The Monster Monarch System-Chapter 109: Holy Sacrifice
A sacrifice was triggered – her body in exchange for the true power of the Holy flames.
Her body burned in the whitish flames just as his soul sickle reached for her neck, but the blade was burned to bits and Rem withdrew his fingers which had already gone up in flames – burning with ethereal energy. At first he tried to channel his healing power into them but the fingers did not regenerate, instead they kept burning faster engulfing his entire palm.
"Damn," He cursed under his breath as he instantly released crimson flames, engulfing the white flames by it and charring his palm beyond recognition in the process but it had helped to suppress the white flames from reaching other parts of his body... or he would have to combust them as well.
Rem made a big leap backward as more flames charred the ground where he had been standing, the Apprentice landed and Arya’s body kept on burning – her internal organs had been burned out and now her outer body was being wrenched by the flames, each part of it disintegrating as she called upon the fierce primal power of the Holy flames... her body soon vanished and what existed was a figure made entirely of holy flames, the flames distorted trying to maintain human form but failing utterly.
’Holy Demon, A-grade’
Rem gritted his teeth behind the mask, any contact he made with that being would mean utterly burning into ashes... How was he to fight an opponent he couldn’t touch? With spells.
Concentrating magical energy, Rem shot forth two bullets of wind and watched them tear into the Holy demon only for it to walk through the attacks like it was nothing... Rem could only sigh as an orb of chaotic holy flame shot through the air and toward him, he leaped out of the way and watched as the ball razed the ground below it and continued sailing through the forest uncontrolled before detonating.
’If I make any mistake... one of those things might actually destroy Orion,’ Rem thought, ’I haven’t finished staying the time I paid in the inn,’
Rem’s eyes narrowed down on the Demon, a smirk spreading at his lips as he began running in a certain direction, his movements boosted by the Body Strengthening skill. Rem sprinted across trees, shrubs and branches all in an attempt to reach his destination... with each stride, Rem pulled more energy into his feet. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Behind him, the uncontrolled demon followed along with a speed that defied the laws of physics – a trail of white fire exploding outwards from behind it, obliterating everything that lay behind the trail, the flames were just that powerful.
Rem silently ran ahead, his speed steadily picking up with each step he took – he powered forward with a renewed burst of speed, his blood pumping tremendously with adrenaline and soul energy rushing into his feet... Rem closed the distance between himself and what he wanted to escape into, a dungeon gate, a blue one swirling in the air.
Rem bent his knees, forcing energy into his feet before bouncing into the air and through the portal in an instant – his shape distorted in an instant and he found himself within a dripping C-grade dungeon, the rocky outlook not too different from what he had been seeing in dungeons so far.
The air distorted once again and Rem felt a powerful murderous intent seep through the entrance of the dungeon... the white flame being appeared once again and Rem sighted the Holy demon, he began moving again, dashing forward with precision while turning around and firing five bullets made of wind at the Holy Demon. These bullets easily went through it without providing any sort of resistance and then Rem changed it up, throwing two fireballs forth – both of them collided with the being but with a wave of it’s flamy right hand, the crimson balls of flame dispersed instantly, overpowered by the holy flames wielded by the Demon.
Rem didn’t give in though, he turned around and yelled at his full power... ripples spread through the dungeon ground as he utilized the Hellhound’s ability, but the soundwave did nothing to deter the movements of the Holy demon. Rem sighted a monster at the corner, A death wolf whimpering and a wicked smile formed on his lips.
He outstretched his arm and shot a fireball, completely decimating the Death wolf but he harnessed it’s soul – a thick dust suddenly pervaded the room as Dust wolves began forming, not only them but Drodlings, each of them manifested by the single soul he had sacrificed.
Rem didn’t look back, he began sprinting forward and he crossed through a cave opening – a searing heat threatening to scorch his back, he managed to move away in time as an explosion of holy flames riddled the room behind him, all of the monsters he had made were dead.
As Rem entered the room, he kept running forward while shooting down any monsters he could with a Wind bullet and making them into his sand warriors – fitting of his Sand army. After sacrificing five souls, he was even able to recreate the Sand golem but that wasn’t the important part here – Rem ran past the exit and another wave of scorching heat befell everyone in that room... Rem didn’t care what happened to them, all he knew was that he needed to run and hope his plan was working.
The Holy devil floated in the room, surrounded at all sides by Monsters made from sand... holy flames seeped out of it’s body and the feeling of intense destruction welled up within it, expending forth as a shockwave of those powerful flames wiping everything out within a moment’s notice. The entire room was decimated at an instant, every monster wiped out by the impeccable heat produced from the Holy flames, nothing remained and even the walls of the room were deeply charred and black.
The Holy devil continued on it’s path, the only mission it had – exterminate the man in black... as it left the room, the devil paused as an intense amount of Murderous intent pressed onto it, preventing it from moving although it’s body was still twitching a bit.
"Die," Rem muttered while rearing his palm forward and throwing three slash marks full of soul energy directly at the Monster.

Author’s Note:
I originally wanted the Chapter to be short but only then did I realize what kind of truly Overpowered opponent Rem is facing – so let’s continue and hope that he was a way of winning against a fierce enemy like this.
