The SSS Legendary Dragon Chose Me On Rebirth-Chapter 54: The gathering
Chapter 54: The gathering
"This is where the New Dawn are training."
It was the next day after Vacuse’s meeting with Zorathian.
He had told Zorathian about the eyes of the Blood Dragon. After the last user fell in battle, the eyes disappeared, but then it turned into a bloodline inheritance, appearing among some of the Vorrakyn family members, and when they died, it got transferred over to another person.
In his past life, it appeared on a farm boy that was caught up in the war. He had joined Drenvar’s army in a fit of anger to take revenge on those that destroyed his life.
He was a terrifying fighter in Vacuse’s last life.
This time, Vacuse used him as a bargaining chip.
Vacuse’s lips curled as he watched his New Dawn. Now, he would be able to relax a little, as Zorathian would walk in the shadows to take care of some of his enemies.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The training hall was filled with the sound of metal against metal and the curses of the trainees and trainers.
Members of the Dragon Guards were spread around, training the New Dawn.
Vacuse’s arrival drew attention, and they stopped training briefly to bow to him.
It felt so good.
One thing Vacuse won’t stop are the emotions of victories he felt when he saw the way everyone bowed to him. He won’t let it get to his head, yes, but he won’t deny them either. He, after all, earned it.
He looked at the training and nodded in satisfaction.
"The training is divided into the parts. The first is where we train in weapons and hand-to-hand combat, how to coordinate the body according to the new level of strength and integrate magical attacks into fighting.
"The second is how to draw out the magic attacks, to use the beasts’ affinity, and everything that has to do with being a Soulbearer. With our long years of history, we have the standard techniques of almost all the beasts.
"Of course, each beast is different, and as the bond between a beast and its Soulbearer deepens, they would be able to create new and interesting techniques for themselves," Captain Drevix said.
Since the night before when Captain Yemi Aelarion had rushed out, he hadn’t returned. Surprisingly, Vice Captain Drevix was asked to take over.
Vacuse nodded as he listened. "What about the third part of the training?"
"It’s training on how to be a Dragon Guard."
Just then, a horn sounded, so loud and deep it seemed to shake the ground.
Everyone froze as they listened.
Another one blew again.
Then another.
And another.
A total of four.
A summoning to the central courtyard.
At once, everyone began to move again, their faces filled with surprise as they rushed out.
The Dragon Guard surrounded him, and Vacuse was swept away, and out of everyone and their worried whispers, he was the calmest.

Instead of going to the central courtyard as everyone else, Vacuse joined the Dragon Lord and his lords in front of the courtyard, on the raised platform overlooking the crowd below.
Although most of the people below are inhabitants of the Dragon Castle, what Drenvar wanted to do was going to be spread to the whole of Kragthar, its surrounding towns, and the whole West.
Drenvar didn’t stand alone. The whole platform was surrounded by Dragon Guards, and unlike those that followed Vacuse around, these set of knights were covered in deadly aura that sent chills to anyone that looked at them.
Their eyes were like eyes that glistened in the sun, splashed by blood.
And around him were other important Vorrakyn.
Skya Vorrakyn, a commander and Drenvar’s direct sister.
Fenris Vorrakyn, a short stocky man with a thick neck, the commander of the forces of Kragthar. Drenvar’s direct uncle and one of the most powerful in the Vorrakyn. His eyes were like a weight as they rested on Vacuse. "So this is the heir."
Fenris, the terrifying commander of the Wing Brigade that protects Kragthar, looked at Vacuse steadily.
Vacuse accepted his frank assessment. Fenris was one of the truly passionate people that wanted the best for the family.
He died early in the war, as he was specifically targeted.
Vacuse silently made a mental note to tell Zorathian to keep an eye on him.
Vacuse clasped his hands together and bowed. "Honorable Grace, Fenris. Commander Skya."
They all nodded except for Skya, who snorted coldly. She was technically the heir before Vacuse came into the picture.
"I heard that you have a Dragon on your neck that acts like a cat," she said.
Vacuse smiled and made a mental note to add her to the top of his kill list. "My Dragon, Rith, is in my soul space now."
She snorted coldly.
Fenris’s eyes sharpened. "So it is true. I am glad it’s happening in my lifetime."
"Me too," Vacuse said.
Drenvar nodded. "Vacuse. You’re here, good. We shall start now!"
He turned to face the crowd and focused his attention on them. "The Vorrakyn family is not strangers to betrayal and bloodshed. We are not immune to schemes." ƒгeewebnovёl_com
He paused, and the people below stirred as they understood what was happening.
A traitor had been caught.
"But! We are Dragons, and before our roars, what are schemes and petty plots? What is treason but another reason for us to fight and shed blood?
"That’s right! A traitor has been caught!"
The stirring exploded into full-blown whispers. For the Dragon Lord to be there himself, that meant someone big must have been caught!
Drenvar’s tone turned dark and gloomy. "When the first Vorrakyn followed the Emperor to claim this land and coil our body on the West, there were seven lords that followed the first Vorrakyn and fought in the name of the Dragons!
"They were given lands and territories to rule in our name!
"But through schemes and petty plots, seven were reduced to five, and now, today, it’s reduced to four!"
