"You are the first ever victim of Lapsus, Aranus's unique skill. It is a skill capable of tearing your existence from the weave. Until now, your soul was divided into two, and Aranus tried his best to keep you from disappearing. I've made you whole again, but it will end soon.

You will either go back to a state of Nothingness, or I can end your misery right here and now."

James took a deep breath, putting his hand on his chest. He offered a small bow and said.

"The universe has been reset a total of five hundred and forty-four times. Things have stayed the same. Outside, Valus and Aranus are having a full-on brawl; therefore, time is of the essence.

Alearia, Princess of the Dragons, the Kind One, I need Celestial Providence, and I want you to bow down to Dominatus."

Alearia remained quiet, processing the information she had just received. The number of times the universe had been reset should be impossible, but then again, what she had been through was also impossible.

Furthermore, Valus and Aranus are fighting outside, which could only mean Valus is going to die soon. Also, what was Dominatus? Why did he want Celestial Providence? What use could someone like him have of such a skill?

She needed to hurry... Something was telling her to hurry. But there was an odd feeling rising in her chest. Something strange as she looked at that man.

No.

She answered, as she realized what it was. Her Supreme Status made her knowledgeable about many things, and it was screaming right now that this man was not good; this man is not someone you must make a deal with. Her memories were broken, but she knew one thing.

This man shouldn't be given Celestial Providence. A skill like that could only come from Celestial Blood. It shouldn't be granted to someone like him. But then again, another odd feeling came upon her.

"I see. Well then, I will kill you now."

Alearia was surprised. She knew this man would kill her, he had stated it himself before... but she didn't expect it to be so soon. She had thought he would try to convince her, or force Celestial Providence out of her.

That's it? No more talk? Strange... Why just kill me? Why not make me suffer... that, again?

James answered.

"Well, I don't really need it. Your son already had Demonic Decadence due to Aranus. I needed it to cancel it out, but it isn't a big issue. The main quest is complete, and a side quest like this doesn't matter now.

And my only friend asked me to do this. He doesn't want you to suffer anymore."

A sword of emerald green appeared in James's hand, his own crystallized soul. He approached the Golden Core and raised his hand. However, the Core reacted.

Son? Son? What do you mean?

Alearia didn't know what he was talking about. Was it a scheme to get Celestial Providence? But it didn't feel like it. Her Supreme Status was telling her something else: it was telling her to care; it was growing warmer; it wanted to give it.

"Yes, you are currently inside the soul of your own son, Alan Peccator. I created him using your soul as the foundation, along with Aranus's. It's the same way Dragons reproduce, isn't it? Although with mana instead of the soul."

Son, I have a son?

James was about to answer, but unfortunately, that was it. Her time had run out. The Soul Sea was beginning to destabilize. Lapsus was active once more, which only meant Aranus was having a hard time outside.

James sighed and stabbed the Core.

"Listen, don't resist Dominatus, obey it. If you do, there is a chance your conscience will live on. Dominatus can stop Lapsus."

'And if you do, it'll automatically acquire Celestial providence.'

He kept that in his mind. The chances of this happening were abysmally low, as a soul like hers, being consumed by Lapsus, would try to fight everything that it came into contact with. The chance of anything about Alearia surviving after this was low.

Alan's soul had been created from Alearia's, but her original soul was a separate entity infected with Lapsus that stayed inside Alan's soul core. What he was doing now was eliminating the barrier that separated them.

Allowing Lapsus and Dominatus to interact with one another. Dominatus, upon realizing the threat, would eliminate it. Lapsus would meet the only skill that existed that could resist it; unfortunately, the soul of Alearia surviving was almost impossible.

Either Dominatus would obliterate her soul as a whole or acknowledge it as something separate. It was hard to know, considering the age of the skill. Its understanding of a lot of things was low.

If it was able to differentiate between the virus that was Lapsus and the host Alearia, then Alearia, in a state where her soul had already been ravaged by Lapsus, would have to bow, or it would meet the same fate. The chances of this happening were abysmal, especially considering what her state was.

Regardless, whatever the outcome, the most important thing was that Dominatus would reverse the effects of Lapsus. Alearia would be dead, with no way of coming back, but everyone's memory of her would come back. Her father would remember her.

It was what Aranus wanted to happen. He had regretted deeply about losing control and letting the Abyss run amok with his skill; therefore, he had requested James to find a way to fix it. James wasn't able to bring the other Supreme and Mythical beings back, but he could do something about Alearia. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

'Well, guess I just got to hope for the best.'

James took a deep breath and stretched his body. He unravelled his tie, looking down at the blue that had invaded his body. It was about to reach his face soon. He couldn't fool Dominatus forever. Unfortunately, feigning obedience was a hard task to do when a skill like that was involved. Soon enough, Dominatus would fully control him.

Fortunately, he didn't plan on being there for it to happen.
