Chapter 98: Feed my Curiosity

Lady Gisella sat in front of Princess Eleanor with a smile on her face.

"It seems like you really would be shifting to the Beaumont’s mansion." Lady Gisella said with a smile on her face. Here is moving towards Princess Eleanor’s legs, which were wounded, "How is the Princess feeling now?"

Princess Eleanor leaned back on the chair, "The chief healer is trying to heal me but I do not think it is working. Anyway, I have been puking out everything recently so I cannot even drink medicine."

Lady Gisella could understand what Princess Eleanor was going through. The chief healer was someone who was dedicated to the system. He knew what he was doing but somehow Lady Gisella felt like he was desperate. "Did they make you drink a lot of medicine?" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"They even wanted to make sure that I was vomiting so Priest Erasmus ordered me to eat. I think once he saw me vomiting he understood that maybe I was not getting better." Princess Eleanor said with a smile. She looked at Lady Gisella as her eyes shone in doubt, "Something is wrong with them.." Princess Eleanor murmured under her breath.

Lady Gisella laughed at Princess Eleanor’s words. "Was Priest Erasmus there?" Lady Gisella smiled as she asked in a normal tone. Somewhere she knew that the Priest would be there but she never imagined that Priest Erasmus would be the one who would take a step up and walk towards a Princess’s room.

"Is Lady Gisella trying to get information from me?" Princess Eleanor smiled. Her eyes sparkled like stars as she blinked her eyes. "I thought we were on good terms."

Lady Gisella was shocked for a brief second before she laughed wholeheartedly. It must have been years since she was enjoying herself.

It was true that Lady Gisella and Princess Eleanor were getting along. Once they had a chance to travel together in the carriage they understood each other better. Although they were not the best of friends they would share everything with one another. They were the ones who were friendlier and enjoyed one another’s company.

"Yes, we are on good terms but old habits die hard. I cannot change it so fast. Anyway, I was just curious." Lady Gisella asked as she looked at Princess Eleanor.

The Princess was still looking pale as she tried hard to portray a healthy image. "Well, let me feed your curious mind first and maybe you could do the same for me. So Priest Erasmus is here for all the sessions. Whenever the chief healer comes, Priest Erasmus is with him."

"Maybe he is worried," Lady Gisella murmured under her breath and Princess Eleanor could not agree more. "Anyway, I heard that every other Princess will leave for the Royal Palace the day after tomorrow so the Crown Prince will be arranging a dinner banquet."

"Is it necessary?" Princess Eleanor asked. Her eyes showed her disbelief. The Crown Prince cannot be wasting resources so casually. She had seen the way the kitchen had prepared food for their brunch. More than half of them were untouched and wasted. "Do they even donate the food?"

Lady Gisella understood Princess Eleanor’s question. "Well to be honest initially I had my doubts too, but the temple does donate the remaining, untouched food to the poor. Anyway, the money is spent through the Royal treasury."

Princess Eleanor nodded her head. Although she could understand it she still felt it was useless.

"Isn’t the schedule fixed? The Princess will be attending a banquet when they reach the Royal Palace and then when the second prophecy is known, there will be a ball arranged." Princess Eleanor asked. She could not understand what the Royal Family was trying to do.

"Well, the Crown Prince wants to get to know everyone personally. I think he wants to create a bond." Lady Gisella sighed. She knew that it was true, after all, her sources were never wrong.

’And I heard this dinner banquet is specially arranged for Princess Eleanor,’ Lady Gisella looked at the Princess with a smile. ’Maybe the Crown Prince wants to know the person who will be going to the Beaumont mansion.’

"Create a bond?" Princess Eleanor rolled her eyes, "From the look of it, he looks like someone who knows how to spend. Are you sure he knows how to converse with someone without flirting with them?"

Lady Gisella did not reply. She felt the same way about the Crown Prince but even though that was the case, she could not say those words against the Royalty. No matter how bad his reputation was, he was the one who would be the Emperor of the Roulux Empire.

Lady Gisella’s heart was filled with an unknown emotion. She was happy when she thought about something. ’Doesn’t it mean that Princess Eleanor is comfortable around me? She thinks of me as a person who she could share anything with,’

Lady Gisella’s eyes were filled with joy. She felt like she was one step closer to understanding Princess Eleanor. One step closer to achieving what her Lord had told her to.

"I cannot see your lady in waiting? Where did Nia go?" Lady Gisella asked as she looked around.

There was hardly any time that she could not see Nia around Princess Eleanor. And yet today, Princess Eleanor’s lady in waiting was nowhere to be seen. Lady Gisella could not understand it.

Initially, Lady Gisella thought that Nia would come back after a few minutes but she was not there. ’Did Priest Erasmus call her again?’ Lady Gisella thought. The mere thought made her curious.

Princess Eleanor shook her head in denial. "Nia is out of work." Princess Eleanor could see the question in Lady Gisella’s eyes so she continued, "Princess Vida from the Cenid Kingdom had given me cream so Nia went there to deliver some handmade soaps."

Princess Eleanor’s eyes sharpened. "Speaking of which, Lady Gisella needs to feed my curiosity now." She leaned forward as she said, "So tell me what you found."
