Within the outskirts of New York, a small drone shaped like a floating brain made of silver metal, with several mechanical tentacles attached to its lower end, and a big eye-shaped red camera analyzed the remains of several gigantic machines.
It hovered above them while scanning them with its huge eye, constantly analyzing their special technological compositions, and its red eye suddenly turned green with a “ding!” sound, finding the results rather satisfactory.
“Excellent! These new materials are compatible with what I can do and possess incredible otherworldly power!”
A voice echoed through the small floating drone as several other drones appeared from a blue portal behind it, hundreds of them, spreading around all the large pieces of machinery spread through the dry steppes.
The machines, although very destroyed, had the faint shapes of large animals, each one with a different and unique color, although left completely unusable at this point, for the one collecting all pieces, they were valuable materials.
The drones started moving the pieces one after another without stopping, cleaning the entire area of any machinery leftover, before finally disappearing through the portal as well.
And within it, a large dimension of its own existed, a gigantic mechanical metropolis where machines of all shapes and sizes moved everywhere.
In the middle of this ever-glowing, mechanical, and circuit-covered metropolis, there was a gigantic spire with dozens of metallic tubes attached to it, glowing brightly as the pieces were being brought to the top of the tower.
And above the tower, an alien-looking machine being glanced at the new materials with a pleased smile; his drones not only delivered a lot of wonderful new otherworldly technology, placing them over a large area where other machines started disassembling the parts into their most usable compositions.
“Interesting technology you’ve secured. What is all of this exactly, Mechanicus?”
A man made completely out of pure darkness manifested by the side of the mechanical alien, glaring down at the machinery being disassembled.
“Dark Matter Man, infiltrating my Pocket Dimension again without my permission?”
The man made of darkness smiled; his face was barely visible aside from two eyes made of small stars and a slightly visible mouth.
“No space or dimension can escape from me. I can trespass everything and anything.”
“I see, so you’ve been able to get through the gray portals then?”
“I have. I was able to return back home, actually.”
“You had! Interesting. I am still trying to figure out a proper new portal. But that’ll take some time. Of course, with your help, that could be made quite easy.”
“And why would I help you?”
“Because we both are the archnemesis of Galaxy Man, and we both want him dead, right?”
“…What can you offer to me?”
“Oh, my dear old friend, what can’t I offer to you…”
Mechanicus smiled as he waved his hand, and a gigantic projection emerged, showing a blonde woman unleashing black and purple energies from her body.
“Hmm?!”
Dark Matter Man glared at the scene in disbelief, realizing the woman’s powers were very similar to his own, if not actually stronger, like an upgraded version of him.
“Who is that woman?! Those powers…! They’re similar to mine?”
“Yes, although not quite the same either. From what I’ve researched, she possesses the power of the Void itself, and she can contain it within her body, inexplicably so. I would need a DNA sample to find out what is the origin of such a power within a frail-looking human body. But aren’t you interested?”
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
“I am… If I could find her, I think… My powers could even reach a new height altogether!”
“I know you could; that’s why I tempted you with this offer. Your powers are quite peculiar by themselves, aren’t they? Reborn after your entire civilization doomed their home planet when they tried to harness the power of a miniature black hole, you were the only survivor; your body inexplicably survived the collision with the small black hole, your molecules were twisted and mutated as they merged with it, becoming a man made of Dark Matter, capable of swallowing stars themselves…”
“Hmph, you don’t need to rub it in my face… That experiment failed because those bastards never listened to me! The machine was not ready and… Bah, forget it.”
Dark Matter Man flew above the machinery that was being disassembled, pointing at it with slight anger.
“Answer me, what are those things? What can I feel so much power from those scraps? What are they even?”
“Alien technology from another timeline. They seemed to originally take the shape of Earth animals but made of metal and machines. I plan to repurpose it all and create a new weapon, body, and army with it.”
“You will synthesize that metal and replicate it?”
“Indeed. So, Dark Matter Man? What do you think about my offer? I will give you the opportunity to find that woman, and you will help me harness the power to cross between the Timeline Gates at will and recreate them at Will.”
