To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 63: Chin-hwa looks like he’d do well as a sweet’s model

Chin-hwa came back with their orders and Ji-hoo in his company. Ji-hoo seemed to have parted with his friends to spend more time with Chin-hwa.

They got to the table but Kang-woo did not raise his gaze. He was scared that if he did, he would lose control of his emotions and subconsciously release his pheromones again while glaring at a threat.

"So, Ji-hoo will be joining us. Is that okay with you guys?" Chin-hwa asked and while Yun-tae was absolutely okay with it, Kang-woo kept his gaze out the window with no words said.

Chin-hwa decided to take it as a silent approval nevertheless.

"Right. Yun, can you sit next to Kang-woo? Ji-hoo and I will sit over there." He suggested and Yun-tae was about to stand when Kang-woo said,

"There's really no need for that." He turned his gaze to them. "I want to face Yun-tae so Hwa, sit here," he patted his side. "...and that guy can sit there."

Chin-hwa was stunned. He said something reasonable, but...

"Then, I'll sit here instead." Ji-hoo chipped in and sat next to Kang-woo. "Chin-hwa can sit next to Yun-tae. That way, we can all see ourselves, right?"

Kang-woo's fist tightened under the table but he managed to smile and said,

"Alright. Let's do that."

So, Ji-hoo and Kang-woo sat next to each other while Chin-hwa sat next to Yun-tae.

"The cake parfait is always so extraordinary.x Yun-tae exclaimed to Chin-hwa as he took a tip with his spoon.

"Yeah, and I can't have enough." Chin-hwa said, his mouth nearly watering and Yun laughed.

"But I doubt it compares to the ice cream in Cal'Air, right?" Yun-tae added but Chin-hwa shook his head.

"Ice cream and cake can't be compared." He said. "One has a cold sweetness that melts in your mouth with a certain chill and the other," he took one bite of his cake, and the melting expression on his face displayed how much he enjoyed it. "...just melts in sweetness."

They all watched him and then he realized he had been too immersed in the sweetness.

"Ah, I..."

"Pft," Kang-woo laughed. He laughed softly, but it was long and heart-fulfilling. "Even now, you still love cake the most." He said and Chin-hwa blushed.

Once again, he pushed down his beanie. This was embarrassing but he was laughing so well.

"How could I not love it?" Chin-hwa said, barely hiding his face. "It's so sweet."

"Yes, it is."

Yun-tae watched them in surprise. Just now... They bonded well over Chin-hwa's love for cake.

So, was the secret to their reconciliation sweets in the end? Then, they should probably come out for cake parfait a lot more in the future.

"Chin-hwa looks like he'd do well as a sweets model." Ji-hoo suddenly said, stating his own opinion. "After all, he looks so sweet."

His words got them laughing but not Kang-woo. Yes, he knew Chin-hwa was sweet but he didn't need someone like him to say it out loud.

'Hah, someone like him?' Kang-woo realized his thoughts were a bit distorted. 'And just what is wrong with him? What's going on with me? Why do I feel this rage in my heart? Why am I so jealous?'

"Kang-woo," Yun-tae called, snapping him out of his thoughts and he looked up to find Yun-tae innocently pointing at his parfait. "Aren't you going to eat up?"

Kang-woo looked at his parfait and then closed his eyes. It must be his insecurities acting up.

He was probably scared that someone would come forward and take Chin-hwa away from him. But at this point... If Chin-hwa did decide to date someone other than him, what could he possibly do?

All he could do was watch. But the thought of Chin-hwa doing all that stuff with someone other than him, being beneath them, moaning to their touch, and locking lips together got him so enraged that...

"Kang-woo!" Chin-hwa yelled his name, and he snapped out of it, opening his eyes to see that, once again, he was releasing his pheromones.

Chin-hwa had this uncomfortable look while staring at him that he had to stand up and get away from him as far as he could.

Yun-tae followed after him.

Kang-woo was confused. Why were his emotions in such disarray that he could not even control his pheromones anymore?

What was going on with him? The thought of Chin-hwa being with another man made him so angry that he lost his senses, but... Did he even have the right to get mad?

"Hey, get a hold of yourself." Ji-hoo said to Kang-woo and he raised his head to glare at Ji-hoo.

This all started after Ji-hoo made an appearance. The presence of a male Alpha in Chin-hwa's life threatened his position as his life partner.

If Chin-hwa got interested in them, there would be nothing he could do. So, he was weary.

"Are you glaring at me right now?" Ji-hoo asked. "But I don't remember doing anything to you," he drew closer to him. "So, can you tell me what is it about me that upsets you so much?"

"Please, leave me alone." Kang-woo said, clenching his fists tighter. "This has... Nothing to do with you. It's my problem."

"Hm, you sure?" Ji-hoo relaxed his back on the chair. "Cause it seems it only happens when I'm around."

Kang-woo gritted his teeth.

He made the mistake again but this time, he did not dare to run after Chin-hwa.

He took out his phone and texted Yun-tae.

*Are you okay? I'm sorry I lost control earlier.*

*It's fine but are 'you' okay?* Yun-tae responded and Kang-woo sighed.

*I'm fine. I promise. I just got lost in some random provoking thought. Anyway, is Hwa alright?*

*Yeah, he's fine. He's sitting next to me and we're at the fountain.*

"The fountain." Kang-woo muttered. Where was that?

"You wanna go to the fountain? I can take you there." Ji-hoo so graciously offered and Kang-woo turned to him.

"No, it's fine. I think I've done enough damage for one day." He said and got up. "I think I'll head home now."

"Sure. Suit yourself." Ji-hoo watched him as he walked away and recalled something. "Oh, right. I heard that once a perfectly healthy Alpha starts to lose control of his pheromones, he should get his rut date checked."

Kang-woo stopped and turned his head around.

"Rut... Date?"
