To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 64: I’m giving you one more instance to believe that your rut is coming
Chapter 64 - I'm giving you one more instance to believe that your rut is coming
Just as Omegas went into heat, Alphas had their rut.
An Omegas heat often induces an Alpha's rut, so when an Alpha tries to get rid of an Omegas heat with intercourse, they have to be careful, lest they go into a rut, and the strong desire to breed that Omega would occur.
It was stated that once an Alpha in rut and an Omega in heat have sex together, unprotected sex, that Omega was bound to conceive.
In a way, it was as simple as saying that an Omega in heat that was ready to conceive might push an Alpha into a rut, and an Alpha in their rut, with a strong desire to impregnate an Omega, could force an Omega into heat with their pheromones.
They could even go as far as marking that Omega to be forever theirs.
But that being said, Alphas don't easily go into a rut on their own, and not an Alpha who was just in his early 20s at that.
Kang-woo stared at Ji-hoo who had warned him about his rut.
"And why would you think it had to do with a rut?" He asked Ji-hoo.
"Well, as I said, if a perfectly healthy Alpha such as yourself suddenly starts loosing control of your pheromones control, then it might be a rut coming." Ji-hoo explained and also got up from the chair. "I'm only telling you this because it seems you're just as confused and you hate hurting Chin-hwa, right? You don't mean it, so I won't take it against you. But do be careful around him."
"I don't need you to tell me to be careful around Hwa. I'm always careful around..." His words choked back as he recalled what he did just a few minutes ago.
He lost control and wasn't careful.
He squeezed his fists.
"I got it." Kang-woo said and turned around, ready to leave when Ji-hoo placed his hand on his shoulder. "What is it now?"
"One more thing," he said and then glanced around. The eyes on them were growing. "Let's sit down for a minute. This part is important."
Kang-woo was reluctant. Why did he have to sit and listen to his words?
But one could never be too careful. For all he knew, there was a lot of truth in his words.
He sat down and folded his arms.
"Do you know, when an Alpha is about to go into a rut, they start to exert dominance over the Omega they care about the most? The Omega they have the highest attraction toward." He said. "And they don't want any other Alpha near them."
The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.
Kang-woo's eyebrows furrowed. What was he getting at?
"I know we just met and I have nothing against you. Likewise, you. You have nothing against me but you're probably on guard since I'm an Alpha, right?" Ji-hoo pointed out. "And that fact alone, makes me out to be a threat."
"What are you getting at?"
"I'm giving you one more instance to believe that your rut is coming." Ji-hoo said. "And also, I know you care about Chin-hwa a lot, since you two grew up together, but the one you're dating is Yun-tae. So, shouldn't your desire be centered around him? Given that you chose him over Chin-hwa."
Kang-woo slammed his hand on the table and glared at Ji-hoo.
"And there it is. The truth that you choose to hide." He said. "The one you care about more is Chin-hwa, isn't it?"
"That's because we grew up together and he's..."
"Then can I date him then?" Ji-hoo interjected. His words made Kang-woo's eyes grow in rage.
"What did you say?"
"Since you insist you don't have such feelings for Chin-hwa, I'm sure you won't have a problem if I go after him, right? I'm just telling you this because you're like a 'brother' to him and he is like one to you." He mentioned and those words made Kang-woo calm down a bit.
He remembered. He remembered that he said those words so he had no right to be angry. Yet, he could not sit still while this guy decided to go after Chin-hwa.
"I'm interested in Chin-hwa." Ji-hoo said. "I like him a lot but because I have no way of knowing how he feels about me or what his thoughts are on dating, I can't rashly jump in, can I? But I'll try my best to get him to notice me. After all, if my efforts are genuine enough, he will come to see my feelings, right?"
"If only it were that easy." Kang-woo muttered and then grabbed his head.
Ji-hoo's words had scrambled hair thoughts and his head was throbbing.
Ji-hoo stared at him. He looked like he was going mad.
"Kang-woo, let me ask you a question," Ji-hoo said. "If your rut kicks in today, who would you want to spend it with? Who would you call over to your side? Whose name would...?"
"Enough!" Kang-woo yelled at him. "Thank you for your assistance but I don't want to hear another word from you. I'll take care of myself and you..." He got up, picking up his coat. "Take care of your own problems."
He walked away with Ji-hoo watching.
"He's so reasonable." Ji-hoo thought to himself, gently tapping his fingers on the table and bidding his time. "Guess he won't come back. I figured."
He rested his back on the chair, his mind wandering a bit and his eyes turning hazy.
"But at least I got to know one thing. He is definitely the one who broke Chin-hwa's heart. I don't know if it was thanks to ignorance on both sides or stupidity on Kang-woo's side. The feelings are there, so what's stopping them? What stopped them?" He shifted his gaze to the window. "In any case, he still strongly denied the attraction and affection he has for Chin-hwa. This means he has no plans of being with him, right? Then, can I take this chance to confess?"
He wondered but he wasn't confident. He was an Alpha, yes. But Chin-hwa wasn't one to like someone just because they were an Alpha or whatnot. He also had this huge wall built up and blocking anyone from coming anywhere close to him.
"Can I really get into his heart? I want to be with Chin-hwa. I want to... Love him." His gaze turned soft. "I want him to love me the way he loves that guy."
