The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 34: What Are You Going To Do?!
Nicholas was working overtime at night after returning from the gay bar. He felt no trace of regret by leaving his wife behind. To him, it gave him enough peace of mind.
"NICHOLAS!" Rosa knocked the door of the study hard. "Go and get her back, I’m warning you!"
No, scratch that. There won’t be peace of mind in his life as long as ladies keep surrounding him.
He pressed the bridge of his nose as his brows furrowed. He stopped typing and leaned back.
"Mom, let me work."
"Work?!" Rosa was so angry that she laughed aloud. "Is work more important than your wife’s life?!"
"Yes," Nicholas said bluntly, not hiding the traces of indifference from his voice.
"You-!" Rosa was about to speak and scold her son some more when John, the butler of the house, came up once again behind her and said, "Madam, someone’s at the door."
"Alright."
The woman walked away, letting the young man inside the study room heave a sigh of relief.
Outside the door, Rosa quickly walked toward the main door, thinking why did the butler have to call her if someone’s there. Shouldn’t he directly speak up the name of the guest?
It’s so troublesome! She already wanted to teach her son a lesson!
The butler didn’t say a word as he led the madam to the door. Actually, he had seen through the keyhole who it was at the door, and that’s why, he thought it’d be better to call the senior madam.
How could the young madam come with the third young master of the side family?! How could this happen?
John was utterly shocked, but he didn’t show his emotions. He didn’t know what happened between Nicholas and his wife, but he deduced that they fought in the middle of the street. Knowing Abigail, she must have stomped off on her own.
A trace of disappointment flashed in John’s eyes. Mrs. Harrison started to become unpleasant in his and all the servants’ eyes.
Rosa opened the door only to receive a happy, screaming welcome, "Mother-in-law!"
"Abigail?" Rosa was stunned when she saw her daughter-in-law hugging her tight, smiling happily.
This young woman looked nothing like the person who should have been depressed after being left alone in the middle of the road. Rosa frowned. She was about to ask how she managed to return without even a credit card on her when a voice attracted her attention.
"Aunt, you’ve become even more beautiful."
Rosa raised her head and looked at the young man standing behind her daughter-in-law. Her eyes lit up in surprise. "Asher!"
No wonder the young woman was able to return so soon. It was all thanks to her nephew!
Aside from her own sons, the only person she liked from the entire family was this young man, Asher. The reason why she liked him the most was his casual attitude toward the Harrison corporation despite what her brother-in-law, Asher’s father, forced upon the young man.
Of course, Nicholas being Nicholas, was never able to get along with his cousin no matter how much Rosa tried to team them up. Instead, it was Chris who would always play with and look forward to the arrival of his younger cousin. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Sadly, her younger son again managed to slip through her fingers, running away the moment she averted her eyes. God knows now where that damned brat is hiding!
Rosa once again turned a little angry, but the strength of her anger lessened because of Asher. She plastered a smile on her face and said, "Ah, here’s my favorite nephew! When did you return?"
That’s right, how could Abigail forget about his interesting setting. Asher had been managing his business outside the country and completing his advanced degrees at the same time. So he hadn’t had time to return for the past few years, not even during the holidays since he would be busy handling his business.
He only, perhaps, returned because he had gotten his degrees.
"Just this morning, and the moment I returned," Asher smiled and pointed his chin at the young woman inside, "I heard some interesting things about my sister-in-law."
Abigail quickly made her way inside, glancing about to find her husband. Her face was full of determination to get back at the man for leaving her behind.
Tonight, she would surely teach him a lesson!
As if knowing what her daughter-in-law was thinking, Rosa said, "That brat is in his study. You can ignore him all you want. You don’t need to waste your time with him."
"How can I not waste my time with him?" Abigail’s eyes blazed with fire as she glared at the floor where the study room was located. "It’s my duty as a wife to anger him to death, isn’t it? In fact, I’m gonna make him regret leaving me in the middle of the street!"
Rosa let out a helpless sigh and said, "Abigail... You don’t need to-"
"How about I help you out?" Asher said before his Aunt could even finish her words.
The latter looked up at him in surprise. "What are you going to do?"
Abigail also looked in confusion. Her angered and determined expression vanished without a trace, replacing it with utter confusion. She tilted her head adorably and continued to glance at her cousin-in-law.
Asher, who had just wanted to irritate his cousin, felt his heart thumping in his chest. The young woman’s expression was too innocent. Was this the same woman who managed to destroy an entire lobby?
For a moment, Asher felt like this young woman absolutely couldn’t do such a thing. After all, she was too weak and naive. How could she destroy a lobby?
And if she did...
She was a complete package of contradictions. She was the kind of person who intrigued Asher the most.
Alas! She was married to his cousin. If only he had managed to get his hands on Abigail sooner.
He wasn’t the kind of person who destroys other people’s marriage. So he threw that thought to the back of his head as the corner of his lips curled up.
"Of course, make him regret leaving you behind." Asher was confident that this small act of his might end up giving Nicholas a wake up call to save his marriage.
The man should realize Abigail’s charm. She even managed to hook his heart, who had always been aloof to such things.
He turned toward his Aunt and said, "Can you go out for a while? I need you to bring me some flowers from the garden."
