The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 305: My Wife is the Most Considerate and Gentle
"Why don’t you get it?" Nathaniel frowned. "I’m just giving you some well-intentioned advice."
Ethan Shaw hadn’t yet taken off his black apron. Naomi Kenway had made him wear it, afraid he might burn himself again.
Seeing Ethan Shaw still wearing a housekeeping apron, Nathaniel was filled with contempt. ’He used to think that even though Ethan was arrogant, he at least had some presence. But now? He was nothing more than a henpecked weakling.’
"A grown man, wasting his time in the kitchen... People would laugh their heads off if they heard about this," Nathaniel said.
"I think you’re the one who should be laughed at, you underdeveloped moron."
Naomi Kenway chuckled softly as she descended the stairs.
She hadn’t wanted to have a falling out with Nathaniel, but who knew he’d be so ignorant? Every word he spoke reeked of masculine pride and entitlement. In his eyes, cooking was a disgraceful task—a woman’s duty.
Nathaniel froze, his face flushing red with anger. "You... How can you say something so nasty? Why are you cursing me for no reason?"
"You have to ask why I’m cursing you? What century are you living in? Your walnut-sized brain is still wrapped in foot-binding cloths! I really don’t know where you get this sense of superiority, acting like you’re some big shot who gets to lecture everyone on everything! And you say men shouldn’t cook? In my opinion, trash like you doesn’t even deserve to be alive!"
Naomi Kenway crossed her arms and snorted.
Nathaniel’s lips trembled. "You... you..."
It took him a long moment to spit out, "I won’t stoop to your level, you... woman!"
"Oh, you won’t stoop to my level? You should be grateful I don’t stoop to the level of a despicable man like you!" A look of disgust flashed in Naomi Kenway’s eyes.
She saw in Nathaniel the same rotten core as that piece of trash, Jackson Kensington.
Ethan Shaw had just carried the dishes inside. He knew Nathaniel was just a paper tiger who was all talk, no match for Naomi Kenway in the slightest. He stepped back over the threshold and leaned against the wall to enjoy the show.
Nathaniel was so furious he could barely breathe. When he glanced over and saw Ethan Shaw’s leisurely expression, enjoying the spectacle, he grew even more enraged. "I’m standing up for you! How could you marry such a shrew? She starts cursing at the drop of a hat!"
Ethan Shaw’s expression had been neutral, but when he heard Nathaniel bad-mouthing Naomi Kenway, his gaze sharpened. He stepped forward. "Mind your own business."
Ethan Shaw reached out, gently wrapping an arm around Naomi Kenway. His voice held a hint of a smile. "My wife is the most considerate and gentle person I know."
Even with her thick skin, Naomi Kenway felt a little sheepish hearing that.
Ethan Shaw’s gaze fell on the dumbfounded Nathaniel. "If you slander her again, I’ll have no choice but to get my lawyer involved."
Nathaniel trembled with rage at his words. He had only spoken up because he couldn’t stand seeing Ethan Shaw being humiliated. Who would have thought Ethan wouldn’t appreciate the gesture in the slightest and would even side with Naomi Kenway?
’A guy like that deserves to be pushed around!’
Nathaniel stormed off.
Ethan Shaw knew Naomi Kenway was still fuming. Half-jokingly, he said, "Don’t be angry. Or, I could call him back and let you vent some more." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"And how would you have me vent?" His comment made Naomi Kenway laugh.
"Hit him, yell at him, whatever you want. I’ll take responsibility if anything happens."
"Really?"
Seeing that Ethan Shaw actually looked ready to act on it, Naomi Kenway quickly pulled him back, laughing. "Alright, alright, I’m not angry anymore. It’s pointless to waste energy on people like him. He and Renee Jennings are a perfect match—they’re two of a kind. Thank goodness you’re not like him..."
Ethan Shaw paused. A little afraid, but also curious about the answer, he asked, "What if I... were like him?"
"Then I’d dump you and take Ian to travel the world, free and happy! Though with all my work commitments right now, traveling would be a bit difficult. I’d have to wait until Ian is grown up and I’ve retired. But by then, Ian will definitely have his own life, so it’d be safer to just go by myself."
Naomi Kenway was genuinely pondering it.
Ian Shaw raised his hand, saying anxiously, "Ian will go with Mommy! Ian will really go with Mommy! Can we pinky promise?"
Naomi Kenway smiled and ruffled his hair. She didn’t link pinkies with him, but just said, "Mommy believes you, Ian."
The future was unpredictable, but she was still happy to have Ian’s promise right now.
Seeing the mother and son smiling happily, having completely left him out of their plans, Ethan Shaw felt an inexplicable pang of bitterness. For once, he didn’t suppress his emotions and spoke in a deliberately wounded tone, "You’re really planning a trip without me?"
Every time she looked at Ethan Shaw’s face, Naomi Kenway couldn’t help but marvel at the wonders of creation. ’How could someone be so perfectly tailored to her aesthetic preferences?’ High-bridged nose, deep-set eyes, and such refined, sculpted features.
His brows were slightly furrowed and his lips were a little pale, making him look utterly pitiful—a stark contrast to his usual self. As Naomi Kenway looked at him, her resolve wavered slightly. "Why are you... I... I’ll take you with me."
Ethan Shaw seized the opportunity, extending his hand and hooking his pinky around hers. "Pinky promise?"
Naomi Kenway really couldn’t handle his pitiful act. She didn’t agree right away.
’Ethan Shaw was so obedient. He always helped carry the shopping bags, rushed to do any dirty or tiring chores, and would try to comfort her whenever he noticed she was in a bad mood...’
’Thinking about it, traveling together might not be so bad.’
Naomi Kenway hooked her pinky a little tighter. "Okay. Come on, pinky promise."
[OMG, brother-in-law, are you seriously using a honey trap? How is our Sister Nina supposed to resist that?]
[LMAO President Shaw looks as wronged as a scorned wife. "How could you go on a trip without me?"]
[He totally got the pinky promise idea from Ian, didn’t he? LOL, I have to say, seeing them pinky promise is both hilarious and so shippable!]
[I hereby declare this is the number one ship!]
[Nathaniel finally took a hike. He was annoying me to death. Now I finally get why I can’t stand him. He’s a textbook chauvinist, thinking he’s hot stuff just because of the few ounces of flesh between his legs!]
[No wonder he can’t even sort vegetables. He probably thinks he married a wife just to wait on him hand and foot, right?]
[And he had the nerve to give President Shaw advice? Can that toxic trash just roll away? Does he have to infect everyone around him? Renee Jennings has clearly gotten used to being PUA’d. A few sweet nothings and she’s completely lost her bearings!]
[The internet really has no memory. This Nathaniel has been problematic for a while now. Didn’t he trend a while back for some inappropriate comments? But his family is loaded, so they just threw money at the problem to make it go away. The guy said on a show once that his wife does all the cooking at home. He doesn’t like food made by servants; he said his wife’s cooking feels the coziest and gives him the greatest sense of accomplishment. He claimed he really enjoys that kind of life, like some "divine couple" from an old play...]
[BLEGH, is Nathaniel for real??]
