Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game-Chapter 282: Partial Awakening [ 5 ]
I glanced over the courtroom, then focused on one person in particular, Kai.
He seemed very amused by what I had done, and if that wasn’t enough, he decided to humor me by walking up to the very front and then stopping beside the chair I had previously sat on.
"This is quite the roleplay. I don’t remember the last time I did something like this. So what now? What is it that you want to know, dear judge?" he asked.
I tilted my head.
"For starters, you can fuck on back to your seat. The rest of you can leave. I don’t know why this turned into some shitty public hearing."
Snapping my fingers, I lifted several hundred demons out of their seats, startling them. They tried to resist, but they were unable to do anything but watch as I flew them out of the courtroom and locked the door behind them.
Just like that, the numbers had decreased drastically. Now, alongside Ren, there was one more Demon Emperor here. I couldn’t recognize him.
But he seemed a little bit weaker than Ren. Was I imagining it?
Either way...
"Humph. What a rude thing to say to someone you just gestured to come up to the stand," Kai replied, crossing his arms. "How about this then, ask me a question, and I will answer."
He can’t take a hint, can he?
"Why did you snitch, for starters?"
"Hm? Oh, I was just bored. I wanted to see how a fight between that Sword Saint and an actual Demon Emperor would go. Too bad I wasn’t able to see it, since your woman died, and that Sword Saint got snapped out of existence. As for you? Well, you were in a coma for a bit."
Right.
"That’s it, then. Go back. Ren, can you come forward?"
Ren rolled his eyes at my declaration. "We’re not going anywhere. On another note, we’d like to propose a deal to you. Become the Demon King of Wrath and join our cause. If you do that, I promise those you care about will remain alive."
I scoffed in annoyance. Did he not know what my answer would be?
And as if reading my expression, he added:
"We’re not as desperate as you make us out to be. In fact, we could do very well without you. It’s just that I believe there’s someone you should meet before you make up your mind." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Someone I should meet...?
It only took a moment to have a certain thought in mind.
"The oracle?"
"Oh?" Ren smiled. "Yes. The oracle. You must meet with the oracle before making your final decision. I know you dislike us, and I know for a fact you’ll try to kill the oracle. But even then, I hope that at the very least, you hear out what she has to tell you."
"..."
"Fine."
I’ll hear ’her’ out.
What do I have to lose anyway?
It wasn’t like I could just escape from here if I wanted to. It was too difficult.
But if I could at the very least take the Demonic Oracle with me and then unleash the full force of Divine Energy I had stored in my body, then I could most definitely pull a very big move here.
Was that too much...?
Whatever the case may be, Ren seemed to have heard enough as he stood up and approached me. Not only that, the other Demon Emperor approached me as well.
"He’s Godfrey. He’s a very religious man, and he’s one of the few people who can keep others in check. He will accompany you to meet the oracle, and he will also make sure you don’t pull something funny."
Godfrey nodded at me, and I nodded back. Then, I descended from the judge’s seat and stood beside Godfrey.
I hadn’t noticed it from above, but he really is a massive lad. His muscles were at least twice the size of mine, and his chiseled jawline, as well as long golden hair, made him look like some sort of royal knight.
He looked pretty fancy, to say the least.
Ren was pretty scrawny in comparison.
"Great. You two look like the best of buddies. Well, I won’t keep you here. If anything, I don’t care quite that much. Once your talk with the oracle finishes, you must give your answer to Godfrey. He will decide whether you live or die afterward."
His smile widened.
"Again, Amon. We might be cooperative, but we’re not pushovers. You’ll either join us or be dead by nightfall. So make sure your decision is something you’re willing to live by no matter what happens."
With that, he turned around and walked back to the stands, sitting down beside Morr. Speaking of Morr, he had just been staring at me since I entered. He hadn’t uttered a single word either.
It was ominous, but it really did confirm where his loyalty truly lay.
Nonetheless, I put all these gazes aside and began following after Godfrey. Since he was that much taller than me, a single step for him needed two steps from me to catch up.
It looked kind of ridiculous. Hell... it made me want to get jacked too. But then again, Clementine said she hated when men were overly buff. It wasn’t practical, and their egos were far too high.
...Or at least, that was what she managed to gather from all those hentais she had read.
Heh.
"Amon, could I ask you a question?" Godfrey said out of nowhere. He stopped and turned to me slightly. "What exactly prevents you from using the full potential of Divine Energy? I have heard many rumors, but not enough achievements to show for it."
I tilted my head. "I instantly killed a Demon King with my Divine Energy. Isn’t that enough of a feat? I could probably do that to you too if you’re not careful."
Godfrey paused for a moment, then scoffed.
"I highly doubt you would even be able to put a scratch on my body."
