Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 83: Hot Water
Heath parked the car in an underground parking lot of a shopping mall. The mall was located in the outskirts, quite remote, and because it was newly opened, most of the shops hadn’t been rented yet so there were very few people.
Moira Young was truly amazed by Heath’s driving skills. She had been standing by the parking space for five minutes and Heath still hadn’t backed the car in.
Moira Young spread her hands helplessly and couldn’t help but tease, "National level contestant is indeed different."
Heath had been trying to back in for ages but hadn’t succeeded, so he got a bit anxious himself. He made a drift and turned the car around, driving the front straight in.
After finally parking, Heath’s forehead was a bit sweaty. He got out of the car and walked over to Moira Young, looking innocent, "I do race cars, not parallel park."
Moira Young wanted to laugh but was afraid of hurting his feelings, so she pursed her lips and chuckled secretly.
"Stop laughing!" Heath also thought he was quite funny, but for the sake of dignity, he reached out and tousled Moira’s hair, "If you keep laughing, I’ll leave you here and make you walk back yourself!"
Moira Young actually foolishly believed him and quickly covered her mouth.
Heath almost laughed out loud, and when he looked at Moira Young, his eyes had a star-like sparkling thing that kept jumping, slowly jumping into his heart, illuminating his entire chest.
Heath took Moira Young to a restaurant, it was Thai cuisine, and Moira Young had never tried it before.
While living with the Sinclair family before, she always ate Mrs. Miller’s cooking and rarely ate out. Occasionally when eating out, it was always Adrian Grant treating.
Moira Young didn’t know why Julian Sinclair didn’t like eating out.
"What are you thinking about? Why are you spacing out again?" Heath sat across and waved his hand, trying to bring her spirit back.
"I used to think you were a particularly smart girl, otherwise how could your grades be so good? But now it seems, I find you adorably silly." Heath handed the menu to Moira Young, "Not only easily distracted but also very gullible."
Heath’s eyes were full of stars, he felt that Moira Young now had a lot less distance than before. During high school, Moira Young was the goddess jointly selected by the boys’ small group, outstanding in all aspects, especially her looks, which completely outshone all women within a hundred miles.
Now, as he interacted with Moira Young more and learned some things he never understood before, he liked her more and more.
"You’re the silly one..." Moira Young retorted, but she wasn’t angry, instead, she found the adjective rather cute.
"Alright, alright, I’m silly, I’m silly, please Her Majesty Moira review the menu, Chuck is starving——!" Heath exclaimed pitifully, almost rolling on the floor.
Moira Young found his words entertaining and couldn’t help but laugh along, a genuine smile.
She opened the menu and found that she hadn’t tried any of the dishes and didn’t know which were good. So after browsing, she picked two signature dishes and left the rest for Heath to order.
"Heath, is Thai food good? I haven’t had it before." Moira Young asked quietly, curiously watching people eating nearby, it seemed very delicious.
Moira Young was even starting to drool...
"You’ll know when the dishes arrive. I’ve eaten at many places, this one is quite authentic."
"Why have you eaten at so many places? Don’t you eat at home often?"
"I rarely eat at home. I find my mom too annoying." Heath said indifferently.
Moira Young, having always lived in the warm greenhouse of the Sinclair family following Julian Sinclair’s lifestyle, couldn’t quite believe Heath’s words, "If you don’t eat at home, doesn’t your mom say anything?"
"My mom has a bad temper, she passed her bad temper onto me. If we both live under the same roof every day, it’s simply a century disaster, more terrifying than the Earth exploding." Heath seemed to recall something and laughed as he talked.
"Hmm, it doesn’t sound good." Moira Young instinctively added a comment, only to regret it immediately, wanting to stab herself with a knife... It’s Heath’s mom, he could say his mom has a bad temper, but how could she say that!
"I’m sorry! I... I didn’t mean to say that..." Moira Young’s face was full of remorse, sincerely apologizing.
"You said just now you know my mom has a bad temper?" Heath didn’t expect Moira Young to say that, feeling a bit puzzled, "Have you met my mom?"
"Uh huh, I have..." Moira Young relaxed a bit seeing he’s not angry over this.
"Where? Why don’t I know you’ve met my mom?"
"More than two years ago, just after you had surgery, I saw your mom when I went to the hospital to find you." Moira Young recalled, Heath’s mom really had a fiery personality at that time.
"You really went to the hospital to find me? Why don’t I know at all?" Heath had been holding a grudge over this for a long time, he even resented Moira Young because of it, and now she’s telling him she actually went to find him.
Moira Young was just about to say Uncle and Auntie told her he didn’t want to see her, but the words were jammed back as they reached the mouth, it’s better not to say such things.
Heath’s first reaction upon seeing this was, "Did my mom bully you?"
"Huh? No!" Moira Young hadn’t understood the context, instinctively waving her hands, the word ’bully’ sounded strange. At that time, she was only sixteen, how could Heath’s mom, an elder, bully a child...
"You must have come to find me but got blocked by my mom, and then she bullied you, right?" Heath looked at Moira Young seriously, realizing in the end he had misunderstood her!
Just as Moira Young wanted to say no, Heath interrupted her.
"Wait till I go home next time, I’ll get justice for you." Heath leaned back in his chair, his expression a bit grim.
Moira Young didn’t know what this matter meant to Heath.
Only Heath understood, he had resented Moira Young for two years, and it turned out to be a misunderstanding. If not for this misunderstanding, he might have been with her long ago.
He must confront his mom about it.
"Excuse me, be careful not to scald yourself." A server came pushing a cart with the dishes, giving a friendly reminder while serving.
Moira Young was shocked looking at all the dishes, muttering, "Why did you order so many dishes..."
"You said you haven’t tried them, so I ordered all the dishes I find tasty, that way you can taste them all and know what you like, then in the future you won’t be clueless when ordering."
Luckily the tables were big enough, otherwise they really couldn’t fit all the dishes.
Moira Young first picked the dish she was most interested in to try, her eyes sparkled with delight, she was about to say she really liked it when suddenly a girl walked over with an unhappy expression.
She was wearing a tight tank top and ultra-short shorts, her inner thighs showing tattoos.
Moira Young bit her chopsticks awkwardly, looking at the girl then at Heath, and Heath turned his head back, freezing for a few seconds.
The girl stared at Moira Young for a moment, "How come after so long, even your tastes have changed."
Moira Young wasn’t sure whether she was talking about food or people, but regardless of what she meant, Moira Young pretended not to hear and continued eating.
"Do you want something?" Heath seemed not to like her much, he stood up, hands in his pockets, brows furrowed.
"Huh!" The girl sneered upon seeing Heath putting on airs, then picked up Heath’s glass filled with water from the table and threw it straight at Moira Young!
"When you hurt my sister, you should’ve expected I wouldn’t let you off!" The girl’s actions were entirely targeted at Heath.
Moira Young was originally bowing her head while eating, unexpectedly, the hot water burned her skin, the pain was scorching!
