The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 357: Imbalanced Elements
Emily pulled away from the kiss, her head turning to the side to get a glimpse of the outside through the huge open window. Her gaze landed on the wolves that just howled as if they were celebrating something. "They can see us." It wasn’t a question but Kaiden still answered.
"Right. They can see us, even hear and smell. They are just being playful."
Emily’s eyes immediately went wide in shock and she hurriedly turned to look at Kaiden. "You are kidding, right?" Her eyes were almost desperate as she waited for his answer. But instead of Kaiden, the wolves outside answered with their loud howling.
It didn’t even take a second before Emily felt her cheeks burning in full embarrassment while she glared at her mate who was smiling as if he was enjoying the situation.
"Kaiden!"
The warning was loud and clear in her voice as she glared at the man who immediately became serious and cast a spell to ensure their privacy.
"Sorry, Angel. It wasn’t intentional." Kaiden apologized and he sounded sincere which helped Emily feel slightly better.
"It’s alright. I’m just a little bit embarrassed." She responded while patting her cheeks with her palms as if to get rid of the warmth.
Kaiden caught her wrists in his hands and pulled her hands to rest against his chest as he spoke - "There’s nothing to be embarrassed about, especially about others hearing your true feelings. As for them..." he pointed at the wolves outside with a quick gesture with his face, "... they are just teasing me, not you. As their future Luna, they respect you."
Emily remained silent for a while before finally nodding her head in understanding. If not for feeling embarrassed, she would have taken the situation lightly. She arched her head to the back and looked up at the man in front of her and once again, her brain started going to places as her eyes took in his beauty.
She raised her hand and placed her fingers on his eyebrow, tracing it before sliding her finger down the side of his face and stopping on his lips. "You ate dinner?" She asked while tracing her thumbnail across his lower lip.
Kaiden had his eyes fixed on her face as he allowed her to play with him. "Hmm. I did. How about you?"
Emily nodded her head as she answered, "I ate with Rylan and Leo right before we arrived here." Her thumb continued to trace the line of his lower lip.
"Wanna eat anything else?" He asked while trying his best to hold himself back and let his woman play while she looked absolutely cute and alluring.
Emily bit down lightly on her bottom lip as she thought about the question before she finally allowed her eyes to move up from his lips and look into his eyes. She found herself nodding her head and whispered - "You."
That one word was all that took to make Kaiden lose all his control and the very next moment, his lips found hers for a deep, passionate kiss.
Emily let out a sigh as she returned the kiss with as much eagerness and passion as she felt coming from Kaiden. She wrapped her hands around his waist and Kaiden immediately pulled her closer, pressing their bodies against each other’s once again.
Their lips moved in sync against each other’s and their tongues joined the play a couple of moments later. The intimacy brought a warmth that filled Emily from top to bottom, causing sweet little tingles to spark across her body.
When they finally ended the kiss a couple of very long moments later, they both were out of breath but for totally different reasons, one was breathless because of the immense desire burning inside him while the other one was breathless from the intense kissing that left her body needing more.
Kaiden took a step away only to pick her up in his arms.
"What are you doing?" Emily asked while wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders.
"Taking you to our bed," Kaiden answered with a warm smile.
"Our?" Emily liked the sound of it, especially when he said it.
"Mmhm. Ours."

Emily stared at the seed that Aleron just handed over to her. It looked small and totally dead. Yet, she was told to grow a plant out of it.
"You aren’t pranking me or something, right?" She asked the Fae King just to confirm and got a really disturbing look from the man in response. "Fine..." She drawled with a huff before returning her attention to the seed.
She took several deep breaths to get relaxed and once she was, she closed her eyes and summoned her magic. The actual reason she didn’t protest much against this training idea was that she was finally given the chance to feel and use her powers, something she had been craving for so long. Every time she used her powers, she felt more connected to her magic and more alive.
Since her current task required her to use the ’Earth’ element, she tried to separate it from the rest of her elemental powers and only summon it but soon realized that her elements were a jumbled mess for some reason.
"Something is wrong," she told Aleron who was gave her a confused look.
"What is it?"
"My powers... all the elements seemed to be tangled up. I’m trying to summon only earth elements but all other elements are trying to rush out as well." Emily explained.
Aleron arched his eyebrows high and moved his palm in front of his eyes while directing some sort of spell over Emily. A second later, he nodded his head. "They are indeed tangled up. What did you do yesterday?"
"What do you mean?" Now, it was Emily’s turn to be confused.
"Did you do anything yesterday that could have affected your powers? Like a sudden rise in your emotions, or some adrenaline rush? Anything that could have caused an imbalance between your elements?"
