The Soul System in the Apocalypse-Chapter 487: Slight Progress

But it was at that time that suddenly, a feminine voice echoed from behind them.

"All of you stop!"

The moment that they heard that voice, everybody immediately stopped. That voice belonged to none other than the leader of the territory. Since she had already said that they had to stop, they definitely would not disobey.

Immediately, they did not continue with the attacks, but instead, they looked at Olivia’s group vigilantly. Despite the fact that they had already been instructed not to attack, they would not simply retreat, instead, they prepared themselves to attack in case there was a need for them to.

A few moments later after the voice reached the ears of the group at the very front, they began moving aside, revealing a figure that was currently wearing tight black clothing.

There was a mask on the face, hiding the appearance of the person who had appeared. But even then, the feminine features would not be hidden.

As she walked forward, she looked at both Olivia and Sarah curiously. She was none other than Nancy. To say the truth, she was a little relieved the moment that she realized that it was Olivia and Sarah who had come over.

Due to the sudden movements of the members of the other races, every territory suddenly became vigilant. That was the same thing that was happening in this territory.

Sometime back, she managed to find an item that was capable of creating an illusion. That was what she had currently utilized in order to trick those that came to the territory that there was nobody here.

Of course, it was not as if this was something that could be done in just a matter of a minute, but instead, it needed the cooperation of everybody within the territory. It required at least 5 minutes for everything to be put into place.

In ordinary situations, it was definitely almost impossible to be able to mobilize all the members of the territory who numbered in hundreds of thousands, to come to a single place in just a matter of about 5 minutes.

But due to the information about what the members of the other races had been doing recently, everybody had been extremely nervous and anxious. For that reason, the moment that they received the information about any unknown people or figures appearing around the territory, everybody would immediately spring to action, and rush towards the designated area.

That was exactly what had happened. Those that were in charge of looking out for any intruders had already noticed the vehicle that was approaching the territory from a distance. And for that reason, they immediately rang an alarm, and everybody began moving.

It could be said that this move was sometimes kind of unnecessary considering that perhaps those that might be coming over were extremely weak, but even then, there was no problem with being a little more cautious. After all, nobody could guarantee that those that were coming over were weaker than themselves.

At the end of it all, those who could venture into the wilderness and move from territory to another were definitely not to be trifled with.

Nancy looked towards Sarah. The previous time that she had seen Sarah, she was actually in a coma. But right now, looking at her, she could see that she was quite healthy. Additionally, looking towards Angela, she realized that this was the same girl who had left together with that group of soldiers.

She remembered Angela simply because of the achievements that she possessed at that time. Additionally, due to the fact that Olivia’s father was kind of trying to persuade a certain group from leaving, Nancy obviously noticed Angela among the group who were considered as the family members of the soldiers that were about to leave the territory, in order to go to another city where they had been summoned.

It seemed that they had made it to that city successfully. Otherwise, it would definitely be impossible for her to be here.

"It is good to see you guys again. Welcome." Nancy stated as she pushed the raven hair locks behind her ears. Currently, the upper part of her face had been covered by the mask that she was wearing. The slight smile on her lips was kind of enchanting.

Olivia and the others nodded. In the entire group, only Olivia and Angela could recognize Nancy. As for Sarah, since she was unconscious during the time that they were in this city, it was clear that she could not recognize Nancy at all.

"Is my family okay?" Olivia asked after a moment of silence.

"Yes they are. You should not be that worried. As long as this territory is still standing, believe it, your family is going to be okay. After all, the contributions that you made to this territory cannot be ignored at all." Nancy responded.

She was not that much surprised the moment that Olivia asked for her family first. In any case, in the apocalypse, almost everybody was selfish. So, Olivia asking about her family without caring much about the territory was definitely not something that much strange.

As for the contributions that she was talking about, that was related to how they had helped in clearing the zombies in the territory. Otherwise, without Olivia’s group being present within this city at that time, then this territory would have not existed at this moment.

"Let me take you there." Nancy offered. Due to the changes that had occurred in the territory, it was obviously impossible for Olivia to be able to know where her family was currently located.

"Okay." Olivia immediately agreed without hesitation.

Nancy turned around and looked towards the group of flabbergasted people. This group of people had not gotten that much interaction with Olivia and the others. So, it was not impossible for them to not recognize her, considering that Olivia had undergone several changes during the months but she had been away.

"All of you can disperse. Everything is okay. It was a false alarm." Nancy stated calmly.

Even though many people were confused about who Olivia was, some people had seen her, especially those that had been together with her during the time that she was attacking a territory. So, they immediately began telling who she was to those that did not know about her.

The moment that those people knew about who Olivia was, they could not help but tremble a little. According to the information that they had received, this lady was extremely strong. And they had just attacked her. If she actually decided to attack them, it was definitely going to be impossible for them to be able to resist, considering that she was fairly stronger than even the territory leader here.

But even then, the group immediately dispersed, and everybody went back to their own activities. Everybody was rushing to take their own property, considering that they had left in a hurry, and they had not got a chance of securing them in a good place.

Despite the harmony that existed between the members of this territory during an attack, after the matter of the attack was dealt with, everybody was going to deal with their own situation. So, it was not unusual to find that somebody had lost something that belonged to them during the time that they were away.

But in any case, several people had already been dispatched by Nancy to help maintain order. As for those that tried to steal other people’s property, they would be dealt with by the rules that had been set for the territory.

Nancy then led Olivia’s group towards the main territory building. At the same time, the illusion that was making people believe that there was actually a street all the way from the entrance of the territory actually disappeared, and everything went back to normal.

Indeed, there was a street that came all the way from the entrance of the territory, but it was definitely not as long as it had been when Olivia and the others came over. Otherwise, how was it possible that the street was going to extend further, then collide with the open space where everybody had been before?

After ensuring that everything in this territory was okay, Olivia immediately communicated with Henry using the advanced communication devices that Henry had purchased from the system after the system was upgraded to level 3.

At this critical moment, it was better for them to make sure that less human territories were destroyed. Otherwise, the humans would definitely fall at a great disadvantage during the moment of the final battle between the races.

Since they had already gotten the territory that was in good condition, Olivia decided to stay here for a moment, to make sure that this territory was not attacked by the members of the other races.

According to her understanding, with the power level that this territory possessed, it was definitely impossible for them to be able to resist the collaboration of several races attacking it at the same time. It was a good thing that there was no race that was located close to them.

On the other side, Henry simply continued trying to break through the limit. Despite it having been an entire week without success, he was not willing to give up.

And it seemed that his efforts were actually managing to bear some fruits, because on this specific day, Henry actually suddenly felt that the amount of energy that he possessed in his reserves was actually increasing.

Despite the fact that the increase was negligible, but even then, that was an improvement as compared to the previous times where there was no change at all in his energy reserves.

The moment that Henry felt the change, he was immediately motivated, and continued with his hunting spree. At that moment, the dungeon was actually not capable of catching up with the speed at which Henry was clearing the monsters with its spawning rate.
