The Tycoon's Enchanted Mermaid-Chapter 169 - : Feeling Uncomfortable
Chapter 169: Chapter 169: Feeling Uncomfortable
“Pearl…”
“You… you’re back…”
Ah Da looked up with a small voice calling his name, her little face pale with a blush, tender and dewy. Her eyes, brimming with tears, gazed up at the man standing before her. The moment she uttered his name, her body seemed to slide down uncontrollably as if sapped of all her strength.
Like a boneless fish.
Qin Yu reached out to pull her up by her arms, feeling her skin soft and tender like a freshly peeled egg, fearing that even a slight force might crush her. He tried to pull her out of the water, but she shook her head and resisted, “No, I don’t want to get out…”
“…don’t want to get out…”
The young girl pushed against his hands, unwilling to come out. Qin Yu frowned, his fingertips brushing her cheek, her body temperature was normal.
When he received the call from Song Ma saying she had woken up, he almost couldn’t resist rushing back from the company to see her, but he couldn’t; there were two important meetings that day he had to attend at the company.
Ever since Lingcheng Mountain, she had been unconscious for many days. Each time, in the quiet of the night, he would stare at her peacefully sleeping face, feeling the impulse to immediately send someone to Lingcheng Mountain to drag Master Ting Chan down, but every time he resisted.
The first day she didn’t wake up, Ting Chan reassured him over the phone that it was just the process of soul fusion, that she would naturally wake up once the fusion was completed, and that forcibly interrupting it would harm her.
With Lingcheng Mountain and his disciples there, old money-grubber Ting Chan wouldn’t dare deceive him.
Qin Yu patiently waited, and finally heard the news that she had woken up. He intended to have Ting Chan check her body, but Yao Qingzhi said that he was not at Lingcheng Mountain and could handle it himself.
Yao Qingzhi, Master Ting Chan’s most capable disciple, is set to inherit his mantle in the future, so he agreed.
After ending the call, he threw himself wholeheartedly back into work.
Everything today was a race against the clock. Tasks that normally wouldn’t be finished until nine were all resolved by five-thirty. Little did he know, as soon as he got back to Wuqiong Water Pavilion, he would hear Song Ma complain about some little person who had woken from a coma and refused to leave the swimming pool all afternoon.
Not well-behaved at all.
Even wilful.
Qin Yu was both impatient and helpless in his heart.
“What’s actually going on?”
“Nothing’s wrong…” The young girl giggled twice, pushed his hands away, and swam backwards, all the way to the deep end.
No matter how Qin Yu called her from the side of the pool, she pretended not to hear. Having no alternative, he could only get into the water and haul her back out.
Walking into the changing room, Qin Yu came out wearing only a pair of shorts, his upper body bare, revealing a sturdy chest and a trim waist evenly muscled, and long, lean legs, smooth and powerful.
He reached the edge of the pool and dove in.
With a “splash” of water, Ah Da opened her eyes deep underwater and saw a figure swimming towards her.
Her heart tightened, and she immediately swam farther away.
Qin Yu, strong and vigorous, and Ah Da with her inherent advantage – she didn’t need air at the surface – combined with her sleek body, meant she could swim far by easily kicking her long legs.
Ah Da looked back and saw that there was a distance between them, just about to rejoice when suddenly her ankle was grasped tightly.
“!”
It was too late for Ah Da to panic.
Immediately after, her waist was grabbed, and as they surfaced, her slender back was pressed against a distinctly male, wide, hot, and solid chest.
Ah Da’s ears reddened as she struggled to turn her head and look.
The man’s cropped hair dripped with water droplets, sliding down his tall nose and into his slightly pursed thin lips. His deep black eyes were profound, his whole being emanated an undeniable aggressive aura.
“I… you…”
Ah Da was incoherent.
His hands with prominent joints held the girl’s slender wrist firmly, his other arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her in front of him, preventing her from slipping away slickly.
“Where else do you think you’re going? Hmm?”
The man spoke above her head, his tone slow and with a hint of amusement, like a demon deceiving people at the bottom of the sea.
Ah Da dared not let her gaze land on his body, everywhere taut with sexual tension, his muscles rippling, his healthy skin tone exuding a raw wildness—a stark contrast to his handsome, otherworldly face that didn’t seem of this world.
“Why aren’t you speaking?” Qin Yu lowered his head to rest on her shoulder, and with a glance, his brows and eyes were full of seduction.
Ah Da kept her head down, her heart thumping erratically, as if a little deer had taken up residence inside.
The dangerous proximity made her subconsciously want to flee.
Afraid to stay, fearing she’d be devoured.
But her body and hands were firmly bound; unexpectedly, her reddened ears were gently bitten, causing Ah Da’s eyes to widen suddenly, and her body to tremble lightly, becoming extremely pliable.
Qin Yu supported her body to prevent her from falling into the water.
“What’s wrong?”
Qin Yu chuckled lowly, even teasingly speaking into her ear, deliberately watching her fumble helplessly.
Her dress was thin and soaked with water, and it could not block anything at all; she could very distinctly feel the body heat of the man behind her, along with his steady heartbeat.
Even his breathing was crystal clear.
Too close.
More than just shyness, at the moment he bit her ear, the fire raging within Ah Da seemed to be fueled by a bucket of oil, the fierce blaze rendering her limbs weak and her thoughts chaotic.
“…I feel uncomfortable…”
A touch of abnormal redness appeared on her exquisite face; Qin Yu put away his playful mindset, turned her around in a hurry, and in the next second, her delicate arms were wrapped around his neck.
The force was so strong; it was as though she wanted to pull him under the deep water. She wouldn’t respond when he called her name, merely sobbing with a crying tone, restlessly burying her small head in his ear, softly biting at his neck.
She seemed very anxious, anxious enough to use her teeth.
Qin Yu was aroused by her to the point where his blood boiled, his eyes full of desire; yet, seeing that she was clearly not well, he suppressed his bodily reaction, held her waist tightly, and dragged her to the shore up the steps, picking up a towel to wrap around her entire body.
Ah Da frowned, looking at him with eyes full of longing and helplessness, pitifully sitting on the ceramic tiles.
Her hair was damp, trailing behind her, a small figure with tears coursing down the corner of her eye, about to fall yet not falling.
Qin Yu squatted next to her, pinching her small chin, seeing the flush on her face had faded considerably, he sighed lowly,
“What exactly do you want?”
Ah Da pouted, “I want to go into the water.”
Saying so, she attempted to head back into the water.
“No.”
Qin Yu’s tone was cold and firm, his black eyes deep, an overwhelming sense of oppression, forcibly carrying her toward the dressing area.
Ah Da’s legs dangled in the air, her belly scraping against his solid shoulder, her head hanging downwards as she saw the orange clouds painted by the sunset reflected in the water.
Her fists hung over the man’s back, resisting non-stop.
“I don’t want to leave, Qin Yu!”
“Qin Yu, let me go…”
With a “snap,” the man warned in a low voice,
“What are you fussing about?”
Ah Da miserably shed two pearls.

Bad guy, Qin Yu!
Once inside the door, the bad guy Qin Yu placed her on the sofa, his hands holding the towel to dry her hair and body.
Ah Da stubbornly turned her head away from him, her mouth pouting so much that it could hold two oil cans.
Qin Yu couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Hearing his laughter, Ah Da was first shocked, then burst into tears, the tears pitter-pattering down.