“I can cross them but recreate them? It’s impossible.”
“Oh my dear friend, how wrong you are; you have quite the potential without realizing it. Dark Matter encompasses all Universes, you have the power to alter reality. But you seem to have yet to awaken your truest, latest potential. I assume that contact with that woman might finally awaken your true self.”
“My true self…?”
Dark Matter Man glanced at his own hands, made of black energy and shadows constantly swirling alongside miniature stars; he suddenly felt inspired, almost filled with new life and energy.
“With that power, I could finally destroy Galaxy Man, right? And finally get rid of those damned Solarnites! If it wasn’t for them, my people would have never been so desperate as to create a weapon capable of destroying planets powered up by a miniature black hole to begin with!”
“Yes, yes, I know. We share the same goal, even if we’ve been enemies before too. My purpose as well is to eliminate all Solarnites; the people that created me did so only for that purpose. Even as they all perished, I remain with the same goal as before. And I shall do so while conquering Earth, a wonderful place for the expansion of my kind.”
Dark Matter Man glared at Mechanicus, noticing the same resentment he had for that wicked species of world conquerors, the same alien species that Galaxy Man belonged to.
Although the two of them couldn’t be more different, they shared a similar goal, and although they had fought many times as well, in desperate times, they found relying on each other quite a lot.
“Hmph, fine… You will let me harness the power of the Void, and you shall get your Portals,” Dark Matter Man smiled. “This plan benefits me either way, so it would be foolish to not take the offer.”
“Good, very good, Dark Matter Man, I always knew you were a smart man; you will not regret this,” Mechanicus nodded as he saw new materials and scraps arriving, mostly pieces of the Saurian spaceships, hundreds of pieces.
“More scrap metal? Is this all you collect?” Wondered Dark Matter Man.
“This is the strange technology developed by Dinosaurs from another Timeline where they became smarter than humans and developed psychic powers and technology, colonizing Mars! I have learned quite a lot by hacking their database,” explained Mechanicus. “I think I’ve found myself quite an assortment of treasures! Oh yes! I can feel it now; the wonders I can create are limitless! This world, it truly never ceases to amuse me!”
“Hmph, lunatic…” Dark Matter Man glared at the robot while remaining in silence as he looked at the machines moving around. “But right now, he’s the only bastard that can help me… Just you wait, Galaxy Man. I will make sure to kill you. I will avenge my people.”

Within the chaotic and endless confines of the Spiritual Realm, a large dinosaur-shaped golden specter moved from planetoid to ruins, seeking refuge within the rubble and the strange, phantasmal forests. However, as he detected a powerful presence lurking behind him, he immediately felt the same fear he felt when he faced HIM.
“Damn it! He’s here too?!”
Without even hesitating, the dinosaur specter began running away as quickly as possible; the presences chasing him down only grew closer, no matter how fast he moved.
He started destroying large concentrations of ruins and even sending small planetoids their way, but nothing worked, as everything was turned to dust once they faced his persecutor.
FLAAASH!
And before he could advance another step, a bright sword made of golden and silver light emerged before his spectral body, stopping him from moving forward.
“Argh!”
The light burned his spectral, divine body; even as powerful as he was, before this light he seemed to be just another average ghost.
“That is as far as you’re going, Primal God of Dinosaurs.”
A handsome man appeared, Bing Xue’s son, Orion, with long, silvery-white hair and rainbow-colored eyes, the young man holding the title of the world’s strongest seemed like an unstoppable force and an immovable object all in one.
“Please spare me! I’ll do anything for you! Don’t kill me!”
The Saurian God started asking for mercy pathetically, only for him to realize gigantic, spider-like legs emerged above him.
“Hahah, how pathetic! To see you in such a state, lizard.”
“W-What?! YOU?!”
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
Before he could even say another word, however, his entire divine body was impaled by several giant spider legs, and then, his entire being was absorbed.
“Uuaaaggghhh!”
The spider that devoured him only grew larger, overflowing with new Divine Primal Power, as Orion looked at her with enamored eyes, without realizing the monster he had created.
