Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Repayment

Heath was too tired to think about anything else. He was so exhausted and had drunk so much last night that he just squinted and walked to another room, then fell asleep.

Moira Young felt alive again after her bath. She dried her hair and stepped out of the bathroom, feeling that staying in Heath’s bedroom didn’t feel right. There was an empty room next door, so she pushed the door open and went in.

Although this room was also a bedroom, it only had a bed and a mattress, without sheets or blankets.

Moira Young patted her own head, thinking she was being silly. Heath lived alone here, so there was no need to have every bedroom made up!

She suddenly thought, did the room Heath went to sleep in also not have any blankets?

Moira frowned and quietly walked to the room where Heath was sleeping. She pressed her ear against the door for a while and didn’t hear any noise. He was probably asleep.

She carefully opened the door, afraid her actions might wake him.

Indeed, this room’s bedroom was the same as before, without any bedding. Heath hadn’t even taken off his jacket and was sprawled out on the mattress, fast asleep.

Moira thought for a moment, then tiptoed back to the master bedroom, picked up the blanket, and returned to the room where Heath was lying.

She quietly went inside and slowly, carefully covered Heath with the blanket. He must be very tired today, so he needed to rest well. Moira didn’t know how to repay him, so she could only do what she could.

Moira looked at Heath’s wrist wrapped in bandages, feeling a bit guilty and sad. She inexplicably wanted to reach out and unwrap it to see the wound, but hesitated and pulled her hand back.

Forget it, don’t disturb his sleep.

Moira sighed softly, returned to the master bedroom, casually put on one of Heath’s jackets from his wardrobe, and gradually fell asleep.

When she woke up, it was already noon. Moira rubbed her eyes, still feeling a bit sleepy. She must have been too exhausted last night to rest well.

She was about to get up when she suddenly remembered she forgot to go to work today!

Oh my god!

Moira frantically grabbed her phone, only to find that at seven in the morning, the company had sent out a text saying it was closed and they didn’t need to go anymore.

She looked at the text in disbelief. How could she lose a job she had finally secured again?

It must be Julian Sinclair!

Moira threw her phone onto the bed in frustration. Thinking about how she had been calling Julian Sinclair’s name in the fire last night made her feel like a fool.

She was too tired to put any more pressure on herself, so she reached out, pressed her temples hard to clear her mind, and then went to freshen up.

Not sure if Heath had woken up, Moira went to check the room where Heath was lying after washing up, only to find he was still asleep.

Moira couldn’t help but think that he looked really cute while sleeping. Last night he slept with his head up, and this morning his position had changed.

"You were watching me sleep!" Heath suddenly opened his eyes, his tone playful, his mouth almost grinning to his ears.

Moira’s cheeks instantly burned, and she hurriedly retorted, "No, I wasn’t!"

"You were caught red-handed, and you still want to deny it!" Heath got up from the bed, fully opened the door, and stretched, "I didn’t know you had such a strange habit!"

Moira pouted. She really didn’t!

"Alright, just kidding!" Heath couldn’t bear to tease her any longer seeing how she wanted to refute but didn’t know how to respond.

"You go freshen up, I’ll wait for you downstairs." Moira bit her lower lip and quickly turned away.

"Okay, I’ll take you for lunch later. There’s a really good restaurant nearby."

Moira nodded and went downstairs.

About ten minutes later, Heath came down dressed, seemingly having taken a shower, his hair still a bit damp.

"Moira, I think you made me silly too. I woke up covered in your blanket and didn’t even realize it. How did you sleep last night? You’re already sick with a fever, how could you give me the blanket?" Heath walked over seriously, and without a word, placed his hand on Moira’s forehead to feel her temperature.

Moira pursed her lips, trying not to resist.

"It’s fine, not cold," Moira replied.

Heath couldn’t tell if she was okay or not. He straightened up and draped his coat over Moira, smiling a little.

He stared into Moira’s eyes, suddenly tilting his head in a slightly roguish manner, jokingly saying, "Don’t be so nice to me in the future, you’ll spoil me."

Moira froze for a second at his words, her cheeks burning again, and immediately turned away. She couldn’t handle such words, it was killing her...

"No... it’s not... after all, it’s your house..." Moira touched her nose and lowered her head, heading outside, "Let’s go eat."

"Alright, let’s eat!" Heath turned dramatically, full of smiles, feeling like a flower was blooming in his heart, romantic and fragrant.

Heath’s small villa wasn’t large, but it had two garages, and the courtyard could also park, meaning he had a total of three cars.

Heath opened the two garage doors, proudly letting Moira choose, "Look, two cars here, one over there, all bought with bonuses and personally modified by me. Whichever you like, we’ll drive today."

Moira didn’t understand cars. She just knew all three looked cool but actually preferred something a bit more low-key and steady...

Moira looked for a long time, not knowing what to choose, feeling all three cars looked the same.

"How about this one?" Moira randomly pointed to one.

Heath paused, then blinked rapidly, "Why did you choose this one?"

Moira felt a bit embarrassed. She just randomly pointed without any reason, if she had to give one, perhaps, "This one has a roof, it looks more windproof..."

Heath burst into laughter, clutching his stomach, almost bent over, tears squeezing out of his eyes.

Moira looked innocently at the boy almost rolling on the ground in front of her, "Did I... did I say something wrong?"

"All three have roofs, I just didn’t open them." Heath finished laughing, coughed a few times, "Get in, let’s drive this windproof one today."

"Not picky at all, but when you do pick, it’s shocking." Heath buckled his seatbelt, talking to himself.

Moira looked at him baffled, not knowing if she’d made a joke again.

"Do you know you picked the one that can’t be driven on the road?" Heath’s eyes were full of mischievousness as he pressed the gas pedal, producing a ’vroom’ sound that startled Moira.

"Can’t be driven on the road? Then why are you driving it!" Moira shrank a bit from fear.

"You chose it, so you have to take a ride today, right?" Heath casually tilted his head, no longer looking at Moira but focusing on the front, his expression turning serious, "Don’t worry, we won’t go into the city."

He then floored the gas pedal abruptly. Thankfully, Moira had her seatbelt on, or she’d probably have hit the windshield.

"Heath... Heath, slow down..." Moira was shaking nervously. She hadn’t felt so scared during the previous two rides with Heath, but today he suddenly went wild.

"I can slow down, but you have to agree to one condition." Heath raised an eyebrow, clearly waiting to say something.

"What is it..." Given the current situation, Moira thought she could agree to anything...

"After lunch, I’ll take you back to school to pack up, then there’s a friendship game at ten tonight. Are you willing to come with me?" With that, Heath floored the gas pedal again.

"Go! Go!" Moira’s heart skipped a beat. She blurted out her answer without even processing Heath’s words.

Heath chuckled wickedly, "Good girl."

Moira then realized Heath had done it on purpose!
