him recall the lips of a baby duck.
He ended up laughing by mistake.
"Why are you... Laughing?" Chin-hwa asked and got angry. "Are you laughing at Hwa because Byul is gone?"
"No, I'm sorry. I would never. I laughed because..." He paused. "Anyway, I'm sorry. It seems you're missing someone important to you. Is he a friend of yours?"
He got up from his squatted position and put his legs over the seat of the swing, facing Chin-hwa as he sat next to him.
"Byul was my friend." He said. "He was my one and only. I loved Byul. I love him."
'So, it's a matter of heartbreak.' he thought and scratched his face. "Then, what happened to Byul?"
"Byul left." Chin-hwa said, his eyes growing sadder by the second. "Byul left Hwa. Byul hates Hwa."
'Wow, he cries in such a cute way. He's almost like a kid, and that face... He should be making headlines on the school forum page, shouldn't he? He's an Omega, no doubt. I can smell his pheromones because his emotions are in disarray. His pheromones are sweet.' he thought.
"Why does Byul suddenly hate Hwa? Why won't Byul or anyone tell Hwa anything? Hwa love Byul." He kept crying and Ji-hoo got up from where he was sitting.
He stood in front of him and pressed Chin-hwa's head to his stomach. He looked like he was in so much pain.
"Did Byul know how you feel?" He asked but Chin-hwa shook his head.
"No, I never... I never said anything." He said. "Because Byul wanted to be brothers."
"Ah, that's a tough case. You were brother-zoned before you could even say anything. It must hurt, I'm sorry." He said, patting Chin-hwa's back.
Ji-hoo didn't know why he bothered helping an Omega he met for the first time and he was even comforting him.
'Maybe it's fate.' he thought. "You said your name was Hwa?"
"Chin-hwa." Chin-hwa said, pushing his head back.
"So, Chin-hwa, what if Byul comes back one day, will you finally tell him how you feel?" Ji-hoo asked but Chin-hwa shook his head.
"Why not?"
"Byul will hate me and I don't want Byul to hate me." He said and sniffed. "If I confess and Byul looks at me with disappointment, telling me he only saw me as a brother and nothing more... I don't know what I'd do."
"Yeah, that'd really suck." He said. "Then, how about this, when that day comes, how about I help you?"
"What?"
"I'll help you get together with Byul. I'll even go as far as making him jealous; that way, he'll come to you himself, and you won't even need to confess your feelings first." He suggested and Chin-hwa's face lit up.
"Really? Would that really work?"
"Well, it works a lot in the movies." He scratched the back of his neck, darting his eyes away. 'What am I doing making promises to a person I just met? But...' he glanced back at Chin-hwa who looked as excited as a kid with a candy stick. 'He looks so cute to resist.'
"Thank you, Ji-hoon." Chin-hwa said but Ji-hoo shook his head.
"It's not Ji-hoon. It's Ji-hoo, okay?"
"Ji-hoo." Chin-hwa repeated and he nodded. "So, from now on, Ji-hoo and I are friends, right? I'll introduce you to my other friends later and..." Chin-hwa started blabbing, talking about a bunch of things.
He was no longer crying and talking about Byul.
"And Chin-hwa," Ji-hoo called.
"Hm?"
"If it turns out that Byul likes someone else and doesn't like you that way, what will you do?"
"I..." Chin-hwa's words were caught as his eyes streamed tears again. "I don't know."
"It's always better to think of both possibilities. If he doesn't want to be with you, I will help you so you don't get hurt too much, okay? I'll help you move on." He said. 'I have no idea why I'm saying this but I guess the future will tell.'
"Will you, really?" Chin-hwa asked, staring at him with his teary eyes.
"Yes, but let's hope that does not happen, okay?" He patted his head. "Now, tell me your address. It's almost 10."
"Almost ten? I will get locked out of the dorms." He got up all of a sudden and his head hit Ji-hoo's chin. "Ouch!"
"Ah, that hurt."
"I'm sorry," Chin-hwa said, looking pitifully at him.
"Well, it doesn't hurt so much. How about you?" He dropped his hand on Chin-hwa's head. "Does your head hurt?"
"No, it's okay." He said, touching his head. "I don't feel anything."
"That's good then. Alright, I'll take you home."

They exchanged contacts, and while Chin-hwa acted like he had sobered up, he was still under the influence of alcohol and the next morning, Chin-hwa woke up with no recollection of what had happened.
Yet, he got a text that said, 'I think it was worse than I thought. I'm ashamed to call myself a P.E major', and a picture of a bruised chin.
"Who is... This?"
