No one knew where she came from, her arrival was like a mystery.

At first, people only called her the Foreigner, which was the common term used by the natives of the Bratis Continent for unfamiliar faces.

But soon, some people noticed her uniqueness.

She claimed to worship a deity named Valria, and she was the Priest of Valria.

Up to this point, there was nothing particularly unusual, because most foreigners arriving on this continent had bizarre beliefs.

Even some of the native deities on the Bratis Continent, if traced back meticulously, were also introduced by their followers from elsewhere.

Churches that have survived to this day had already established a firm foothold, with a fixed number of followers. They had essentially divided the population of this continent among themselves.

Therefore, newcomers found it very hard to even get a taste of the soup.

Before the Female Priest arrived in Bratis, many people had actually had similar ideas, yet without exception, they all failed.

Some became subjects of local gossip, while others were so obscure that no one even heard of their names.

So, when the Female Priest declared her intention to spread the divine grace of the Life Goddess over this land, most people were ready to watch her fail.

However, soon, someone became her first follower.

It was a boy named Hui, only fourteen, slender, yet with wolf-like eyes.

It was said that he was captured by slave traders from deep in the mountains. When the traders found him, he was in a wolf's den, sleeping among wolf pups.

At first, the traders thought they had found something valuable, because the boy, despite his frailty, was agile and had Half-Beast blood, yet did not belong to any known family.

But they soon regretted it because they discovered that the boy could not speak the Universal Language of the Continent and harbored inexplicable hostility towards humans. No matter how severely beaten, he couldn't learn to obey.

Such slaves were unwanted. The traders finally locked him in an iron cage and tossed him aside.

Some initially interested customers lost interest after hearing about him, even though the asking price was only three silver coins, less than half the price of an ordinary female slave.

It wasn't until the Female Priest passed by the boy and suddenly stopped, defying the trader's advice to extend her hand into the cage.

The boy's eyes were filled with caution, letting out low growls from his throat like a provoked wild animal.

But the voice of the Female Priest was exceptionally gentle, "It's okay, relax, I'm not your enemy."

The boy could not understand her words, yet his animal instinct told him that this human was different from others he'd encountered.

She was warm, approachable, like the soft belly of a she-wolf.

So the boy did not resist and allowed her hand to rest on his cheek.

"Let me see what you've been through," the Female Priest said, then took out a sachet she carried and waved it under the boy's nose.

A moment later, the Female Priest withdrew her hand, her gaze filled with sympathy.

"Poor child," she said turning to the trader, "Open the cage, I've decided to buy this slave."

Having a fool willing to take over made the slave trader quite happy, but conducting business in the area, he must consider his reputation, so he warned, "This one is very savage, be careful when I open the cage that he might attack."

The Female Priest said, "It doesn't matter, he is my first follower on this land, I can assure you he won't attack anyone."

As she spoke, the Female Priest pulled out three silver coins and handed them over to the trader.

The trader realized they were not the standard currency of the Bratis Continent, but in Crab's Corner, he was already used to such things. He weighed them and found the weight quite acceptable, so he had the cage opened.

As soon as a small gap appeared, the boy leapt out, baring his teeth at the slave trader, ready to attack.

"You don't seem to have a name," the Female Priest said, "I'll call you Hui from now on, because you have gray ears. Don't hurt anyone, Hui, or the guards in the city will catch you."

At the next miraculous moment, the boy seemed to understand her, retracting his teeth and fierce gaze, obediently following behind the Female Priest.

The onlookers could not help but wonder at this sight.

However, the bulging purse of the Female Priest caught the eyes of some keen observers. A Foreigner with wealth, especially a woman, would always stand out.

Those sneaky figures followed her, hoping to strike when fewer people were around.

But the Female Priest walked straight to a tavern.

Just as the tails hiding in the shadows speculated whether she was going inside to hire mercenaries for protection, the Female Priest turned around and smiled at them.

"Come on in, this meal is on me," she said, then pushed the door open and walked inside.

The pickpockets and thieves looked at each other, and finally, one bravely stepped inside, setting an example that the others then followed.

The result was that when they came out again, they had all become followers of Valria.

—From that day on, Cornelia and the Life Goddess behind her began to be known to more and more people.

But clearly, not everyone was happy to see this happening.

As mentioned earlier, there were already mainstream churches in every city on Bratis.

So, someone privately contacted the most notorious mercenary in the city at the time, Earth Bear, through an intermediary, hoping to eliminate this threat.

After Earth Bear received the deposit, he moved swiftly, arriving at the inn where Cornelia was staying just as night fell, but he never came out.

Until the next morning, people were amazed to find that the Female Priest now had another fiercely temperamental, yet loyal guard by her side.

This made Cornelia's name spread widely, feared and hated by priests of other churches, worried that their followers would all be taken by her.

But no one knew that the heart of the Female Priest was already elsewhere. Cornelia set her sights west, toward Lion Heart Castle, knowing that it was the political and power center of the Empire.

Once she conquered it, the people of this continent would quickly worship the Life Goddess.

This was her true purpose for coming to this land.

And Cornelia almost achieved it, if it had not been for the invasion of the Bratis by the Wing Tribe.

With Edward II poisoned to death, much of her hard work in the Royal Capital went in vain, forcing her to take a step back and continue assisting Allister.

But this time, her opponent became the Double Rest Sect and Prophet Merlin, whom she knew was also a Foreigner like her.

Cornelia thought she had adequately accounted for Li Yu, yet only after Cornelia's swift defeat of the Black Hand and her reclamation of the Golden Valley did the Female Priest realize she knew nothing about this opponent.

Moreover, the situation might have been worse than she anticipated.

While Cornelia was pondering how to defeat this strong enemy, Hui brought back news that Merlin wanted to negotiate with her.

Though Cornelia was unsure what Li Yu wanted to discuss, since the other side released Hui, she decided to show some goodwill in return.

So the Female Priest heard the most outrageous yet chilling story of her life.

But intuition told her that it was all true, that the other party was not lying.

The key was she couldn't find a reason why the other party would lie.

After several nights of internal struggle, Cornelia decided to meet with the man, for if Merlin would open his heart to her, the Female Priest could then determine the truth.

As a result, that meeting completely changed the Female Priest's life and destroyed all her previous plans.

Cornelia then joined Li Yu's plan, and accepted the conditions offered by him, converting to Sabbath and publicly declared the Life Goddess as the embodiment of Sabbath, abandoning Allister, and shifted her support to Ireya to become the Emperor.

In return, Li Yu allowed her to use Sabbath to gather faith.

From that moment on, the world no longer had Priest of Cornelia, replaced instead by the female soldier with the religious name Moira.
